Entry 62. [Depressed] --- Nemesis returns!

Dixie currently feels:

Smiley Depressed

(Well what else is new...?)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday was a bank holiday Monday, so I spent the day at Adam's house.

We played a few songs on Guitar Hero III co-op, and got him a couple of groupie points.

Then he burnt me Parappa The Rapper, and I tried it out, did the first few levels, and got the "U Rappin' Cool!" rank on level 1.

When I got home though, I kept failing level 1.

Which was annoying...

Almost as annoying as the fact that memory card slot 1 is broken on my chipped Playstation, so I'll never be able to save PTR, because it will only save to slot 1.

Anyway though.

We sat around drinking Cherry Coke, eating Oreos and sweets - milk bottles and cherry cola bottles - then crisps and salted peanuts.

Adam then suggested he get out the old PS1 and we play Resident Evil 3.

Of course, he played it, I watched and offered my hints. :)

It was great fun actually.

The weird thing was though, every time I seemed to speak - something would happen.

And this happened like five times - every time I started talking, either zombies would jump out of cars, dogs would jump out of windows, or Nemesis would burst out of a door.

Today's been shit though.

It's weird though - I don't think I've done ANY schoolwork today.

- OMFG THERE'S A SPIDER ON THE WALL BEHIND MY MONITOR...

...But yes.

Umm...

Lesson 1 - IT, exam prep, I'm not doing the exam again, I had nothing to do, I went on FPC.com.

Lesson 2 - English, revision, I didn't do a lot, just listened and read.

Lesson 3 - Science, Cowley just talked us through our coursework.

Lesson 4 - Maths, Wilson wasn't even there, we were down in humanities 2, and Miraan, Amanda and I just played hangman for like the whole hour.

Lesson 5 - Media studies, down the CLC, Sam and I just sat there playing hangman on the PC, because we can't really do an awful lot on our project.

Though, I felt depressed all day.

Just listening to a certain set of people who used to be friends with me until they met each other - talking and laughing down the aisle next to me.

So I cut myself a little bit.

At dinnertime, I did my left, and I did my right after school.

Which was a bad time to do it, because as Mrs Mac was talking to me, she took me by the right wrist - as she often does when she talks to people - but she pressed her fingers right into the fresh cuts, and it KANED.

So I just stood there wincing, trying to keep silence, despite how much it hurt.

Tomorrow I have to go and see those people, and I'm not looking forward.

At least mother isn't coming.

Sigh...

THE PREDATOR SPIDER
There is a behavioral link between sexual predators and the predator Spider.

When taken in the context of their hunter instincts,
the Spider sets traps in advance and waits for its prey.

The resembalance between the two as their quest to entrap and feed are quite sadistic.  The only difference is the Spider was created to hunt, trap, feed.  There is not a conscience level of remorse, empathy, or regret.

The spider, after spinning its web, will then wait on, or near, the web for a prey animal to become trapped. The spider can sense the impact and struggle of a prey animal by vibrations transmitted along the web lines.

Portia is indeed, a very clever spider. "Portia is both a web builder as well as a hunter. While it stalks its prey like cats and tigers, it also uses webs to catch its food. It also invades the webs of other spiders and imitate the vibrations made by usual prey, luring the master of the web to approach it so that it can make its kill," said Associate Professor Li.
Spiders with Brains

Spiders are pre-meditated predators. The techniques used in their webbing abilities are specific in setting traps for the prey. Within the construction of the spider's web with each unique style are threads known as draglines or trip lines. The threads when disturbed send vibrations to the predator to notify them that prey is passing by or even intrapped by the threads.

Once the victim is intrapped by the web, the spider then carries on a technique called webbing.   I remember watching this take place one afternoon when someone brought this process to my attention. The Spider seals his target tight with webbing and depending on the type of spider injects venom into its prey. This causes the nervous system to break down so the victim is powerless.

This process is instinctive to the Spider.  Its the way Nature made them.

In my study of different types of sexual predators, I couldn't help but notice the distinctive behavioral similarities of these two completely different species.

Sex addiction has become an epidemic in our society. The immorality rate is in full swing and growing as sexual addictions is now the fastest growing addiction in not only America but other countries as well.

As a sex addiction goes untreated it takes on knew heights  more and more untill they are nothing more than.............................

Are you afraid of spiders?
Because I'm not...

By the way, does anyone know what type of spider that is? Please tell me that it was a rare and deadly poisonous spider that could have killed me painfully in a matter of seconds, cos if it was, that would be so cool.
