What Do You Think of OUR Country?
I found this on YouTube a few months back. It's from the movie Syriana. Tell me whether or not this is really our country. And tell me WHY.

I unfortunately think that our country has become this. A few years ago, I could say no, but with all this Enron shit. This Iraqi mistreatment shit. This outsourcing shit. This apathy shit. I can't say that anymore.

Another movie review

Syriana. The consensus from rottentomatoes.com: Ambitious, complicated, intellectual, and demanding of its audience,... That's putting it VERY mildly.

WOW. One of the most intense movies I’ve ever seen. So intense and at times, downright PAINful, that there were a couple of times I almost turned it off…I wasn’t sure I could stick with it.

I wept at the end. I wept for the young terrorists and I wept for their victims. I wept for everyone except those in power, on BOTH sides and in both the political AND religious arenas. Perhaps the most dangerous terrorists of all are not the dark young suicide bombers at all, but those of far different persuasions…

Haunting, HAUNTING movie. Watch it if you dare.

Blogs, Movies and Baseball

This is the most ridiculous thing that I have read at Mindsay in a while. hippiechurch is spreading some faulty information here. You would think that people would take the time to at least do a google search before posting such nonsense.

Yesterday I watched a movie full of suspense called Syriana. It stars George Clooney, Matt Damon and Jeffrey Wright. It is kind of a behind the scenes look at big oil companies, corruption and government interests. It weaves it all in together and makes a great film. I give it four stars. Check it out.

Now for the worst team in baseball update. I know you have all been sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for a Kansas City Royals report. The Royals currently have the worst record in the majors at 24-50. The good news is that they have won 7 out of their last 10 games. That is friggin' amazing! Detroit has the best record in the American League at 51-25 and the New York Mets lead the National League with a 47-28 mark.

A Chula Vista Vacation: Day 3
This one is about yesterday, which is why its day 3 and not day 4 lol. ANYWAY! It was the usual, boring, vacation day. Which means I actually got to sit around and do nothing! I got this new program, RPG Maker XP, which siphons off my left-over creativity, which will be really good when I take my Sax in for a tune-up/repair (nothings WRONG with it per-se it just kinda... rattles when I play low notes.... and theres a screw missing at the bottom... which might solve the whole problem....) so I messed around with that, I actually made a Cinematic in this strange version of a 2D RPG which is kinda cool. Then had to get groceries, blah blah blah, did more mundane things, blah blah blah, sat at my computer downloading movies. THEN! it got interesting, my buddy Frank came over and we went to go see that new movie Syriana.
It was an excellent flick, and it was also kinda intense, not as much action as I expected but it was that much better because of it. Then came back home, had to do one more mundane thing before channel surfing and watching whatever seemed vaguely interesting while chatting to a buncha friends online. However! My internet cut out for a bit and kinda abruptly ended those conversations, at which point I kinda just decided to go to bed.
If anyone is interested, I do have some plans for dating come next quarter, but the main thing is to GET STARTED EARLY, that way you catch people before they get all into their classes and you can shuffle later dates accordingly. WHEN I do finally get my first date in college, I'll be sure to blog all about it, til then, expect more strange and crazy scenes from here in Chula Vista (South San Diego County for all you nor-cal and outta state ppl).

PS Look Jenn! PARAGRAPHS!!!
