Lateness
I never knew how sliding into a pair of old jeans- that a couple months ago couldn't go past my hips- could be so rewarding. My butt was very happy this evening. :D

So how is everyone? Lovely? Fabulous? Tired? Lonely? Hungry? All of the above?  Well I am all of the above for sure and definitely have no problem in saying it. Today was crazy as normal. Woke up late. Got my daughter to daycare late. Got to work late. Left work late. Picked up daughter from daycare late. Took a nap and woke up late. Got to bible study late. Came home late.  LOL. It was a day of lateness all around. And where before I used to get really pissed off, I mean seriously I was livid- now I just realize I can't do it all. I'm not super women or super mom. I can only do so much. If I'm given tomorrow then I'll try again, but getting so worked up...blecch...it expends too much energy.

I'm not sure if I mentioned that Im a singer/songwriter and no I am not just saying that because I sing in the shower or along with the radio. :) I am legitimate. I have actual lyrics to actual songs that have actual music that is actually on a cd...hehe.  So I wrote a new song like a week ago, really great song, one of my best to date I think. I call the producer guy I recorded with last time I did a song and his system is down and won't be back up for a few weeks....grr. I know another dude who is a friend of a friend who has his own studio, but he's gonna charge me and that's not in the budget right now. So ah I could wait till next year, but the song is like that good and I want to get it out and on my website, especially since I have been promising my "fans" I would some new music up. Anyone in the Michigan are know of a producer who will allow me some studio time for a fair and reasonable and CHEAP price, let me know?

I think all of you are fabulous for taking the time to read and respond to the questions. I've been getting so many great opinions from you all here and from my friends, it's really helping me to shape, reaffirm maybe, and definitely make a clear decision. So thank you all!

Im beginning to realize that the more I let go of myself, the more I find myself. Wait. Stop. Think about that for a minute. The more I let go of myself, the more I find myself. Is that so profound? Or have we just missed it completely? Till the next update!

-lexy

P.S. Can you find yourself, by letting go of yourself? And...is there ever a point where you stop discovering who you are?

- My answer is yes. When you let go of yourself, remove some parts, change some parts, renew some parts, you make room for either more or you clear the way to reveal what was there all along. And I believe, now, that discovering yourself is a life long journey. But as most journeys go, you need to know a little about your surroundings first, have a base to start with before you begin your journey. Know a bit of who you are, everyone does to some extent, and then go from there.

What do you think?

Hey Family, Friends, and Fans....

I am so excited to announce the release of my new EP "Last One Standing"! This journey has been such an amazing experience for me.  I had the opportunity to work with so amazingly talented people! \

So what have I been up to ?  Well for one, I went to Georgia and filmed a music video. My brother and director,Vincent Carubia, did an amazing job! Me and my mom worked our asses off on wardrobe, every single day we were there.  It was down to the wire and we were still sewing the black trim and lace on the tango dresses. Julio taught me some tango choreography, I only had about 2 hrs in the rehearsal studio to learn the dance. I was getting so frustrated with myself, but it sank in after a few days of not doing it. Despite the normal stresses, it was really a blast, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! I made alotta new friends in Georgia (Jorge,Julio, Mandee, Paul, Jasmine, Bryan, Karina)...You guys made it seriously a BLAST !

So now I'm back, and since then I have been rehearsing with the full band. I can't wait to start playing live shows again, and I REALLY can't wait for the CD release party... It will be in January sometime, so all the holidays will be outta the way :-D  I have some other interesting stuff goin on right now, but I think it'd be best if I kept it hush hush till it's certain...I don't wanna jinx anything !! I will update soon :-D

About PUFF

Hello,

My name is Michiele my friends call me Puff, which is a childhood nick name.  I joined this site to meet down to earth people and to collaborate with individuals in the music industry if possible. I'm a struggling songwriter willing to collab. with individuals who are willing to be a team or are serious about what they love a I hope one of those things is music/writing songs.  I have three beautiful grandchildren whom I love with all of my heart and soul.  I would love to pursue this goal especially, before I leave this crazy world, this goal is a dream I have had since I was a young girl and I promised myself that I wouldn't let nothing or nobody discourage me from following my dreams and pursuing my goals.  It has definitley been a challenging quest so far, but not enough to make me give up.  God is my strength, I leave it all up to him to guide and comfort me thoughout this journey of my life.

