The use of pearl in these days is not only limited to the use of pearl earrings, but is also used in various other styles, since there happens to be a great demand from the people. The foremost of them are the pearl stud earrings. This has gained a great admiration in the recent years, since the pearl stud earrings are also well-designed in appearance. But it is true that they are modest and beautiful, but in no way are loud accessories. If you ever have those in your wardrobe or showcase, they are going to have great compliments, and whether you have it in stylish gown or a simple blouse and jeans, they will glitter in the same manner. Well, we though talk of the pearl stud earrings very often, but in reality we are not much aware of their compositions. Now, at the time of buying pearls it is extremely necessary to consider several aspects, of which the shape, size, color, texture and luster are of prime importance. Why? The pearls do come in different shapes and the three main categories are spherical, symmetrical and baroque. In this case, the round and near-round pearls are considered spherical. In addition, while the drop, oval and button pearls are considered symmetrical, the pearls that are irregular and abstract in shape are the baroque pearls. But it is certainly not enough to know only the shapes. You must also be quite confident of the sizes. Remember that the size of the pearl is determined by the measurement of its diameter in millimeters. In general, it is learnt, that the value of the pearl heightens with the size of the pearl.
You can find at best the pearls that range between 5 to 7.5 mm. in the market. In respect of color you shall also have to be crystal clear. It is a general fact, that a pearl can have a different color ranging from the usual white and cream to green, gold, blue and black, only by the means of dependence on the mollusk or oyster that produced it. The color of a pearl is determined by the efficacy of the body color and overtone. Body color is the main color of the pearl while overtone is the iridescent tint that is found on its surface, on top of the main color.
You shall also have to be confident both about the texture and luster. While the bumps, spots and irregularities can affect the quality of the pearl, the luster affects the reflectivity of the pearl. The better it reflects light and surrounding objects, the better its quality. On the other hand, in respect of the pearl stud earrings combination, the pearls are the kind of gemstones that can work well when combined with other precious and semi-precious stones. It can work well with smaller diamonds, rubies or emeralds and can even shine with jade, garnet or moonstone.
There is no doubt that in all measures, the pearl stud earrings are still an elegant choice. Lastly, there is also a great need to tale proper care of the pearl stud earrings. The reason is, since the pearls are delicate organic gemstones they must be treated with special care. You shall have to keeping mind, that they are softer and easily scratched or cracked, once there is a single damage, in spite of great efforts none can restore the beauty.
I was getting a little nervous because I hadn't heard from my Anatomy & Physiology Professor and I need my book. School starts Tuesday! I am weird about having it "all in order". When my surroundings are organized, I feel as if I actually have control of my life. (I know ;)
Wednesday, I get this long ass email with an attachment of THIRTY TWO pages to study BEFORE Tuesday. She says we'll be going extremely quickly through the material and finishing chapter one on the first day. SO I have memorized the Ventral Cavity (and its contents), the Dorsal Cavity (and its goodness). Now I am on the Systems - Like Digestive, Urinary, Skeletal, etc. I still have tons more pages to memorize.
I bought my book from Amazon yesterday cuz they only sell them brand new at the bookstore (RIPOFF) A way to make money off the poor college students. It was $232 at school (And a lecture notes, lab notes booklet is an additional $67). I found the book used for $145. I paid $12 to have it shipped by Friday. I have the HOPE Grant and it pays for $50 towards books so it should cover the lab & lecture booklet. I hope.
I am broke as hell. Had to use Ma-Ma's credit card for the book. I paid $55 from my Amazon account where I've earned money and I also transferred $100 yesterday. So all I owe her now is $213 for the ticket.
And my honey's car payment was due on the 13th. I have no funds for that even available. I get paid today & so does he, so hopefully that'll be enough for rent. And I have to pay his cell bill, the interlock fee....Whoa. Too much to think about huh?
Screw it. I cannot do a damn thing about it. I am here at work, aren't I? I’m in school trying to do better, aren't I? What else can I do exactly?
ON a happy note: Today is Ray's B-day (That's my stepdad- But not technically since my mom divorced him 5 years ago...He lives next door to my grandma, so he is still a frequent member in our life) Mom has mixed emotions about it. Some days she gets pissed saying that she doesn't want him around, some days she invites him for dinner. Who knows. We are all meeting at Ma-Ma's for cake...I'll have Miller Lit instead.
My book (daily devotional) was lame today. It said how the way you dress tells people who you are. Screw that. What if I can't afford to dress exactly how I think I am? I wear jeans & t-shirts & sneakers every day. They're clean clothes, but from Goodwill. And I look a little adolescent (I think). I have tons of clippings from magazines that I would love to have the money to buy: summer dresses, business suits, cute slacks, sandals & blouses...I am on a Goodwill budget so I look like I do because of that. I don't look scruffy, but I don't WEAR my personality.

After going to bed around 2 am last night, I finally got out of bed around noon. I turned on TV and search for things to watch. Finding Sabrina the teenage witch, then Yes dear. Also during this time, I consumed my dinner. Which was meat loaf, and a twice backed potato.
Then it was time to get ready and head to work. Arriving there at 430, for yet another crappy shift. Of which was super duper boring. There was no one there to talk to tonight. At least no one I cared for or knew well enough. Ugh. The only positive thing was going across the street to the bank. Finally 1030 came, and I left.
Now I am home, where I am watching the end of WWE Monday night raw. Which isn't really that great. It's just something to watch. It use to be better, back in the day, when they did more wrestling, then talking. To be honest, it's now pretty much a male soap opera.
So, what's on my mind? Not really sure yet if I like this new hair style. It was good before I slept on it. My hair is so freaking wavy. I dunno if there is a cut that will work on it. Any suggestions? And no, I don't want a short hair style. Read yesterday's blog for more hair comments.
Anything else worth mentioning? I'm off the next 2 days! YAY! It will be like a mini vacation, cause I don't know of anything I have to do, or anything I want to do. So whatever happens, or comes up, does. I don't care. It's just nice not to have to go to work, period.

Thank you to those of you who responded to my ... "Outrageous Question" the other day. I was looking for more reply, but at the same time ... I do realize it is a personal issue and perhaps some were/ are afraid of personal attack ... ? That's not my style.
I am a mother to 3 kids who are searching for their identities ... as we all do in early adulthood. They each have their own struggles as we all do, but I think what I was/ am hoping for is more input about when and how the decision is made to engage in sex with a partner.
Some of you may have seen the episode of "Law and Order" that involced a 14 yr old boy accused of raping 3 or 4 students between the ages of 9 - 11. He was an only child to a single dad, left alone more than perhaps he ought to have been, with access to the internet and TV porn. He formulated a notion that sex = power, and with no alternative viewpoint and no one to tell him otherwise, he set out to ... acquire power!
The episode also, in my understanding, put a great deal of the responsibility on the shoulders of the various media who make this stuff readily available. My kids were raised being taught that sex was something very special and ultimately intimate to be shared only with one person to whom you have committed your future life in marraige. From very early ages they were taught this, but still the bombardment of OTHER voices, OTHER moralities or lack thereof influence their lives more than I would like. (Yup, mom speaking here!)
So ... is sex a sport? Is there such a thing as "casual sex" with no strings? Is there still a double standard, i.e male conquests are HOT while females who sleep with many successive partners are sluts? When & how do you decide YES or NO? Do you have boundaries? If so, where do they come from?
