Rush Limbaugh @ MindSay

Ignorant Despotic Fascists Back Home.

Back home in Tecumseh, Michigan; in Lenawee County I am know for being "different" and, therefore, dangerous.

I have been evicted from McDonald's, WalMart, Meijers, my alma martre Siena Heights University, from my polling place during the 2004 vote for attaching a small "American flag" to my sweatshirt that stated "Voting Is For Brave People". For the offense of pursuing my happiness these things happened to me.

Ya wanna see the videos.  I got 'em.  No falsification here.  I have them back in AUSPONA.

I have been openly surveiled by the Adrian Police Department for the offence of carrying a Kerry For President sign while walking my dog down Main street.

Further, two Lenawee County Sheriff patrol cruisers, yes two cruisers with lights flashing [no sirens, though] once pulled me over [got the video] and detained me to ask me why I staged a one-person picket line on public property to protest in front of a business because that business was proud to advertise on WABJ Radio where Rush Limbaugh was at the top of its' programing.

When I was allowed to resume my ligitimate right to pursue my happiness and freedom of speech and expression it was done with the assurance, from Deputy McCrate, that I had every right to do what I was doing.

I told him of my knowledge that I had that right and, if I did not say it I was surely thinking: What ta fuck are you stopping me for, why impede my pursuit of happiness being conducted in a lawful manner to tell me I had the right to do what I was doing? Why?

Back home, in my beloved Michigan in AUSPONA, I will most certainly be openly and aggressively called an ignorant and unpatriotic creep. So, my MINDSAY friends, I am looking to and counting on you to help me face the gauntlet I must and am willing to run.  The crucible of retrograde imbecilic Republicanism, of fascism in southern Michigan is really quite daunting and not, in fact, of just Republican political stripe.

Some of the hardest political fights I will face will be from the old-line Democrat leadership both local and statewide. I include both the Michigan senators, Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow as, in the least, Republican fascists enablers.

You have been and will continue to be some salve for some of my emotional wounds. The prime reason for my return to AUSPONA is to work actively and aggressively to see to the ligitimate inauguration of The Brave Sen. Barack Obama as its' next duly elected president.

Sincerely in pursuit of happiness and freedom from insane fudking retrograde tyranny of whatever political stripe,

Mr. David Tecumseh Schmidt, MSW '82 University of Michigan Tecumseh High School '59

From point A to point B
_____________________________________________________
    Date Line October 11, 2007

Life is curious.  Every thing is linear.  No matter how curved, bent,  or crooked, all things travel in a straight line from point A to point B.

There is the element of chance in everything, yet it generally changes nothing. At least, it changes nothing in the larger scheme of things.

Does it really matter what you do?  Does it matter how you vote?   Do any of your actions have real meaning?  Have your actions, desires or wants in any way altered the course of the universe?

Hunter-gatherer populations work sixteen hours a week to meet all their basic survival needs.  They have two or three children per family.  And they party a lot.  They sing, dance, tell communal stories – spin tales of magic and mystery in a way that allows belief without detracting from the social objective.

What do you do?  You work sixty hours a week, or you work less – maybe you work only 35 five hours, but travel to and from work for another fifteen.  Maybe you travel the fifteen and also work the sixty.

Is your life filled with community sharing?  Do you have time for those two kids?  Do you even have those kids?

If you are, as the expression goes, a “person of faith” – do you actually believe in anything?  Do you have a doctrine to follow or a way to behave which can be shared and followed by others?

Or do you assert what you know to be false and mask it in the idea that you are a “sinner”, but then add that we are all “sinners’ and so imply that it doesn’t really matter.  You recognize the “faith’ to be stupidity and meaningless – but it sounds good.

And anyway ... everyone knows the joke.

You travel from point A to point B by the most indirect of routes.  You have no compass, no straight edge, no means of ensuring your linear journey is by the most efficient and expeditious route.  The beauty of it – you are the same as everyone else.

