One Good, One Bad

Today proper didn't feel like a Sunday. Obviously as Ash and Shelly were both here - it felt like a Saturday.
Both Shelly and I were very surprised when Ash agreed to come and see us both today. We thought she liked her family Sundays - but obviously today was an exception to the rule.

When she arrived, we enlightened her with our exaggerated story about last night's events. Of course, whenever we mentioned the exploding car, we had to wave our arms in the air and make our voices proper high. Ash was pissing herself - I don't know if it was the subject matter or just the way we were gesticulating and articulating the events.

We did a bit of work on the Guitar Hero 5 challenges.
Now that I've found that guide online and discovered that using cheats is A-OK - we're rolling in the stars. Tee hee. I wanted to do some drum challenges, but naturally, mam didn't approve. Arsehole.

Now that I've discovered I've been singing the lyrics to Spieluhr wrong for all these years - I told Ash what her lyrics actually ARE - and we both agree what they ARE is a lot easier than what I THOUGHT they were. :)

Ash got me to try out Half-Life.
I really don't like it, lmao.
I seriously don't like first-person shooters. I like to see my character, for one - but I also don't approve of games where L1 is JUMP. :(

Though the second game I was persuaded to try out made me a lot happier.
Manhunt is so epic. :D
I'm terrible at these type of games though, where stealth and being sneaky are key elements - I'm better at running into opponents and beating them up - but that doesn't work for Manhunt. My way of thinking is landing me with 1-star rankings for all the missions so far. It makes Dixie sad. :(

Though I can't help but smile when I see blood flying about the screen. I grin manically when I suffocate people with plastic bags - and I piss myself laughing when I smash open the skull of a felled victim and their brains splatter up the walls. :D

I also discovered today that Ash, like myself is partial to a saveloy. So I gave her one - though it was a right old song and dance peeling the red skin off them.
Seriously, when I was little I remember eating the skins and nothing came of it... But Shelly assured me it was waxy paper and wasn't for eating. :/

Magpie Curry!

Today didn't have a good start. We had Shelly ringing me up like 5 minutes before I was due to leave the house to go to nana's - asking if she was seeing me today. Now I know she leaves things till the last possible second, but that was just fucking plain ridiculous. I don't think I was proper snappy about it, but I was firm - so she got all pissy about it and hung up on me. The slag.

I took my PS2 to nana's and spent the majority of the day playing Guitar Hero and Canis Canem Edit while nana sat on her PC and played Mahjong - and annoyed me with silly questions about her Facebook.

Ian and Lisa stopped by for dinner too. We talked about our costumes that we're wearing to Ian's Halloween party next Saturday. It should be pretty epic - Lisa's invited Shelly too. She isn't sure about what she's coming as yet. I showed them a photo of the costume that came yesterday - and Ian showed me a photo of the character he's going to be. I'm still not fully clear on what Lisa is planning, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I finished off the whole medium career on Guitar Hero, got from the end of chapter 1 to the start of chapter 3 on Canis Canem Edit - and talked Ian into doing a few of the Emily & Florence penalty shoot-out mini-games on Little Britain: The Video Game. Together, we've sort of worked out how it's supposed to be done - so I reckon I could have a better chance at doing it myself now. Hmmm.

Today's moment of utter hilarity:

Today is mam and dad's wedding anniversary. I don't do anniversaries, but nana got me a card for them. Anniversaries should be reserved for the couple, I reckon. Like Valentine's Day.
Either way - nana asked me if they were going out tonight - and I responded:
"I dunno, if mam finishes late, she'd be in a right MAD PANIC HURRY."

Nana started pissing herself - she thought I'd said mam would be having a MAGPIE CURRY.
Oh really nana. :P

Different Sunday Routine

Today was a weird Sunday - not like my usual routine.
Nana and grandad are on holiday somewhere at a camp down south - so I didn't get my Sunday roast today.
Instead, I got a greasy English breakfast. Mam was shouting me at about 12 to come down - she'd made me a fried egg, sausages, a bit of bacon and a slice of toast. It was a nice change, I suppose.

Afterwards, we watched some Come Dine With Me and a DVD's worth of Desparate Housewives.
And unlike most Sundays, I didn't spend all day playing video games - I actually don't think I played any. :(

Sunday Stuffz

Despite having no major events happen today that would normally have upset me, the mood from last week carried on over. I felt okay yesterday because I had company - but today I had no distractions, other than my PS2.

I took it along again with me and spent most of the day playing Guitar Hero II and Parappa The Rapper 2. Some of the levels are going to be ridicuously hard to get COOL ranking.

I went over to Costcutters with grandad to buy horseradish sauce and instant mashed potatoes. I said to nana I'd have gone by myself, but grandad was insistent that he came too.
There was a mob of baby chavs outside, setting up "penny for the guy" dolls. It's fucking October!
"Penny for Halloween" would make more sense, but even so - they're just dirty scrounging fuckers.

There was more polony sausage for tea today. Nana hasn't got any for a while. It was so yum. :)
And she'd made fairy cakes and lemon sponge cake - boy was it fucking nectar. :D

Oooh, and she's gotten an e-mail from Play.com - apparently Abigail II: The Revenge has been shipped and I should be getting it pretty soon. Excited like. :D

ROLL UP, ROLL UP!

Everyone loves Katamari. :P
I took my PS2 along to nana's today. I was hoping they'd stopped being pricks about the whole personal message thing - and it does seem that they have done. Thank fuck for that.
While I was there, nana played Solitaire and I talked to her while I alternated between We Love Katamari, Parappa The Rapper 2 and Guitar Hero II.

I've managed to complete PTR2 on easy and medium difficulties - and I'm up to the last level on hard. It's a pain in the arse though. I hate leading the song, I always cock up my timing beyond what's acceptable.
And with the completion of the last basic Katamari missions - I was able to finally ROLL UP THE SUN.
I actually didn't think I'd manage it, but all seemed to go well - and I watched the sexy credits. I've unlocked some extra levels too. Now I've BEATEN it, I'm going to MASTER it - by getting all the items, presents, cousins and a hell of a lot more speedy comets. :D

When I came home, mam and I watched a few discs of Desparate Housewives and ate Hula Hoops together. We were awake until like 1 in the morning, so I was knackered - thus making it fairly easy for me to get to sleep. :)

I've decided to change my idea of what to get Shelly for her birthday.
I've declined the idea of GH action figures - namely because they've like tripled in price since the last time I looked them up - but I'm not writing my idea here - I don't know if Shelly still reads this from time to time. We can't be having the surprise spoiled, now can we? :P
