Al-Sadr may restart full-scale fight against US in Iraq

Well so much for the Sadar family dealing Muqtada al-Sadr privately as a family matter. Al-Sadr apparently is gaining confidence from rogue Iran that wishes to carve out a Middle Eastern hegemonic power base in the Middle East.

The Yahoo News source I just read implied al-Sadr is prepared to engage the U.S. military on a full scale basis in order to carve out his own Iraqi mini-state. Let’s see, what that State be called? Perhaps it would be called the Mahdi Republic or perhaps al-Sadr would just proclaim al-Sadr’s fiefdom a new part of the Shi’ite Islamofascist Republic of Iran.

Hello, its another play for oil power in the Middle East. It is somewhat like Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait to usurp oil for more money to rebuild Iraq after Iraq-Iran War ceased.

This could be another move on the chess board of war preparations between Iran and America: Patraeus was elevated to CentCom Commander so Iran elicits pressure from client terrorist al-Sadr.

Iran, the Supplier of Sunni and Shi’ite Terrorists in the Middle East
Middle East map.jpg hosted for free by ImageShack

Shi’ite Iran and Wahhabi Sunni Taliban have been fierce enemies in the past, so much so that Iran did not complain when America invaded Afghanistan to topple the Taliban regime and it Stateless ally al-Qaeda.

Apparently the deep hatred Sunni and Shi’ites have had for centuries has transformed by mutual hatred of the United States. There have been major indicators that
Iran has been supplying weapons and supplies to the Taliban hiding in the Afghan mountains enabling them to be a continuous threat to the anti-Taliban government and American/coalition forces trying to secure Afghanistan.

So here is the picture: Iran says that
Israel will soon be wiped off the map; Iran trains and supplies terrorists Hamas (Sunnis in the Gaza), Islamic Jihad (Shi’ites in Gaza) and Hezbollah (Shi’ites in Lebanon); Iran has made mutual defense pacts with Syria and Sudan; Iran has trained and anti-American militant Shi’ites in Iraq; Iran as stated above is aiding the Taliban AND I would say it is a pretty good guess that NOW Iran is aiding al-Qaeda in some form or fashion. This is a bleak picture for Middle Eastern peace particularly as it affects the National Interests of America and Israel.

I must note that these Sunni/Shi’ite alliances are tenable. There mutual hatred could blow up into a division followed by unification due to a perceived American threat. It is quite complicated on who are enemies and friends at any given moment. The only thing that seems to be linear is both Wahhabi and Shi’ite schools of thought desiring a return to medieval harsh Sharia Law, it is only the interpretation that separates the sects and an American ideology of democratic Liberty and an American military presence that unites them.

The Mecca Accords and Israel

I have found a kind of scholarly version of the Mecca Accord. I provide it as an alternative to the DEBKAfile analysis I posted on February 11 at SlantRight.com. I still agree with DEBKAfile assessment that Saudi Arabia is re-asserting influence over the Palestinians via money and a mutual affinity of the Sunni Sect. The Saudis were beginning to view Shi’ite Iran as usurping Saudi preeminence.

The MEMRI analysis I am posting does not mention Iran specifically as does the DEBKAfile; however MEMRI does imply that the Saudis created Hamas as a counter to Iran client terrorist group Hezbollah.

I encourage all to take the time to read the MEMRI analysis. You will come away understanding that the Mecca Accord and the Saudi government will continue to remain hostile to the existence of a Jewish nation known as Israel.

Once you have that understanding, keep it in mind when you read praise from the Mainstream Media (MSM) and beaming congratulations on the efficacy of diplomacy over guns and military might. The Mecca Accord is merely a Mohammedan duplicitous move to end Israel’s existence.

It is becoming apparent a lot of people in the Middle East believe an attack of some sort is imminent upon Iran. Check this out!

