Spinal Tap @ MindSay

My favorite Live Earth highlights

Alerting msdania -- I think I just saw John Mayer play "Message in the Bottle" with Sting in The Police reunion performance during the Live Earth Concerts for a climate in crisis.  Am I right?

Here's my favorite performances so far:

Duran Duran performs "Planet Earth" for Live Earth

Spinal Tap reunites for Live Earth
with an Army of Bass Players (basically they made anyone with a bass guitar backstage come out and play)

Ode to the Roofers

A pounding, loudly sounding upon my attic roof
A throbbing, gently robbing my soul, I am aloof
A-rap-a-tap-tap the hammers ring
A-rap-a-tap-tap the angels sing
From high above my humble head upon my attic roof
And as the banging, ever clanging
And the nailing, ever wailing
A-rap-a-tap-tap the men keep busy
A-rap-a-tap-tap my head a tizzy
Falls the hammers upon my attic roof
They have gone and all is still
To the bottle and grab a pill
A-rap-a-tap-tap my ears keep beating
A-rap-a-tap-tap the great outdoors I'm not a-heating
And not a sound is heard from my attic roof.

(no subject)
Today was an interesting day I suppose.  I didn't do a whole lot, but I did in fact do things.  I finally worked out, yay!  I've been needing to do that for a while, and I'm very glad I finally went.  Of course, it won't mean anything if it takes me another two weeks to go back, but I still went, and I'm going to be SORE tomorrow.  Work could suck.  Oh well.
I also watched Garden State with the commentary.  That was good...I've also meant to do that since I bought the dvd.  Of course, I was supposed to watch it with Laura Brown...that never happened. :(
My dad and I also watched Spinal Tap.  That is just a classic.  Christopher Guest is just incredible.  He's brilliant and talented and I want to be like that.  The man can sing, act, write, play guitar like a mad-man, and do it all with ease.  Craziness.
Claire sent out two e-mails today detailing possible church music internships/jobs around the Columbus area that are very appealing; especially this second one.  I would be more than happy to do that job.  The first one I couldn't do because I'm not familiar with handbells (I grew up Baptist and then Pentecostal...blame the system), but this second one is just a choir directing job, and it doesn't start until the end of August and goes all the way through June for $100 a week...I make $100 a week now at a job that bores me/frustrates me...I would be much much happier directing a church choir...Right now I think I will at least reply to the e-mail and if it's what God wants, then it'll happen.  I'm of course going to pray about it before I reply and if I reply then I'll pray about it even more...but right now it is quite a possibility.  And, it's good to pray...I rather like it, even though I probably don't do it as much as He would like.  It's a Methodist church too...I might as well be a legal Methodist.  I do love NCUMC.
Oh, and side note to Eric, I figured out what song it was...it was definitely The Perfect Ending.
Well, it's getting late and I'm going to go to my room...hopefully I'll sleep better tonight than I did last night.
God bless!
