My favorites were actually Meet John Doe and Libeled Lady. I watched Libeled Lady last night and was impressed at the comedy and caliber of the performances. Meet John Doe is a really underrated Frank Capra film. Because of the ending. It is not a flashy, happy ending, but on the flipside, I find it puzzling that it is not more highly regarded.
Another highlight was Place in the Sun... a film where things get out of control (in the plot! that's good), and it is well done.
I'm looking at the list and I have to say I don't really have a least favorite. They all were pretty good. There are certain things I liked about Sin City, but it was a little too much violence-wise and the way they portrayed women. However, I did like the Bruce Willis character and the "Nancy" character (when she was a little girl). I was a little disappointed by Blade Runner, I will admit. Even though Harrison Ford was kind of hot back then, and the beginning was strong, I kind of lost interest in the film.
There was also an embarrassing moment in The Two Mrs. Carrolls when Humphrey Bogart makes a play on a phrase that he used in Casablanca which was released just a handful of years before.
Other than that, great movies this month!

yesterday our couch and our chairs were delivered, so kim and i spent much of last night fixing up the living room. it looks a lot nicer now, and when we were done her friend Robert came over, we got stoned, and watched Sin City. :D i'd always wanted to watch that while i was high...lol. the two of them had never seen it before, and i was trying so hard not to laugh cuz i knew what was coming and stuff...yeah, good times, haha. it sucked cuz i didn't get anything done, though, but oh well. i did clean up my room a bit and i need to do laundary, so i'll probably talk to Kim about that if she's home when i get home. she hasn't been much lately.
after my last class today I went over to the smoking area on the way to hang out with Gabby and a bit with emo Jimmy again. before emo Jimmy got there Gabby told me that on Friday at some point after I got to the party Erin went up to Axel and told him i'm a prostitute. talk about water under the bridge, huh? at least i know i did my part to not perpetuate any drama, and yeah Erin was drunk, (i knew that was the only reason she was happy to see me), but pretending to be your friend and then talking shit behind your back is something she does when she's sober to just about everyone. I honestly don't care all that much because I'm not really surprised and Gabby told him about how that's not true and that its a rumor that Mike and Jon started last year. i def have much <3 for that girl. The only thing is that now I want to ask raver Jimmy if he heard anything about this last year cuz he was room mates with Evan, and cuz i'm sure none of you remember this, Evan was good friends with Mike and Jon through all of first semester and much of second semester. It always seemed to me like he had cuz he was surprised when I told him he's the first guy that made me cum on the bottom and that i've had a simultaneous orgasm with, not to mention other little hints he dropped me that suggested that i should be uber experienced. Gabby told me once that i give off this vibe that i've done hella sexual things, and i think that's because i don't mind talking about them. The truth is i've had sex 40 times in my whole life TOPS. i'm not that experienced it and didn't realize it until February, but yeah, i dunno...i guess if he says he didn't hear anything about it then i'll ask him about that, cuz i've just been curious to ask people i know about that in general, lol. should have asked my room mate last night when we were talking about sex...well, it'll come up again. :P i just wonder if Erin said anything else about that to anyone else there cuz there was this one guy there who sits behind me in my comm class, but i dunno. i have too many things to worry about other than that mess.
i guess then i'm gonna leave work now. i'm gonna go to the bookstore, get more poster things, and go home!
My dad called me old fashioned and retro. Just because I have a tape player/radio instead of an iPod like him... geez. Hey, c'mon, I get tapes AND radio. Whatever, you all know you want to be just like me.
I watched Sin City tonight with Mike. Awesome film. I love the comic book style. The ending wasn't the best in the world, but wasn't unsatisfactory or anything. Man, I wish I could be an ass-kicking, sword-swinging sexy woman like the hookers in Oldtown or whatever it was called.
Yay for days off on Thursday. So I guess that's just one day off. Same thing. Pfft.
