My Life - Aware and Active

OK folks this is a serious thing - Factory farming -

this is something we should all be aware of. I don't particularly like animals, I don't have pets like cats and dogs etc but I don't mind eating animals, I'm carnivorous. I do mind it when they are treated badly. I've seen TV shows about abbatoires and I truly believe those people care about their work and do everything they can to be quick and painless. Farming methods are different. The methods used today in factory farming, can be quite barbaric and we just don't get the information about it. Here in Canberra, we're banning battery-cage chicken farming but there's more to do.

Our farming methods are becoming ever more like those in the U.S. because of the commercial element of farming. It's getting harder to make a buck as a farmer but they have to have limits, there must be a line we simply don't cross. There must be a line that says "we just don't do this to other creatures, no matter what."

Folks, the environment is important and we're trying to change our methods in order to help the place we live in. It's time we made the same effort to change the way the animals we depend on, live. Cruelty is never OK, keeping an animal confined in a space, too small to turn around in, is never OK. Keeping them away from sunlight is never OK and there are many more things we need to change.

(no subject)
So far, I am having a sitting day. A day where I don't want to do anything but sit. Lame.
But that will probably be remedied as soon as I down a few energy drinks and a pot o'cawfee. I'm gonna go pick Geneva up, ay goodbye to the Gays, and hype my day. Adios. Call me if you love me.

Incoming sheep!

Oh dear! People keep throwing "virtual" sheep at me on facebook. Kinda funny.

Last day of June today which means that tomorrow is July and July is the month that I celebrate my birthday.

Still single. Did get a message today that made me smile.

On the job front...
So the hunt for work had begun. As of yesterday i registered at centrelink and jobs-state wide so now i'm an official job seeker and im just lurking around for some good advertisements in the paper until i hear back from Jobs-statewide. A few pet shop jobs have come and go but i haven't felt too motivated to apply for them. Though in todays newspaper theres job offerings for a Flock Technician ( I ge the feeling its just a fancy way to say 'Sheppard') and a Sheep Production Technician. I'm really excited about this one, i thik it would be cool to work with sheep. And as a plus i get to live down there while i work so double bonus of moving out :3 Hooray.

I've already called them to get some info about applying, so fuck yeah, maybe, just maybe. I really freaking hope so.

I feel im experienced enough, at Tafe we went to a sheep ranch as a camp and did the tailing, ear tagging and injections for the lambs. And on top of that we did about 4 practical sessions on handling sheep and doing shearers throws, drenching, and giving colbat to them. As well on top of that they give on job training so anything forgotten with soon be refreshed in my memory. X3

I feel very good about this, lets just hope i don't get dissapointed.
