Spirit Week @ MindSay

Well, there's good news and bad news.
Actually, 2 good news' and one  bad news.

Good news 1:  My Spanish test score went up from 67 to 81!  I thought I did horribly, but apparently better than I thought.

Good news 2: My Earth Science test score went up from 70 to 86!!  I felt pretty good about that one after I took it.

And yes, there is bad news too.  And you guessed it - math.

Man...I didn't think I did too great, but an F?  I thought I had all this fraction crap in the bag, but apparently I don't know how to do it right.  I came home and was going to look it over but I couldn't find it ... maybe I left it in the classroom.  So I'm bummed about that, but worse could happen.  I'm going to stay after school tomorrow with my math teacher and see if I can get the hang of this stuff.

It's weird, because I always figured math would be my best subject. I was always so solid with it when I homeschooled, with the occasional glitch that I quickly fixed. I never did do much with fractions though.

This week is "school spirit week."  Each day we dress in different ways.  Class Color day was today, and freshmen wore black.  Of course I forgot though, and in the car on the way there I remembered, and luckily had a black shirt on.  Down the freshman hallway, it was a solid mass of black.  Tomorrow is costume day, so I got this funky "Steven Tyler" wig, as my dad called it.  It's black and red, and is pretty wacky.  Normally I wouldn't wear something like that in public, but you should see whath some of these kids come up with.  They took so much time decorating shirts and stuff, it's crazy.

In phys ed today we started the football unit.  Luckily we're not tackling, because I'm a shrimp and would get pummeled, but I actually really like touch/flag football.  We're doing 2-hand touch.  It's a lot more fun than soccer because the teams are smaller (we divided up into 4 teams) and I get to do more.  I ended up SACKING the biggest jock football player who brags all the time, so that was pretty cool.

Not much to report about other stuff.  My Global scores are doing great, Science is pretty good, Spanish is so-so, and math is awful.  We get our 5-week report thing soon so I'll post my scores on here.

So here are my thoughts.

 

We just had a football game which was awesome. We got Redline and it was outrageous fun. However, I expected a bit more out of it and was semi-dissapointed by the effects. I was hyper in the beginning but it didn't really last. I totally crashed though. But it was still fun.

 

Rowdy Rooters were outta control. It was rather brilliant. I enjoyed wearing my tot redic red and white headdress. I did not enjoy however, the fact that sunflower seeds were being spit in my general vicinity. I wanted to kill. It was not appreciated.

 

We were loud and so obnoctious. There were multiple times where I was on the verge of blacking out from screaming so loud. I'm sure the Redline had something to do with it. But who really gives a damn...

 

We won. Victory is always a plus. Afterwards, Alyssa, Amy, Cus, and I went to Bonnie's where we ate Thom's reject cake, horrible protien bars, and nugs. Some were with Iggy but the rest of us just watched some of The Perfect Storm. We left at about 11:20 and I got home in time to complete late registration for the ACT's with 7 minutes to spare.

 

Tomorrow I get to work the Craft Fair at 7:30 in the morning. Woo. It shouldn't be that bad but I really just want to get an effing dress (or new swimsuit [I can't decide which one]), play some mud football, sleep, eat, watch our newly purchased DVD of X-Men: The Last Stand, and hang out HARDCORE with 'Emily'. Savvy?

 

Mr. Matthew and I have this running joke that I am drunk by 1 o'clock everyday. On my way out of his class (I TA), I told him to have a good weekend and not to party too hard. He looked at me and said, lemme guess, you're gonna go start drinkin about now... aren't you a little late?

Funny shit.

 

Woo for the weekend. Woo for the football game minus some bitchy drama from annoying girly men. Woo to Mr. Matthew for being the coolest teacher ever. Woo for the upcoming spirit week. I'm going to crush everyone in the race for best outfits EVERY SINGLE DAY. Woo for Redline because it made me a huge, rambling, jittery Willard for about half our. Boo to Redline for tasting like shit.

This week at school was Spirit Week. I only did Pink Day and Blue and White Day. It rained all week so all our softball games got cancelled so there goes our season. Plus the pep rally was cancelled too so yea that didnt make me happy. I also got blood drawn.. Im not sure why but they needed it before my surgery so idk.. it was weird. Last night I went to the movies with a bunch of people - Jarrett, Mike, Laura, Tommy, Emily, Tori, Andrew, Ben, and Alex. Yea I was the onyl one who went who doesnt get straight As lol. We saw the DaVinci Code and believe me.. it was one of the most longest confusing movies Ive ever seen. I liked it, but I was so confussed at the end. It was about Jesus getting a prostant pregnant and at the end this girl Tom was with was like part of the line of family.. yes it was weird. I think it would have been better if I read the book but Ive realized I dont read anymore. Last year I read so many books.. this year.. Ive read 2. Yes, only 2. I guess I dont have time or whatever. Josh broke up with Connor and Connor came in our movie and spilled all the popcorn lol! Then she left and yea. Jarrett got in trouble for his cell phone so everytime someone pulled at their cell phone I yelled CELL PHONE! lol. Afterwards, we were trying to walk with Connor but Korinne kept pulling her away.. yea very nice. Some guy was all over Connor and you could tell she didnt like it. Korinne's mom pulled up adn took them home so me and Jarrett walked to Wendy's.. they were closed so we walked to McDonald's lol. Then i finally took him home so yea that was my fun week I guess lol.

All week is Spirit week at school and today is disney day - come dressed in Disney attire.  Well mom made the mistake of telling the Little One before bed last night it was disney day.  She thought she was headed off to disneyland today.  The poor girl has disney on the brain.  She handed out Mickey valentine's day cards and today is Disney day - she is wearing a bug's life sweatshirt and a 101 Dalmation t-shirt.  And all she wants to do is go to disneyland.

 

Today also happens to be the last day of school for the week.  They have a 4 day weekend for President's day.  Speaking of which, did you hear what an Olympic medal is good for?

Thursday we wore our hideous class t-shirts and even though the color of the freshmen ones was pretty the back was still hideous.Gah! I wish the whole school didn't have to have the same shirts cuz I had a really funny idea and it was pretty cute too! Red and white friday was today and it was lots of fun and I wore my band shirt and a red bead necklace and of course I didn't have to paint my hair red cuz its already red so I was set.  Poor Adrianna had an allergic reaction to the paint she was wearing on her face today and when she came into keyboarding her face was red and puffy.