I have or shall I say lupus is a part of my life now, it attack me in the later 1990's, if anyone can relate or have family or friends who have it also, you are welcome too.  I really need support from caring people who understand what I am going through or has the patience to get to know me for me.  I believe that laughter is the best medicine, I'd love to accompany myself with comedian type people or just people who know how to have fun, who's not afraid to be silly sometimes or/and definitely not negative.  Please NO NEGATIVE PEOPLE.  Stress seems to be my worst enemy I try my best to stay away from it.

lying in my field of fireflowers

well seeing as waterfli isn't coming on anytime soon i guess it's my turn again today...and i will bore you by talking about umm...the songs i write! yes there we go, songs:).

now if you've read my previous post on wiltedflame (lmao i can't get over how i gave him such a pretty boy name sorry back to the post) i put in a song. ano, i think that one was 'why can't i be the one'. i write a lot of songs sorta like that some are about love, some are the pressure in life, some are death around us (like relatives dying), some are about apathy, and some are just for the sake of venting emotions and being all 'emo' as my friend um...BuffyMcHuge would say.

See im totally capable of making awesome names for people;). ok fireflower back on track for the poor unsuspecting readers...

ANYWAYS, yeah i thought i'd share with you some song lyrics or at least my favorite as of today. Well i'll share with you the chorus of 'Ghost of You' because it's DawnShowers fav (love you hon) and the chorus of 'Lying Beneath' because it's new and i love it So first Ghost of you:

"I feel the ghost of your breath

I hear the ghost of your voice on the wind

I fear the ghost of your death

I realize loving a ghost is a sin

But I see you once in a while

I long for the ghost of you

When I see the ghost of your smile

I’m haunted by the ghost of you"

Like it? i sure hope so:P and now onto 'Lying Beneath'

This ain’t right

This ain’t real

This is only for tonight

So why does it feel

So right lying beneath the stars

So real your hand in mine

So good cradled in your arms

So familiar lost in your eyes

So cold without you by my side

Yet so warm, with you in my sight
So complete what you feel inside

Beneath the cover with you tonight

hope you like that one to:P anyways just to you know let you know it is COVER without an S so it's NOT coverS like sheets it's a metaphor for cover as is like mask or facade, a front that we have to keep up to be accepted. and it's beneath this cover that they feel so together and happy and in love Smiley <-------like that, lol. and these are both for two seperate stories that im working on the first is for (you guessed it) a story called Ghost of You and the second is for a trilogy called Lying Beneath Auroras. so yeah i hope you like it and if you know you want me to be happy you could reply and talk about how good/bad i am at song writing or i could tell you bout my stories im more than happy too.:)

you can always fine me here lying in my field of fireflowers Smiley

Managing New Entertainers

I just found out that a fellow singer/songwriter has gone into managing. Jeff Goodin used to be in a rock band several years ago. He decided along with his wife and family to give up the touring time and spend that time with his family.  Jeff continued to write songs, as many of us do, with no thought as to what he would do with the songs written. For many of us, when the words and music hit, you have to write it down.

In the last few months Jeff decided to go to the recording studio and get some of  stuff down on tape with thoughts of maybe sending it to some artist in hopes they would listen to and want to record his music. I have heard his demo and think it is great. Of course I have my own favorites.

Jeff came upon a young artist at the studio and just for the heck of it asked her to sing a few of his songs. One inpaticular song is called " The Table At The Door"  She did a great job in the recording of the song. Jeff began to pitch the song around to a few radio stations and I am proud to announce that it is getting some airplay in the Texas area.

Instead of waiting on the studio or other factors, Jeff approached the young lady with an offer to be her manager.  He said instead of sitting around waiting for someone else to do it, or just letting the song sit around collecting dust he decided to really get in the swing and push it.

Lacy is now appearing in several places around Texas and getting more radio time as well. Congratulations Jeff on taking the inituitive to get your songs heard. Also Jeff has taken on another new talent, Tyler Wade.