You live in a perfect world; but fail to recognize it is perfectly imperfect.  You don’t understand that, no matter how you play it, you will get from point A to point B – birth to death.

The objective, the human, the life, imperative is to have life continue on its journey from its point A to its point B.  You failed to grasp that the importance of life is life.

On the simplest level, the most direct route is the medical creed – to do no harm.  It really does not matter what else you do.  If you do no harm you have followed the direct route.

If you create no life, you cannot harm that life – but you harm the ability of life to continue.

If you create life and keep it safe – you continue life by that small amount.  But life is imperfect, and chance will strive to change things – maybe for better, maybe for worse, but change things it shall.

The universe travels from its point A to its point B and doesn’t care a bit if you come along for the ride.  You can see you are onboard; but that is just for a bit.  You, like everything else, are transient.

The importance of your being is the here and now.  All that Fame, Fortune, and prestige stuff has very little significance.  It is a small imperfection on a the universal line from point A to point B – a blip.

Can you move the universe?  Can you shape it? Can you mold it to fit your design?  If so, do so.  If not, stop claiming that you can.

Oh sure.  You can throw a party.  You can destroy the room and leave the mess for someone else to clean.  The universe expects to clean up after your mess.  It expects to do it and will take, on its timescale, only a second or less – no matter how bid the mess is relative to your size.

But why make the mess?  Why destroy your life?  Why exit a journey  before you reach what could be your destination?  Is it because you are so evil, so inconsiderate, so whatever, that you would work top stop others from enjoying their journey from their point A to their point B?

Maybe it does it really matter what you do and how you vote?

FOOTNOTE: There was a minor stink about Rush Limbaugh saying there were “phoney soldiers” denouncing the war.  In another example of a stopped clock being more accurate than a working one – based on the number of times a day it gets the time exact – and as much of an idiot serving idiots as Limbaugh tends to be – he got this right.

More important, Liberal groups like Moveon.org have gone overboard in their efforts to out lie, out distort, and generally be more dishonest than the Right-wing conservatives and fundamentalists.

When we talk about making a mess, or about doing no harm, those big-mouths on both sides are clear examples of what not to do.  A liar is a liar, those who do not examine, or refuse to honestly report upon, the issues which threaten all of use with destruction are deemed to be equally culpable for the results.

In 2008, the GOP will doubtless blow the presidential election – it almost doesn’t matter who the Democrats nominate.  That it will be either a woman or a black will only allow us to obtain a clear count of the sexist racists among us.  It will not yield a president who represents the interests of America and the well-being of its people.

Americans want the end of America – they want the grand experiment to fail.  They want to suppress and torture and otherwise demean, humiliate, or destroy life on this planet – we see that in the reality of the American diet, and wasteful lifestyle.  That they want to take humanity with them is a given proven by the lairs and the fact that team of Bush-Cheney have not been impeached and imprisoned.

It will be proved when Bush-Cheney receive their multi-million dollar golden parachutes – as the rest of their team has.  It will be prove when the supply-side Right-wing passes the debits to those now entering the work force; debits to be paid by those who will see their jobs exported to former communist, or dictatorship, powers.

We have moved from point A to point B – from birth to death.

NPR Blurb

Did anyone else hear the dude call Rush Limbaugh "Pure Evil" today on AM radio?

Just curious.

Is it bad if I thought it was kinda funny, even if I did agree with Rush's bash on him?

