In the train from Tilburg to Roosendaal

Like you all probarly know I travell by train to school. Sometimes there are delays, sometimes not. But so far so happy. And always you see different people. Strange really. Cause you would expect that people all take the same train. Well, not always. You see all kind of people there.

I once saw a guy who had a very very big box with him. And he sat like two chairs futher then me. Then you heard all the bird singing. And what is it? In that box that guy had little birds. I was really suprised. I believe he needed to be Vlissingen. So for him that was after Roosendaal another hour or so. I also once expierenced that I was talking to a classmate of me. She got of in Breda. We had been talking about her broken MP3-player. Cause I had one, she showed me how to wear it around my neck. I am pretty happy about that, cause I use it now. My MP3-player is my tool to stay awake in the train. But anyways. We were talking about that. She got out. And then suddenly a guy began to talk to me. What was it? He worked for a multinational in electronics. He knew all about that kinda stuff. About waranty's etc. I was really suprised he even talked to me. And then about that. But like that guy with the birds, he didn't need to be in Roosendaal. No, he even hasn't been in Vlissingen that day. He needed to go to Paris. So, I guess he was there at the evening.

Also that same train was responsible for my entry "Panic", about that I lost my wallet. Yes, everytime I travell by station Gilze-Rijen now I am really thinking back at that day. And always, before getting in to the train I feel if I have my wallet. And well ofcourse now I always have it with me. Same reason why Roosendaal has my attention now. Just before I got on to the train to Tilburg for my school that day, I found out I lost my keys somewhere. I was totally paniced (..again). And I first drove the entire road between the place I last had them and the place I was then (station Roosendaal). Nowhere to be found. So in tears (of the panic) I phoned my mum. And she told me to go to the police and she would come there. Still when I arrived at the police I was totally paniced. So when my mum got there, we went in. And wented to reported my missing keys.

"How do they look?"

"Erm..with a silver mouse caring a P"

At that moment I looked a bit besides the woman behind the counter and there they were. I totally got excited

"Are this them?"

"Yes!!"

So, that's why I always check my pockets for my keys and wallet before getting on the train to either Tilburg or Roosendaal.

But you also encounter all kinds of weird people in the train. I told you about bird-man and the electronicsguy. Well there are more. The most annoying are foreign people. Don't understand me wrong. This isn't a rastic thing. But they pick up the phone more loud then anyone and then go talk in there own language. That's annoying. Very annoying. Can you imagine sitting in a train and all you can hear is talking that foreign language. Ofcourse I think you should be allowed to phone, but do it silent please. Also once that same friend with the MP3-player, she also got a sort of a bible from someone. She was sitting next to a guy. And suddenly he began to talk about how good her beliefs (in the church were) and that kinda stuff. And when he got out, he gave her a mini-bible. She was really suprised by that. I think it now burns in her fire-places or is laying beneath an unstable chair. Talking about books. The train is perfect to read in. A newspaper, a book. I once even read an entire book between two places. Not Tilburg and Roosendaal, but 's Hertogenbosch and Roosendaal. I believe it's a ride around 1 hour and 30 minutes. But I actually finished it in that time. I was pretty suprised about that. And you see a lot of people read and sometimes people even ask: "What are you reading?". And then you are stunned about it, you look up. And people say: "Oh, I already see". Most populair book? I don't know really. Most populair writer? Ha, I know that one. Dan Brown. Really strange. But 7 out of the 10 people you see with a book are reading one from Dan Brown. And not only "The DaVinci Code". Anyways back to strange people. Like I said with those books, all kind of books. Dan Brown, some girl named Jill Mansell (is that correct), I once enough saw a Russian book. Magazines. From sportingmagazines till opinionmagazines. But most populair in the train is puzzling and the free newspapers "Metro" and "Spits". Entire piles of Metro and Spits are lying in the trains. And do you know? People put sandwhiches, chewing gums etc between them. That's like really...ewwy.

Now from ewwy to even more ewwy. This happened to me yesterday. I was alone this time. Normally I have people travelling with me. But they had to be at school at another time. So I was travelling back from Tilburg to Roosendaal. And there I was...shocked. There was sitting a guy there, with his hand down his pants. And no, not like Al Bundy. More like...sexual down his pants. He was...mastrubating. Yes, indeed. I was totally shocked about it. And I immediatly looked the other way. I pulled out a writing block from my backpack and began to write total nosense. I draw a duck, a table with chairs. The symbol of a supermarket, the symbol Opel and the symbol of the public transportation company. As long as I didn't have to look at that guy. The problem was he also needed to go untill Roosendaal. I never ever looked outside the train that long. Never. And I never saw such total nonsense on my writersblock. Then he also got out at Roosendaal. He went luckly a different direction then me. I really had to control myself to not say: "And satisified?".

In the Metro you always read about people who complain about other people who are listening to loud music or who are talking loud on the phone. But I can ensure those people nothing...really nothing is worse then what I saw. And I wouldn't wish anyone else to see it. Next time I just go and see if there is no guy sitting somewhere alone, where I sit and only then I go sit.

Wallet? Check

Keys? Check

MP3-Player? Check

Book? Check

No guy mastrubating? Check. Double check.

