I don't think nothing can be as an American way as the way of the cowboy of the West. A traditional cowboy had/has a long drawn out day with little pay. He is worth gold. He gets up early tending to fencing, cattle, horses and more than we could ever imagine. His skills as an athlete could surpass those of any true athlete I know of today.
Remember in an earlier blog I shared some of my photos from the West? The West remains and will always be a part of my heart. Yes, I have a wonderful horse as a companion that I throw my English saddle on to ride my mount as a weekend pleasure rider. But, I wanted something more--I wanted a western saddle. So I went and purchased one. It is a lovely used top of the line quality saddle. When the weather lets up from the rain and cold we've been having, and we can finally get past some of these holidays---I'm off to blaze a few trails of my own.
I'm just not sharing the saddle purchase with the husband but I am with you my friends at Mindsay. Hubby would think I'm really off my rocker. Whew - - it was hard to sneak this one around him.
How do you like this piece of leather --- what a nice ride I'm going to have in this one.