Rush Limbaugh's 35 Undeniable Truths and Why I Don't Agree With (A Lot of) Them
It's not that I'm a "liberal" or a "democrat", it's just that I don't like political party extremists, like Ruch Limbaugh and Michael Moore.
Listening to him makes me angry. He looks at diversity as a disease. I don't like it.
----

My 35 Undeniable Truths--By Rush Limbaugh

All of these truths are of the same importance.
1. There is a distinct singular American culture - rugged individualism and self-reliance - which made America great. [I don't disagree with this one.]
2. The vast majority of the rich in this country did not inherit their wealth; they earned it. They are the country's achievers, producers, and job creators. [This has such a gospel of wealth attitude. yes, most of them did earn it, but just because you're poor does not mean that you aren't an achiever. Success isn't measured in riches.]
3. No nation has ever taxed itself into prosperity. [Hm, I don't know about this one. I like taxes. Taxes are necessary, good things.]
4. Evidence refutes liberalism. [No, evidence refutes political parties in general.]
5. There is no such thing as a New Democrat. [Why do you care?]
6. The Earth's eco-system is not fragile. [You're right, but it is because we're taking more than we need. It wouldn't be fragile, if we practiced conservation techniques.]
7. Character matters; leadership decends from character. [Okay, understandable.]
8. The most beautiful thing about a tree is what you do with it after you cut it down. [I HATE THIS ONE. This makes me unbelievably sad. Trees are one of the most beautiful of God's creations, and I don't think God would respect people heedlessly cutting them down for frivolous purposes. Yes, use what you need, but don't cut down trees for no freaking reason! It's selfish and disgusting. It's genocide.]
9. Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of the twentieth century. [I can't agree or refute this, because I don't know much about Reagan.]
10. The 1980s was not a decade of greed but a decade of prosperity; it was the longest period of peacetime growth in American history. [The 80's were alright.]
11. Abstinence prevents sexually transmitted disease and pregnancy -every time it's tried. [Agreed.]
12. Condoms only work during the school year. [I'm not sure I follow.]
13. Poverty is not the root ("rut") cause of crime. [Once again, agreed.]
14. There's a simple way to solve the crime problem: obey the law; punish those who do not. [Agree with this one too, but I am not in favor of the death sentence.]
15. If you commit a crime, you are guilty. [There are exceptions. What about a psychopath? They deserve to be somewhere where they cannot hurt others, but they are not guilty as I see it; it is not their fault that they are psychopaths.]
16. Women should not be allowed on juries where the accused is a stud. [Once again, this angers me. What a dumb stereotype. Women have minds and brains, not just hormones.]
17. The way to improve our schools is not more money, but the reintroduction of moral and spiritual values, as well as the four "R's": reading, 'riting, 'rithmatic, and Rush. [Actually, our school needs more money. Yay, taxes!]
18. I am not arrogant. [Yes, you are. You only respect those that are exactly like yourself.]
19. My first 35 Undeniable Truths are still undeniably true. [No, they are not.]
20. There is a God. [I agree.]
21. There is something wrong when critics say the problem with America is too much religion. [I don't agree; there is too much religion, not enough spirituality.]
22. Morality is not defined by individual choice. [What? Yes, it is. My morals are my business, not yours, with the exception of murder, and rape. They are illegal because they severely harm others, and need to be illegal. I can see how he's defending his point, but I don't agree with him.]
23. The only way liberals win national elections is by pretending they're not liberals. [No. They win by popular vote, and everyone knows that they are "liberal", and they still get voted in.]
24. Feminism was established as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society. [No, it was created because women couldn't vote, own property, or do anything other than vacuum and apply mascara.]
25. Follow the money. When somebody says, "It's not the money," it's always the money. [...I don't follow.]
26. Liberals attempt through judicial activism what they cannot win at the ballot box. [All political parties do.]
27. Using federal dollars as a measure, our cities have not been neglected, but poisoned with welfare dependency funds. [People need welfare! I understand that people abuse the system, but so many actually need it. I understand why he'd be angry at people abusing the system, and it makes me mad too, but there are those that need that money.]
28. Progress is not striving for economic justice or fairness, but economic growth. [It doesn't matter if people are equal, as long as people are getting richer? I'm not sure if I know exactly what he's saying.]
29. Liberals measure compassion by how many people are given welfare. Conservatives measure compassion by how many people no longer need it. [...I feel a little stupid for not understanding, but I don't.]
30. Compassion is no substitute for justice. [I hate this statement too. Justice is necessary, but compassion goes hand in hand with justice; justice is compassion. [Thus, no death penalties...]]
31. The culture war is between the winners and those who think they're losers who want to become winners. The losers think the only way they can become winners is by banding together all the losers and then empowering a leader of the losers to make things right for them. [Well, the "losers" of society deserve equality with the "winners". They are human, not worse than the "winners". Also, what defines a "loser"? No money, no power, no greed, no lack of morals? He needs to define "losers".]
32. The Los Angeles riots were not caused by the Rodney King verdict. The Los Angeles riots were caused by rioters. [I don't know the story, sorry.]
33. You could afford your house without your government - if it weren't for your government. [Hm..]
34. Words mean things. [Yes, but intuition, love, emotion, and spirituality mean more.]
35.Too many Americans can't laugh at themselves. [Everybody needs to laugh at themselves.]

