Y tu foto cuida

A alguien que dejaste

Perdida en el tiempo

Music full of tunes echoes in your home

Chimeras flow towards the sky

Where the clouds fight with each other

To bring the rain to the land of dreams

As your memories float in the

Morning dew

And the palm trees sway in the breeze

Your footsteps resound throughout your home

Telling me what to do

Guiding me through the path of life

Every moment I breathe

In the house

Where your picture looks

After the affairs

Of someone lost in time

Left on this earth after your departure

"beware -- it's hot!"

When seeing that note taped next to a bowl of homemade salsa, who wouldn't rise to the challenge?

I could smell the jalapeno even before I noted the seeds.  And it was hot. Ish.  Hot-ish.

Apparently, though, I'm supposed to wait for our lovely lady of the salsa to make one with her homegrown habaneros.  Now that's hot.

Frankly, I prefer my salsa hot.  If I can taste the tomato, there's something wrong.  This wasn't always so (although I've always hated tomatoes).  I think it comes from spending too much time with guys who are in a race to see who can burn out their tastebuds first, so I've acclimated.

I still refuse to eat jalapenos as is, though.

Unless, of course, they're mixed in cream cheese.

Salsa & Guacamole

A few days ago I really felt like making josiejunk 's salsa and guacamole recipes.  So I headed out to the grocery store and bought all the ingredients - except the chips, I forgot the chips.  Duh.

Yesterday I decided to make the salsa and guacamole (after buying some chips) and let it sit overnight so the flavors could really blend.  Today I had some of my fresh salsa and guacamole, but alas, it is not as good as Josie's.  I put a little too much garlic in the salsa (I could slay vampires with a whif of my breath) and the guacamole could have used more cilanto and lime juice.  But it couldn't have been that bad since I stuffed my face!  Nothing is as good as fresh salsa and guacamole! Muy Delicioso.

Feh.

Ehh... I don't care if anyone reads this, I'll take this as an online diary perhaps? I like the sound of that XD No one at my school knows about mindsay, so I think it'll be safeish.  Anyways, on with my life.

Today, I woke up so effing tired. As soon as I got out of bed, I tripped on my nightstand and fell on the floor, scaring Greta (my dog) who sleeps in my room. So then everything was normal, ate, got ready, went to school. And lo came first period, LA CLASE DE ESPANOL!!! XD. Except, I have this teacher named Senora Keller who is a crack addict. Okay, we aren't a 100% sure shes a crack addict, but her room smells like drugs and cigarettes.  And whenever she talks, she has a 5 minute coughing spazzem. Oh and the best is that probobly 20% of my class will die of second hand smoke, due to her walking by and being choked by the smoke fumes coming from her clothes.  Yeah, shes nice, I like her as a teacher, but I still think she could lay off the drugs for a class period maybe? Tommorow, our student teacher is coming to teach us how to TANGO//SALSA dance! I'm super excited :3. Especially considering that the guy that I'm always partnered with is in this class, and lets just say that I like this guy....a lot :PPPP. Hopefully the partnering continues.

Second period, Hon. English, was a BLAST! Our teacher, Mr. Wallings wasn't there today, and no sub showed up. So we had a so called, "Tweeter War", where everyone made tweeters and we shot them at all who entered the room, and each other.  This was 50 minutes of paper flinging, desk falling, rolling CIA style, HxC fun xD. And the best part is, a teacher never came buahahahahahha.

The rest of my day was normal, lunch, gym, home, and now homework -___- Not looking forward too, but I am looking forward to seeing our football team WIN STATE!! Cheaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

The stories behind the stories
Not long ago, as part of my ongoing short story anthology project (Collection of Curiosities) I wrote a story about a girl who was in love. When she was rejected, she went to a party where she got drunk/high, fell down the stairs, and got a concussion. Not to ruin it for you, but before long she got post-concussion syndrome and became so distraught that she killed herself.

When I wrote it, it seemed so melodramatic. Life sucks sometimes, sure, and maybe the symptoms of PCS seem a little irritating on paper, but could a headache and a little insomnia really stop you from living your life? I wondered, and shelved the story after it was done.

Then a few weeks ago I came home one night and had a huuuuge headache. Massive. I couldn't sleep, my head was thumping, I couldn't focus, etc, etc. I seriously wanted to end it. Suddenly I was living that same situation. Wooooo.

Haha, so yeah, it makes perfect sense to me now that she'd want to kill herself. Of course, the message of the narrator was that the girl was foolish, so maybe it's not such a good thing that I sympathize... haha, writer's dilemma.

Ah well. The story's not in good condition, but at least I know my stuff.

Keep on rockin'
