SIMPLE ACTS OF KINDNESS

I woke up this morning and a realization hit me that made me cry ....

as stupid as it may sound and I apologize cause Julie's whining again .... but .....

I did not receive one birthday card yesterday .... not one. I asked myself how many people turn 50 without some kind of cute funny insulting birthday card? Me. Not from my mom, not from my husband .... and yeah, it made me cry.

We went to dinner last night, I really didn't want to but decided that if I could grab a cache that I'd been wanting to grab I'd go. Its a night find, needing a flashlight and is in a cemetery. So after 2 1/2 margaritas I grabbed the GPS left mom in the car, grabbed Dave and went ghost hunting for a cache. I was a fun trip through the cemetery and a nice way to end the day. We brought the camera but as usual, being ever prepared, dead battery. ***sigh***

So this morning after the crying jag, I proceeded on with my day. I'm waiting for some beads to arrive so I was anxious to get to the mailbox this morning. And there were no beads ..... but what there was made my day ....

tattooedjen had sent me a card. Its amazing how something so simple can bring such happiness to someone who has a hard time finding it anymore. It was a great card with a multi-purpose message .... and I don't know if you, Jen, will ever realize what this meant to me. It was a needed pick me up and a total surprise. Love you girl. ((((HUGS))))

So remember that when things sometimes get so bad you feel like you can't go on ..... someone out there cares .....
