Left-Fascism Awareness Week and Free Speech

Were you aware of Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week of October 22 – 26, 2007? It was a week in which David Horowitz sponsored a tour of experts to speak at Colleges across the nation about Islamist Theo-political ideology and its dangers. Horowitz had to receive an invitation from a College/University or a group affiliated with said College/University.

Well certainly the Mainstream Media (MSM) and Leftists Professors became aware. There was inspiration from some academia to Left Wing Affiliated groups to not respect “Free Speech” and heckle and disrupt the speaking engagements.

Imagine if Conservative anti-jihadists heckled Ahmadinejad who was invited by Left leaning Ivy League University Columbia to speak. The MSM would have had a field day of condemnation accusing Conservatives of being rude fascists interrupting the “Free Speech” of man that has been involved in actions hostile to Americans since the very beginning of the Khomeini Iranian Revolution in the late Seventies. Ahmadinejad was one of the key figures that held Americans hostage at the American Embassy in Tehran under President Carter’s Administration. It has been speculated that he was even involved in torture of those Americans (which is far above what the Left calls torture in by American Intelligence).

Don Feder believes the Slanted Right should go to the next level probably due to the lack of balanced respect for “Free Speech” on the part of the Slanted Left. Feder is arbitrarily (via a personal concerned journalistic perspective) calling for the week of November fifth to be “Left-Fascism Awareness Week.”

Although I doubt that Feder has the resources of a Horowitz to construct a National tour, the point is the LEFT are closer to fascism then the Slanted Right.

For example both Hitler’s Nazi party and Mussolini’s fascist movement were Slanted Left movements, not right wing movements as the Leftist propagandists might have the average American believe.

The word “Nazi” was a German acronym for National Socialist German Workers Party. Hello! The words “socialist” and “workers” are Leftist terms.

Here is an excerpt from a Sheldon Richman article written in The Concise Encyclopedia of Economics about Mussolini’s fascism:

The best example of a fascist economy is the regime of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Holding that liberalism (by which he meant freedom and free markets) had "reached the end of its historical function," Mussolini wrote:

"To Fascism the world is not this material world, as it appears on the surface, where Man is an individual separated from all others and left to himself.... Fascism affirms the State as the true reality of the individual."

This collectivism is captured in the word fascism, which comes from the Latin fasces, meaning a bundle of rods with an axe in it. In economics, fascism was seen as a third way between laissez-faire capitalism and communism. Fascist thought acknowledged the roles of private property and the profit motive as legitimate incentives for productivity—provided that they did not conflict with the interests of the state.

Fascism in Italy grew out of two other movements: syndicalism and nationalism. The syndicalists believed that economic life should be governed by groups representing the workers in various industries and crafts. The nationalists, angered by Italy's treatment after World War I, combined the idea of class struggle with that of national struggle. Italy was a proletarian nation, they said, and to win a greater share of the world's wealth, all of Italy's classes must unite. Mussolini was a syndicalist who turned nationalist during World War I.

Did you catch the words “class struggle” and “proletarian?” Again, Fascism is a variation of Slanted Left concepts not the concepts of Freedom, Liberty and Individualistic Rights by government manipulation of the citizens of a nation.

Equating fascism with right wingers is the typical propagandist lie of left wingers.

Ergo friends, support Feder’s call for a Left-Fascism Awareness Week on a personal level. Educate a friend, a co-worker or write in a blog or editorialize in your local newspaper. You will probably discover first hand what fascism is truly like. You will be shouted down in an encounter with a Leftist or censored by a newspaper, for that is the nature of the “Free Speech” from the Slanted Left.

Ahmadinejad Squirmed Way More than Portraying Defiance
Protestors against Ahmadinejad at Columbia (NYT ph hosted for free by ImageShack

Amazing! The New York Times writes of Ahmadinejad as if he were a heroic Mohammedan standing bravely and defiantly in the midst of his detractors. You have to read way down in the article that Bollinger asked strong questions and even then portrayed Ahmadinejad’s response was a frozen smile. The NYT spun the facts and made Ahmadinejad look like the good guy for his beliefs and hypocritical criticisms of Israel and the West.

Ahmadinejad says Israel does not have a right to exist because it is racist State, yet the NYT fails to report Shia and Sunni Mohammedan exploitation of non-Mohammedan peoples living within the Middle East.

