Happy Valentine's. I agree with
tattooedjen's valentine's post that a day to treat loved ones (friends, family, love partners if they exist) special is not a bad thing. There are a thousand and one things you can do for people that make them feel special today. None of them have to involve little pink hearts.
I also thought the uprising in India against Valentine's was great too-- they don't view this holiday as part of their culture. Good for them.
Okay now for the getting took part of this post--
I have been really busy lately. Hunting a job, changing schools, selling stuff on ebay, adding a new puppy to the mix. The other day (or week) I did a student loan app online, but I couldn't print it because my printer is a piece of crap that only prints every other item correctly. I tried to save the filled out version and my computer crashed because it hates pdf files. I gave up and moved on to the next thing I had to do that day.
A few days later I got a form saying I needed to print out the app, sign it and send it in to get my loan.
Today I finally got a moment to work on it. Only when I went to the site from the letter, it wasn't the real stafford loan site. I couldn't pull up my filled out version of the app. I also couldn't fill out a new one. Then I thought * why isn't this stafford loan dot com? * And went there and printed out a blank form. :D
Maybe the people from the other site are linked or affiliated with stafford, but the site is a bit different. ANd I never mailed in the promisory note to the non-stafford site, but if they are a real fake, they have the info I filled out before I tried to print it.
I hate that somewhere, some asshole perhaps said "People trying to get school loans are busy-- they won't realize this is the wrong site and will sign something in a hurry and will be indebted to me forever, bwahahaha!!!"
or even worse "They will input their info and it will be too late!!"
I hope it isn't too late for me.