Report: 3 Gulf states agree to IAF overflights en route to Iran

By Yoav Stern and Yossi Melman,
Haaretz Correspondents
Last update - 11:02 25/02/2007

Three Arab states in the Persian Gulf would be willing to allow the Israel Air force to enter their airspace in order to reach Iran in case of an attack on its nuclear facilities, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Siyasa reported on Sunday.

According to the report, a diplomat from one of the gulf states visiting Washington on Saturday said the three states, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, have told the United States that they would not object to Israel using their airspace, despite their fear of an Iranian response.

Al-Siyasa further reported that NATO leaders are urging Turkey to open its airspace for an Attack on Iran as well and to also open its airports and borders in case of a ground attack.

According to a British diplomat who spoke to an Al-Siyasa correspondent, Turkey will not repeat the mistake it made in 2003, when it refused to open its airspace to U.S. Air Force overflights en route to attacking Iraq.

British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday that Israel is negotiating with the U.S. over permission for an "
air corridor" over Iraq, should an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities become necessary.

Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh on Saturday denied the reports and said Israel has no such plans.

Atlas Shrugs
Pamela Geller

With the strike against Iranian nuclear facilities near, I want my readers to know that I will be providing unique, uncensored, real-time coverage of the conflict. I will be talking to the beseiged people of Israel and providing video links to and from Israel with commentary by real counter terrorism experts in the Jewish State. My reportage and that of
MNM will be free from jihad loving or left leaning western editorial slants. The real story......only I will leave the comments of thumbsucking "analysts," fat draft-dodgers, agenda driven pundits, and feckless politicians to CNN and FOX-News.

PLEASE prayers for our brave Israeli brothers and sisters who have stood alone against the scourge of Islamic terrorism for 58 years. Long live the People of Israel. (Inspired by
Michael)

Evidently Pamela has a lesser opinion of FOX News. I still like them.

Anyway, whether the Jewish news of Haaretz is true or false and the blogosphere is true or false; the mere talk of such an event should the Western World glued to some source of information. If Iran is attacked and Iran actually retaliates, it could be the beginning of the biggest global war since WWII. There are a lot of variables, let us see how they play out.

Do The Realists Offer a Viable Alternative?
A Burial at Ornans, Gustave Courbet 1849-50.jpg hosted for free by ImageShack

Reuel Marc Gerecht of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) has written an interesting essay. Gerecht’s premise is that the political “Realists” that are in both Parties really have little to offer as bargaining chips to entice Iran and Syria to help solve Iraq’s internal instability.

The “Realists” of the Republican Party apparently are led by the voice of former Secretary of State James A. Baker III. The Baker strategy is reminiscent of old fashioned American foreign policy. Feel out regional thugs, entice the thugs with American largesse. The thugs that do not tow the line are played the thugs that do tow the line.

The so-called “Realists” are living in the past if they believe this will work in the Middle East. The Middle East has become way too radicalized with hatred toward America.

The only bargaining chips that Iran would listen to are related to its nuclear ambitions. Even if Iran bargained, America cannot trust the word of Iran. Their inherent radical Mohammedanism is based on lying to the Kafir if it serves the purpose of furthering Mohammedanism.

Acquiescing on the nuclear issue will only slow down radical Mohammedanism in the Middle East. A nuclear armed Iran will lead to other Arab nations to arm with nuclear weapons. Why? The reason is ninety percent of the Middle East is Sunni, while Iran is a radical Shi’ite nation. The Shi’ites no matter how loud represent only ten percent of Mohammedans.

The Sunni Mohammedans would arm with WMD to counter Iran. Eventually the focus would return to Israel. Literally accomplishing what Iran has proclaimed the wiping of Israel off the map. There is no way no matter how sophisticated that little Israel could with stand a multiple nuclear assault.

The “Realists” are dreaming in delusion.

[* If the AEI link dies, I have cross posted Gerecht’s essay, “Bartering with Nothing,” at SlantRight.com. Gerecht’s essay is at the end of this essay.]