The NYT gives emphasis to Ahmadinejad’s comments about American possessing “fifth generation atomic bombs” while America wishes to prevent Iran or “other people who just want nuclear power”. What a bunch of Mohammedan crap! Everyone knows that the grade of uranium Iran is producing is way beyond peaceful commercial usage of nuclear power, indeed it is weapons grade uranium. And everyone knows that combining the technology of long range missile with weapons grade uranium is a given for production.

The NYT is skewing the news to the Left when they had an opportunity to both make Ahmadinejad look like the murderous freak that he is and praising Slanted Left Columbia President Bollinger with questions that would or should make a Slanted Right person happy.

Ahmadinejad squirmed way more than portraying defiance.

More Words about Jerry Falwell

Jerry Falwell died May 15, 2007. That is a little over a month as of this writing. He was a man that evoked little middle ground: He was honored or despised on a huge polarized scale. Most might believe that that those that carried great disdain for Rev. Falwell were all Slanted Left individual; however I can vouch that some Conservative of the Right disliked him as well. My own son he tends to be a Slanted Right Libertarian (almost an oxymoron these days) had words characterizing Falwells death in the same hate terminology I have heard from the Slanted Left which despise the Christian Right like hungry piranhas in a feeding frenzy.

I myself have had mixed feelings toward Rev. Falwell over the years but never on the scale of hatred espoused by way too many people. My disagreements tended to be over theological issues more than politics (He a Baptist, I a Charismatic Pentecostal oil and water). Yes, Rev. Falwell too often inserted his foot in his mouth politically; however we all have. The arm chair politician is not famous, Rev. Falwell was famous. Thus when Falwell allowed his personal feeling to move his lips before his brain the Slanted Left media was there to make sure all America heard about it.

I am on a Richard Viguerie email list. Viguerie is a paleoconservative that is gaining momentum among the Conservative Right because of President Bushs bad decisions. Needless to say Viguerie is not a Bush fan, yet he is a staunch Conservative. Here are some belated words about Reverend Jerry Falwell sent via email on a June 19th delivery.

The Enduring Legacy of Jerry Falwell

Manassas, Virginia 20110

FOR RELEASE June 19, 2007

What was it about Jerry Falwell that, even after his death, drives liberals crazy?

Journalist Christopher Hitchens called the minister "a little toad" with "chubby little flanks" and called his ministry a "get rich quick scheme,” adding that Falwell may not have read the Bible: "I would doubt that be could actually read any long book…at all.” Said Hitchens: “I think it’s a pity there isn’t a Hell for him to go to.”

Alan Wolfe of Salon.com wrote: "One never wants to speak ill of the dead, but in the case of Jerry Falwell, how can one not?"

In the Calgary Sun, Kathleen Parker wrote: "Jerry Falwell's prosaic death has elevated speaking ill of the dead to the level of sacrament.”

Bill Maher, on his HBO program, remarked, regarding Falwell, that "Death is not always sad.”

Amanda Marcotte, John Edwards's former campaign blogger, wrote: "The gates of Hell swing open and Satan welcomes his beloved son.”

In the New York Times, columnist Frank Rich wrote, "Mr. Falwell was always on the wrong, intolerant side of history...Mr. Falwell had long been an embarrassment and laughingstock to many, including a new generation of Christian leaders."

Cathleen Faisani, religion writer for the Chicago Sun Times, wrote that "my initial reaction to the Rev. Falwell’s death was, and remains a relief…The Rev. Falwell was a spiritual bully. He was Tony Soprano."

During one report, CNN lingered for 15 seconds on a protester's sign that placed Falwell's face next to Hitler’s.

Beyond these gratuitous insults were statements in the mainstream media about Dr. Falwell’s legacy that showed a lack of understanding of Falwell, his followers, and the broader world of Christian conservatives.

One reporter or commentator after, another suggested that Dr. Falwell's power waned in the last 20 years. In fact, he simply changed his focus--from a short-term emphasis on direct political activity to a long-term emphasis or producing new leaders for America and the world.

The Falwell legacy includes:

·                                 Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia, which Dr. Falwell founded in 1965. In 40 years, his 35-member congregation grew to 22,000.

·                                 "The Old Time Gospel Hour," the longest-continuously-running religious program on television

·                                 Liberty Channel, a satellite-cable network offering inspirational, family-friendly programming;

·                                 Liberty Godparent Foundation, helping unwed pregnant teenagers, babies, and adoptive families through a maternity home and an adoption agency.