Live @ fontys
Update from school...why? Because I have a busy day today and now I have two hours off. It's pretty boring ofcourse nothing to do..only my weblog to update. I didn't even took my laptop to school today. Why? Because like I said I have a busy day today. I woke up at 6.30AM today, I voted for the politicis in our community and then went to school. I followed a lesson about making headlines and now two hours off. And then? Then the real heavy stuff begins. After that we got a introduction we should go to a voting agency and interview people there, make small pieces and stuff like that. At 4.30PM we need to present then at the other students. But then the day isn't over. No, we still have to go to Weert. Yes, Weert. It's far away from were I orginally live so it's a pretty long trip. But we are finished around 5.15PM but we need to be in Weert at 8PM. So we have to haste ourselves to eat, then we need to go to Weert. And around 9PM the voting agency closes and they can go can count the votes. The results are expected in around 9.30PM. The evening last till 10PM and then back home. The journey takes 2 hours. So I am in Roosendaal at 12AM. But then it still isn't finished. No, well not that's very tired making what I am gonna do after that. I need to catch a cab, cause the place were my bike is standing is closed then. The biggest problem about the cab is that it costs 4 euro 15. Don't they ride for free:P? Anyways, I have had a worse day two weeks ago. Also on a tuesday. Then I also went to Weert for an interview with Paul Lempens, he's the leading man for the SP (a socialstic political party) in Weert. I was pretty nervous then. But in the evening I need to go to Weert for a discussion evening. Eventually I was home at 1AM then, while I woke up that day at 6AM. I was just glad I had the next day off. But about today? I don't have off tommorow. No, they expect me to be at school at 9.30AM again. So it's wakey wake again at either 6AM or 6.30AM. With these days I feel a bit like Jack Bauer, only without the shooting, the kidnappings, the president etc. People, welcome to the 2nd longest day of my life.

Rain, hail and snow
When I ride it away from home today I hadn't an idea what the weather was going to do to me today. But I saw the gray clouds at the horizon. But I knew it could be snow. Cause last days the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France are suffering from heavy snow-weather. Even the people on ski-vacation were stuck in the traffic. There were stories of people who did drove 200 km in 6 hours. At my school someone was even still stuck in traffic. It's still going on. But good my situation. I ride away today on my bike. And well what I said the sky was gray, but I was not really worring. I could handle snow. Yes, snow I could handle. But when I came in Roosendaal, it began to rain! And I hadn't a raincoat with me. So I got really wet. Then suddenly it began to hail. Well, snow is the best, rain sux. But hail. Hail is the worst typ of weather to be in. Those little icethingies hit you all over your body and it hurts. I might say my ears aren't the smallest. And so it hurts to when they hit there. And just when I tought that was it, it began to snow. When I finnaly reached the station is was white from the snow. And a few minutes later the sun was shining. So it was really strange weather today. The best way to prove that is a car. When I was at school it began to snow again. And outside you could see a blue car. During that snowstorm it became white. Suddenly it stopped snowing and 2 minutes later the car was blue again. Since then it snowed two times. And the snow dissappeared as soon as it came. According to the weathermen it's gonna be no more weather like this..but well, are they always right?

Panic

I had the most exciting minutes of my life and also the longest minutes of my life. So what did happen? Well we had the so called masterclasses today at school. They were really cool. One from a newsreporter from RTL and one from a thriller-writer. But it became very late. It was around 5PM when I finally got the bus to the station and then the train to Roosendaal. Well, I was easily reading my book from Stephen King in the train. And then...I noticed something. I felt in my coat, in my pants. I missed something. I looked in my backpack, again in my coat and again in my pants. And it was not there...I missed my wallet. I was terribly shocked. I was immediatly in panic. But somehow I kept my head clear. Cause I hoped if it dropped someone would have delivered it to the NS (the Dutch transportcompany). I hoped someone would be that honest. So I kept my head clear and went out on the station Gilze-Rijen. It was 18:55. I had to wait till 18:58 untill the train from Roosendaal went to Tilburg was there. Those three minutes were the longest of my life untill now. Also the normal travel towards Tilburg is very short. But now it lasted very long. I was totally into panic. As soon as the train arrived at Tilburg I ran towards the desk of the NS. I was out of breath, I totally was confused. But I asked if they had found a wallet. And they did! After checking my name, birthday and place of birth I got it back. My god what was I glad. And god what was I glad someone had brought it there. I checked like a thousand times during the travell from Tilburg to Roosendaal that why wallet was in my pocket. During passing of the station of Gilze-Rijen, I really tought. What a difference now. The last time I totally was paniced. And now..now I have it back. I took out my book from Stephen King and began to read. The panic attack was over.

Snow

Yesterday and today the traffic is controlled by snow here in the Netherlands. Yesterday (Friday) there was the longest traffic jam ever. The traffic services called it 'traffic infarct'. Some people even were in a jam from the morning till the evening. And some trains didn't even ride. I use the train from Roosendaal till Tilburg West and vice versa. But yesterday evening the trains in Tilburg stopped to ride. And I am glad I was at home then. Cause else I would be stuck in Tilburg as well. And then I need to sleep at the municipality house, but well I didn't have too. Our little dog. You remember him? Bartje? Well he had loads of fun in the snow. Together with other dog, Joop. They played in it. Today I needed to go to work. And altough it wasn't snowing, non of the snow did go away. I expected to be less busy, but instead it was very busy. :(. And even then it was no fun working today. It was really a big chaos. I won't tell the exact details, but it was really annoying. I hope it stops snowing tough. In the east of the Netherlands it's already snowing and maybe it comes to us. But snow would be bad and dangerous. Except beside our dogs in the snow, there is no fun from snow. Well it's fun to do some fun stuff with it. But beside that it's bad. And dangerous. And the snow needs to be gone before Monday, else I have trouble with going to school ;).
