For fans of Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain this is either a sacrilege or really cool. For me, I am dumbfounded by the amount of work that went into an ad for a car. They recreated the exact set from the movie taking 22 people 14 days to do it so it matched it perfectly. Then they hired a dancer and with the use of computers placed gene kelly's head on his body. The result is amazing...it also probably has something to do with the fact that I love remixes of all kinds. I like the idea of taking something old and making it new again. Well, the Singing in the Rain auditions went pretty well. They were fun, anyway. I didn't get listed for callbacks, but maybe I'll be able to get a small role? You never know. And the singing part actually went okay!!! Yay!!! ^__^ The only time I ever really sang in front of people using my normal singing voice was for this play audition in 7th grade, which was a disaster. ^^; (Luckily I got to redeem myself later, eheh...) I had a solo last year, but that was an angry head-chopping song. People generally don't sing angry head-chopping songs in high pitched voices, so it all worked out. I can't wait until Tuesday, I believe that's when the cast list comes out. Oooh, I hope I got in.... *__*
Anyway. I wrote my act II summary for that Romeo and Juliet thingie (see previous post), but I won't post it here because I did it late last night just to get it over with, eheh. A bit dull. Anyway...um. Not much else today, other than this week was really long and full of homework. Yay for Friday!