·                                 Elim Home, providing a place of protection and care for men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

·                                 Liberty Counsel, with affiliate attorneys in all 50 states, providing free legal assistance on matters related to religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and the traditional family.

·                                 Liberty Christian Academy, an accredited institution with 1,000 students in pre-school through the 12th grade.

·                                 Liberty University, which is creating a new generation of religious-conservative leaders, with a current enrollment of 9,600 on-campus students and over 18,000 in off-campus distance learning programs. The Liberty University debate team has won national championships in all three intercollegiate debating associates for two consecutive years. The first class just graduated from Liberty University's law school.

Since Liberty University was founded in 1971, it has produced more than 190,000 graduates, including about 11,000 who have become pastors and are carrying on the ideas they learned from Dr. Falwell.

Over the next 10 years, Liberty University is on schedule to graduate over 200,000 conservative Christians who will be future leaders in ministries, the law, public policy, and politics. A school of engineering will start in the Fall and a medical school is in the works as well.

Before Jerry Falwell, most evangelical Protestants--if they were involved in politics at all--were Democrats.  They made up Jimmy Carter’s base, without which he could never have been elected president.

But after Carter’s IRS falsely attacked Christian schools as segregation academies, and after Carter supported items on the left-wing agenda such as the so-called Equal Rights Amendment, Jerry Falwell helped bring millions of social and religious conservatives into politics on the side of Ronald Reagan and other political conservatives.

The Republican Party owed its 1994-2006 majority in Congress to the tens of millions of former Democrats who followed Jerry Falwell into the GOP.

At the same time, Dr. Falwell broke down ages-old barriers between conservative Protestants and Catholics, Mormons, Jews, and others.

Peter Applebome wrote in the New York Times that Falwell “helped pull off what had once seemed an impossible task: uniting religious conservatives from many faiths and doctrines by emphasizing what they had in common.”

NBC’s Tim Russert acknowledged that Falwell was able to “suggest that religious people, whether they be Protestant, Catholic, or Jewish, could come together on conservative issues and have real political influence.”

Zev Chafets, who has written extensively about the relationship between evangelicals and Jews, wrote in the Los Angeles Times that “American Jews who now take evangelical friendship for granted need to know that it is, to a large extent, a grant from Jerry Falwell.”

A man, beloved by almost everyone who knew him, overcame ages-old divisions and brought millions together in a cause that changed the course of history. Dr. Falwell’s legacy will continue to be felt in our nation for decades to come.

Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
Chavez & Ahmadinejad.jpg hosted for free by ImageShack

On various blogs that I participate on, I often receive negative commentary due to my Christian Right Neoconservative bent.

Incredibly one of those comments from a Slanted Left thinker implied that Hugo Chavez is doing a good thing for his Venezuelan citizens. If Venezuelans voted to reelect Chavez, why should America involve itself in Venezuelan politics or Chavez’s anti-American antics? That was pondering of a Leftie.

Apparently the Left in the West is so virulent against Bush that they do not comprehend the harm to National Security Chavez can ensue. Indeed, Chavez’s new pal President Ahmadinejad of Iran will hamper International Security. Iran is a rogue nation that has been proven to support financially and with the supply of military weapons to known terrorist organizations.

So is Chavez good for Venezuelans?

Why Intellectuals Still Support Socialism

The Ludwig von Mises Institute was named after its namesake. Von Mises was part of what is known as the Austrian School of Economics. The Austrian School (not actually a school) became a moniker for Free Market Capitalism and highly against Socialist and Communist economic systems. After World War II von Mises economic intellectualism largely ran opposed to John Kenneth Galbraith. Galbraith’s economics was heralded as the standard of the day: mixture of socialist controls and market enterprise. Thus von Mises and the Austrian School intellectuals fell out of favor. They started making a come back just before the Reagan Administration.

The author of an extremely well laid out essay – Peter Klein – relies heavily on another Austrian School economist by the name of F. A. Hayek.

This is what caught my eye about this essay: The reason there are so many socialist/Left slanted Academics at universities, colleges and schools in America is because the free market intellectuals eschew academic intellectualism for making real money in market society. The intellectual Leftist does not have the acumen to make money so they theorize how money should be spent. Thus the slanted Left intellectuals dominate Academics and the Slanted Right intellectuals make the money.
