Contract of Evil is a fantastic fan film which goes where Star Wars Episode I failed to go: to the uprising of Darth Maul. The filmette opens with the traditional Star Wars titles, being the words “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” followed by the yellow introduction text, which creates a nostalgic feeling for the viewer. The film then begins on an unknown desolate planet, on a series of rocky cliffs licked by the constant waves of an untamed ocean where a small spaceship lands, and out comes Darth Terrax to seek his targets. Darth Wroth and Darth Anarcus emerge from their lairs snarling at Terrax as he announces that the secret Brotherhood of Darkness wants them dead, and that their journey to the Dark Side is over. The three begin to duel and after fierce saber fighting, Darth Terrax’s head gets chopped off by Wroth’s lightsaber. As Wroth examines Terrax’s remains, Anarcus makes a bold cry.
