Filter - Hey Man Nice Shot

I wish I would've met you.
Now it's a little late.
What you could'a taught me;
I could've saved some face.

They think that your early ending was all wrong.
For the most part, they're right;
But look how they all got strong.

That's why I say
Hey man nice shot.
Good shot man.
Thats why I say
hey man nice shot.
good shot man.

A man has gone,
A man has fun,
Nice shot!

Now that the smoke's gone;
And the air is all clear;
Those who were right there;
Got a new kind of fear.

You'd fight and you were right,
But they were just too strong.
They'd stick it in your face and
Let you smell what they consider wrong.

That's why I say
Hey man nice shot.
A good shot man.
Thats why I say
Hey man nice shot.
What a good shot man.

A man has gone,
A man has fun,
Nice shot!
A man has gone,
A man has fun,
Nice shot!
A man has gone,
A man has fun,
Nice shot!
A man has gone,
A man has fun,
Nice shot!

Oh nice shot man!

I wish I would've met you,
I wish I would've met you,
I wish I would've met you,
I wish I would've met you;
I'd say nice shot!

My Life - Saddened

 I wasn't sure what to post tonight. There are some good things to post and then there are some bad ones. I think I need to exorcise a ghost that's been on my mind lately. Sometimes, we see images that stay with us and bring us bad dreams. This is one of those.

 My list of things I've seen that I wish I hadn't #1836:

 The man was crouching on the edge of the footpath, pointing his gun up the street at someone or something I couldn't see. He was using the shelter of the building next to him to duck back behind if he needed to. He kept low and fired often, he was fully engaged in his activity. The day was hot and dusty, the air was still and smelled of gunfire and the unique scent of the desert.

 Suddenly, the area about the man was peppered with small spouts of dust. I heard the impacts as tiny thumping noises in the near distance. It was obvious that someone, unseen to me or the man was shooting at him. He had obviously been hit several times as he fell slightly to one side and lost his balance, sitting hard on backside. He put down his hand to steady himself.

 The really shocking thing about this event, is not that he was shot or that it was a bright, sunny, normal day in Baghdad. The really shocking thing, the thing that gives me nightmares is the look on his face, the look of a man who has been surprised by death. The first peppering of bullets surprised the man so much that he looked about to see what had hit him. He knew something had knocked him off balance but he didn't know what. His face was surprised, his eyebrows raised as if he was asking a question. He wanted to know what had hit him, who had done it. He looked all about him looking for the answer and it came. The realisation that he had been shot came just an instant before a second spray of bullets rained on him.

 This man had been so confident that he would always win his battles, that he would survive this war and tell his children about it, that he honestly didn't understand that he'd been shot. The understanding that he was about to be shot again and that he would die this time, came just an instant before a second round of tiny puffs of dust covered him and the area around him. He was just then trying to lift himself off his bottom to scramble to safety. He fell hard to the ground, the way people do when they are shot instantly dead (not catapulted off their feet as in the movies) and the surprised look on his face was soon replaced with the unmistakeable mask of death. The eyes half open, half closed, the mouth slack and all the facial muscles totally relaxed.

 That man died in just a moment, a flash of seconds and neither he nor I saw the man that killed him. Death isn't always forwarned, we don't always see what kills us. Sometimes, we die quite unawares.

 Before you get the wrong idea, I wasn't there when it happened, I saw it on a tape made by a foreign journalist but it left an deep impression on me. It's one of the tapes you probable won't see on sanitised TV

I hope I can get this out of my mind now.

Deep Question

I can't think of a subject title.

This question I am going to ask actually hits close to home for my family.  On the side of the shooter.  I am going to be up front right off the bat.

Little back ground before I go to my question.  Both sides of my family are HUGE hunters but my mom's family does more and does more what the gov't calls big game hunting.  Deer.  Don't ask my why they considered Deer big game but they do........again gov't idiots!   I was in highschool when an incident concerning my Uncle, who is my current landlord happened.  My cousins B, and J (Uncle's sons) and my uncle hunt their land and their land only.  They also set aside so much of it for the area hunters to hunt and then set aside the real crap land near the hiways and such for the Southern Hunters.  Well B, J, and uncle went to a deep field near another farmers fields and friends of theirs.  Friends of my family also because we all went to church to gether and there was a girl my age and a girl my sisters age.  Now your suppose to wear hunter orange while out especially if your out during hunting season!  Saves your ass from being shot!  Uncle, B and J took deer stands down in a wash out area and they all spotted what was thought of as a deer, B and J said take the shot Dad.  My uncle took the shot.  My uncle has never deer hunted since he took that shot and just now one of his brohters mentioned to him to go out with him...........the farmer that had fields next to my uncle's, his son who KNEW it was hunting season was out chasing down something and didn't wear hunters orange and all three of my fmaily memebers thought he was a deer!  Shot him in the leg!  Now my Uncle took full responsiblity, paid all the medical, paid for all the therapy.  They called 911, they called the ambulance, they called the family.  The families will be poliet to each other but that is about it because the family whose son was shot was told by their lawyer you can take it to court on a civil matter but you're ten to one going to loose because C (the guy that was shot) wasn't wearing orange, he was trespassing, and he KNEW it was hunting season.

What brought this all on?  REmember a few years back that Hmong person shot and killed 3 hunters for no reason at all in WI?  Well some dude shot a hmong person for no reason at all and then tried hidding the evidence.

Deep Question:  Could you objectively go out hunting again or what ever it was you where doing when something like this happened, and see someone that looks similar or is even the same culture as the person who killed before, and NOT retaliate?

For our friend C who was accidently shot by my Uncle,   can and has!  It's his parents who still hold the grudge and C was an adult when it happened in the first place!  C and B were highschool friends even though they didn't hang out.  C has no problem hunting with B and J.  And let me tell ya both my cousins with different hair colors, one light brown to blonde and the other with dark brown to black look just like my Uncle!  Bult like him also.

Personally I don't think a lot of people can.  I ask myself that question and I don't know if I can or not look at someone objectively if they are similar in apperance, behavor, and talk to someone who shot at me or one of my family memebers.  I am hoping I never have to find out.  Come one who would want to shoot me..........no comments from the peanut gallery!:P