Drugs are bad, mmkay.

Sometimes, I like to torture myself. I might do something painful like stab myself in the neck with a very sharp object. Today, I took it to the next level.

I'm flipping around the radio dial, and I'm going back and forth from a rock station to a sports talk station. Then, something in my brain snaps! I think hey, why don't I check out some neocon apologist radio? How about some Rush Limbaugh? Now, I didn't listen very long because there is only so much that a person like myself can take. Here are a few things that I heard...

It must have been a slow news day because he wasted a few minutes discussing Barack Obama's critical decision to support his Chicago Bears in the NFL playoffs. How dare he not support the New Orleans Saints! This must mean that he is a divider and not a uniter. Is this really a story? Like his hero, G.W. Bush, ever united anyone. To be fair, I guess he did unite the neocon warmongers. And speaking of football...

I have forgotten more about football than this guy will ever know. He wouldn't know football if Ray Lewis shoved one up his fat elitist ass! I have always wondered how many people he had to blow to ruin one of my favorite shows on ESPN. What qualified him to be an NFL analyst? I guess he might have a little background in sports. I know he used to do some work for my Kansas City Royals. Talk about bad karma! The Royals have been the laughingstock of MLB for about the last two decades. Thanks a lot, Asshole!

Later on, I heard some nutjob caller talking about how Sen. Obama hasn't done anything in politics or that he doesn't have experience. Rush went on to point out some other liberals, who want to lose in Iraq, that have no experience. Apparently, these senators have no business running for president since they have no experience. Again, no mention of our current president's qualifications(or lack thereof).

He also mentioned Sen. Clinton's photo op with some troops. Again, how many times has the current president used the troops for photo ops? Or cannon fodder?

I heard him talk about hypocrisy and phoniness. Can anyone say the pot calling the kettle black?

I heard him call himself the role model for the youth of America. What?! I thought I was the last remaining role model for the youth of America. If what he said is true then we might as well close up shop right now. I think he meant to say that he is the role model for the fruit of America.

Now, I didn't hear him actually say anything about the feminization of America, but I have heard it through the grapevine that he has mentioned it lately. I totally agree with him here.

America has become wussified. Like George Carlin once said, "The continued pussification." I have heard a lot of opinions lately about the war in Iraq. I have heard a lot of people call for more war and more violence. See, the problem with the war in Iraq is that we aren't using enough force. This is according to some sick individuals who like to call in to the local "conservative" radio station in Corpus Christi.

We need to send more troops!

or

We need to blow them all up!

I love it when people have to prove their manliness by calling in to a radio station and accuse others of having a weak stomach for war. You know, because they are putting it all on the line...by using the phone!

Memo to limp dick cowards:

You want more war? Then go fight it. I don't want to hear any pansy excuses like, "Well, I'm 55 years old." "I'm physically unable." Put your money where your mouth is, you big pussies.

Glenn Beck wants Muslims to prove that they aren't terrorists. Well, I want warmongers and instigators like Mr. Beck to prove that he isn't a coward. While I'm holding my breath, I'll be wondering what he had to do get his own TV show.
