Superman Returns @ MindSay
I have to blog, apparently, so..erm..here goes ^_^
Me and Mena have made up, after our absolutely God awful week, which upset me loads and led to a rather nasty slanging match on MySpace. But yeah, we've made up, and we're alright now. Meeting up tomorrow, yay ^_^
I've not long come off of Guitar Hero II (PS2). It rocks, more than the original one did. And that rocked :P I also bought Sonic the Hedgehog (Xbox 360), which isn't as bad as all the reviews make it out to be. Eurogamer, I agree with what you say about the game, especially about the very loose controls, the shitty camera and the game's desire to load everything seperately, but it deserved better than a 2. Hell, I thought Superman Returns was pretty shitty myself, and you actually gave that a higher score. Whassat about?
I got Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel too on PSP, but as that's kinda a PSP comic, I've not "played" (see: watched) that yet. Might be a plan for tonight, mebbe. Depends what time I get off the phone to Mena, cos the running time is supposedly around 2 hours.
Umm..what else? Oo, I can't remember if I told you about my application for an ICT Support Officer's job at the local council (yeah, the same council who almost ran me over..small world), but I've been accepted and forwarded to the next part, which is a written test, and has to be done by next Wednesday, squee ^_^
Christmas is in..4 weeks as of Monday. I've yet to do my Christmas shopping. I'm planning on doing it next weekend, cos I can't meet Mena cos she's away for the weekend, and it gives me around a week to plan out what I'm going to be buying the family. One thing's for sure though: I'm not buying as much chocolate this year. I spent about £20 on the stuff last year, and it's only just been eaten fully. So yeah, I might just narrow it down to a tin of Roses this year :P
OK, I'm done. I'll prolly have something fun to blog about tomorrow, so I'll see you then :D

This is one of the biggest movie disappointments for me. You were supposed to make us believe that superman is the greatest superhero not try to prove that you have no idea of what youre doing. This movie had so much potential to surpass every superhero flick but because of the people who interpreted and made it, it failed… and it shows. It started well when it opened but quickly lost its steam (probably because of the word of mouth that it was not that good) it grossed lower than expected. This happened to teach you brian that next time, don’t mess with something that you know nothing about.
Alright, yesterday my sister and her friend and her boyfriend invited me to the movies with them. I went because I didn't want my dad to be all "UMFG! DUHUR! Da, yu nevur leeve deh howse, if ur systr nvitz u sumwr, i wunt u 2 go wt hur!".
We saw Stooperman Comes Back From 5 Years in Space (A.K.A. Superman Returns, slow people).
It was actually really good! I thought it'd be boring. All the movies with rave reviews tend to have a lot of boring talks in them which make me not want to watch them. But Superman was good! REVIEW TIME:
The movie opens with a Starwars-esque opening as the opening credits fly through space, while the classic Superman theme booms loudly. It then jumps back and forth between Superman returning to his mother and Lex Luthor begining his usual devious plot. Lex acts just as a villan who's plot has been foiled umpteen times should, super evil, vengeful and just a little crazy.
The new guy playing Superman fit the description perfectly. He looks so much like a modern day Superman, and his body just fits that suit so well, I wouldn't mind being Lois Lane as he flies her over the Hudson river. He's also a great actor. You can just tell how he's feeling, he's great.
I just couldn't see Kate Bosworth as Lois. I thought she'd do badly, but she was actually good!
The entire cast made this Superman feel just as a Superman film should. With mindblowing action, tear jerking drama, creative villans and a climactic climax, this is how modern-day superhero movies should work.
I watched the Superman cartoons when I was little, but the hero soon faded from my interests. And other than pure nostalgia and the fact that he was a classic hero, Superman seemed forgotten. Then along came the new movie, and he's a cult classic again!
I don't want to ruin anything for you all, but lets just say that the special effects of a crashing plane saved by the superhero have never looked better.
My advice to everyone: Go see it! Even if you're not into Superman, it's still an enjoyable experience.
