Spring Break @ MindSay
A few weeks ago I tossed around the idea of a road trip to NC for next week. It will be Spring break here. Today I just realized I have not seen my Mom since my Dad died 2 years ago. She has never even met my youngest child. For the past year I have kept in mind that my Mom was going to sell her house and move in with us, so it didn't cross my mind too much to go down there and visit. I've called the kennel and reserved space for my dogs. I can call and cancel at any time. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from my husband what he thinks about this idea. He won't care if I go or not. I just want his opinion.
Boarding the dogs will cost $341 for 11 nights. They are also both due for kennel cough, distemper, and fecal checks. I wasn't going to pay for the fecal and distemper until I had them groomed in a couple months. The good thing is that they will each get a free bath before they come back home. These dogs are filthy, and sooooo need a bath! It's about a 15 hour drive, so that will most likely mean a stop in a hotel each way. The halfway point is around DC. My bestfriend lives in DC, but she is also in NC visiting her parents, and getting a new dog. I might save the money and stay at her place on the way back up because she is going home before me.
I'm still undecided about this trip. It would mean all that way with 4 kids, and none of them are old enough to stay alone in the car. At least I don't think so. My oldest will be 9 tomorrow, so I think by law, she is too young to be with the other 3 even long enough for me to go in somewhere and pee. I have gone to a Quick Stop to get milk and left them all in the car, parked right out front where I can see, with the doors locked, and car running. They all know to stay in their seats and always do. The little guys haven't figured out how to unbuckle their carseats yet. I've called and reserved the kennel space. Now I have a ton of laundry, and packing to do. Plus the van to clean that has been neglected all winter because it's been too damn cold to vacuum it. I think I'm insane for considering this, and if I do this road trip I'll be insane at least by the time I return to NY. The good thing is that I plan to stock my mother's house with at least $300 of groceries, and toiletries while I'm there. She has no spare money, and practically can't pay all her bills since my Dad died. My 46 year old brother does nothing to help her out. His idea of a job is selling his plasma twice a week!!! That's a whole other post which I decided to spare you, and write about my possible trip instead. I'll post if I decide to go. Then if you don't hear from me again you'll know it's because I've been locked in a padded cell!
saturday i spent my day at belmont abbey. i am really excited and ready to go to college.
sunday i went to church and hung out with sarah.
monday i spent the day with sarah because she got her wisdom teeth out. i was being her personal nurse.
tuesday was pretty much amazing i spent the day with Brittany hannah and Gina. i havent hung out with them in forever. it was much needed. and i missed being with just them.
wednesday sarah stephanie and i chilled for awhile. we basically showed stephanie where we go for prom and what not.
thursday i went to the zoo with sarah molly lizzy stephanie carly and jordan. it was great the animals were somewhat active. and the whole walking part wasnt that bad. and stephanie had to pull off this lie to her mom to be able to come. and that was successful.
friday i actually decided to go to forsyth tech since i hadnt been all week. when i got home i had a text message from spencer that said he went to the emergency room thursday night. of course im freaking out and when i finally got a hold of him, he told me that he had fallen down the stairs like an old man and bruised up his back real bad. and later that afternoon sarah and i wer on our way to myrtle beach with my family for my final cheerleading competition FOREVER. and last night while walking on the beach sarah and i met 2 guys. one was really drunk. and the other well wasnt and very attractive. they started talking to us because i was wearing my Belmont abbey got monks? sweatshirt and they were asking me about it. so we eneded hanging out with them for a few hours on the beach. they were marines from Camp lejune and on leave. sarah and i finally left them when they asked for our number. we told them if they want to see us again they will be out on the beach again tomorrow night .
and now im just relaxing until i have to compete later on today.
So my day started off like this; I woke up at 9, and then my friend called( I have a feeling she's anorexic, but I'm not going to say anything about it) to say that we weren't going to be able to meet bc one of my other friends has to do something family related.
OH SHOOT! I just remembered..my g-mas coming over for dinner, with easter candy, and I don't know how I'm going to manage to not eat. Anyway, I'll figure it out.
So then I woke up and had a 1)capoccino. about 100 calories.
2) about 2 bowls of shredded wheat. dammit. 550 calories.
soooo..about 650 calories. But then I have soccer practice this afternoon..always an intense workout,
Although I am afraid that if I lost weight too fast, I'll be too weak to play. Plus if I get mal-nurished. hmmm..
can't be helped.
I'm hoping to get my calorie intake down to 500 calories a day, with fasting in between. I can do it, because I have done it before. I know it.
So today I'm hoping to read this book "Cry the beloved country", and do homework, then go to soccer, then start on this huge history project. I'd also like to get in some core violin practincing, and piano practicing, and clean my room, and start writing a hymn for a contest( prize: 250 dollars; think about all the clothes I could buy with that! Of course, after I get down to 100 lbs.)
11:50 pm
Dammit. Shit. Stupid fucking grandmas and their stupid fucking Easter candy.
