So these pics are kinda lame cause I'm not in the right light, I didn't flat iron my hair, etc..... but you'll get the point! Just remember it looks 43957824985789246524658942758974 times more awesome in person!

Of nachos and bones and sonic booms
Whole grain turkey corndog.
Nachos with meat and cheese.
Broccoli.
Peaches.
Milk.
Unsweetened iced tea.

Yep, it's Parents Having Lunch with the Kids day for one of the grade levels plus Cartoon Ranger's class.

CR had the corndog. I, gulp, had the nachos.  And the rest.

I'm glad I have chamomile tea in stock.

It was GREAT to have lunch with CR.   He showed me how they do things by going in front of me and getting his plate, etc.   He was very happy to have me there.  I was  very happy to be there, of course. And, I "got the memo." I was wearing a red shirt. More than half the kids I saw today were wearing their red uniform shirts (as opposed to white or blue) so I fit right in. :)

I even went to recess with the kids, which was fun. :)

In other news, ShoeWoman broke a toe. (Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery. I told her, "Please, don't flatter me any more!")  My father, The Crunch, broke his wrist.

No, The Crunch was not imitating me. However, he has thusly managed to forestall an examination of his carpal tunnel issues on that same hand. Oh, goodie.

It's been a rough week for bones!

~~~
The Space Shuttle boomed sonically overhead this morning at about two minutes past nine. I had forgotten it was to happen until it did so.  The windows shook. Thing is, though it's been almost a dozen years since I've lived there, I'm a California girl who grew up in earthquake country.  Shaking windows, to me, mean earthquake.  Took me a sec to remember  where it was.
~~~
So that's the latest from my personal space.  :)  It's Wednesday. Not my favorite day of the week, but not a bad one, either!

Ugh and Yay
Woke up at midnight and change.   Stayed awake 'til about four.  Fell asleep.

Cartoon  Ranger woke up at half past four.   Got him down again and dozed off again.

Spousal Unit's alarm starts its little jingo at ten 'til five.  I try to get back to sleep. (I was glad I had made his lunch last night -- I couldn't have done a good job this morning.)

Finally manage it around half past five.

Wake up at six because.... My body said so.  Stupid internal clock.  Besides, the coffee pot beeped that it wasn't waiting on me anymore.  I got a cup of coffee.  Mis-measured my sugar. Ew.

Results:  Forgot I was out of rice so nix on my fave breakfast.  Can't type without a million typos.  Made lunch for Cartoon Ranger -- a hot lunch, too -- and spilled it all over the kitchen floor.  Ouch for my feet.   I keep putting off going to the tax office (car registration) because I have a rotten headache in my left eye.  I have to go anyway.  I am not thrilled.

However! It is my parents' anniversary.  Go, Mums and Mr. Fix-All!  :)

Read It And See - Or Not
I'm struggling to find anyting to say today at all. Which is strange because I have a zillion thoughts going on in my head. So this may indeed become one useless ramble ..... which again when I think about it .... most of them (my blogs) are.

It's now three hours since I wrote that first paragraph.  And I still have nothing.  My excitement of the day was the grocery store.  Always happy to get out of there.

It snowed a bit this morning.  Nice big heavy wet flakes.  Did you know the bigger the flakes the more water content they have?  Small flakes generally mean it's a dry snow and more associated with bitter cold.  Just in case you ever wondered ..... Smiley

I don't like most of my husbands friends.  But then I don't have any friends so what does that tell ya?  My least favorite dropped by as I was leaving for the store.  He's still here.  Drunk.  And annoying.  So here I am reaching for words to put down in this here blog.  What's truly bizzare is Dave has a really low tolerance for drunks.  But for some reason he tolerates old Artie.  Well ..... for the most part he tolerates him.  I have heard him tell Artie to go home.  But not too often.

Turkey chili for dinner tonight.   Now there's some exciting stuff .... in fact I should probably get it going so it can simmer a couple hours ...... so think I'll just go and do that.

Ok ...... I always look at the suggested tags as I'm going along because as you probably know they can be quite trippy some times.  One of the suggestions is this ....... and I'm not lying or making this up ..... "frosted fetus flakes".  Please can someone tell me how this came out of anything I have written.  Did I mentions fetus' in here anywhere???  It's generally a topic I stay away from.  WTF?

As I said before ..... think I'll go and emerse myself into turkey chili for a bit.  And maybe see if I can find some of those "frosted fetus flakes" anywhere ...... EWWWWW!

Hope that everyone's Sunday has been a good one and with a bit more excitement than mine.

Peace.  J.
