Rock On @ MindSay
The first man had married a woman from Indiana and had told her that she was going to do dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house and dishes washed and put away.
The second man had married a woman from Tennessee. He had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day he saw it was better.
By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.
The third man had married a girl from Kentucky He told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn, mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, enough to fix himself a bite to eat and load the dishwasher.
Gotta Love Kentucky Women!!!!!
Im going to be bouncing all over the timeline issue here but oh well! ;)

In the time before I knew Thefatcouple up close and personal I had nothing much to do. Here I am waiting and playing with a young bird before I was jumping and going manic.

It didnt last long. That is when I saw Fluffycatcake & Thefatcouple. Excited was an understatement.

After getting lunch we decided to explore the Henry Ford Museum as we got to know each other better.

One of the first vehichles we saw was the Kennedy Limo. Here is some info about the Kennedy Limo and the alterations done after the assassination.

The museum was HUGE! Here are two full sized trains that are just a small part of it.

Here is a Tucker car. What an amazing story behind Tucker and his vehichles. Some very informative information on Tucker

Side view of the same car.

I suppose this picture speaks for itself.

How amazing to be able to touch history! This is the Rosa Parks Bus or at least they believe it to be. I think that isnt what matters... its what it represents!

Some of the architecture on some gears & wheel.

Inside one of the first campers.

Speaking of firsts... Here is the serial number 1 of the Ford Mustang! I took a picture of the mileage. Looks like 10miles.

This was a wheel off an old fire truck.

Tucked inside the building was an old diner car! They had the prices listed and a woman working behind the counter. She told of the history and what was common around that time.

Aparently you could order one of these and it came with everything!!

Lincoln's infamous chair.
Looking at the time we realized if we were going to go to Greenfield Village we had to leave the museum. Luckily we hit most of everything and it saves more for another visit.
Tomorrow pictures from Greenfield Village!!
If I just left the title up there and posted only the video and lyrics, none of you would understand why the hell I am dedicating this song to him. So please allow me to thoroughly explain myself, which actually won't take very long.
This song came out somewhere during the summer of '99, maybe even late spring. In any case, that summer was the summer right after I graduated from 8th grade; the summer right before I started high school. I remember I had this song on tape (this was back before I got into CD's), and I would listen to it over and over again while I was swinging on the rope swing in my Grandma's backyard. At the time, I didn't quite understand the meaning of the lyrics, but I loved the song because I could just rock out to it. All summer, I was either at my Grandma's or at my house, and I would jam to that song (along with others, but that one was a must-have in my playlist).
Years later, I still love this song. Every time I hear it, it brings back memories of a carefree summer, of my last great playdays before entering the big world of high school (which isn't all that big looking back on it, but you get the idea). So, to me, this song represents fun, summer, being carefree, living life to the fullest, freedom, carpe diem, all that good stuff. I know the lyrics don't have a thing to do with that, but that's not important. What's important are the memories I have attached to this particular song.
Tonight, my cousin Tyler is graduating from the 8th grade. I was in the bathroom just now with the radio on, getting ready for the ceremony and all that. I had just finished washing my hair when this song came on the radio. I was like, "Hell yeah!!" And then it hit me what a perfect coincidence it was that this song would play on this day of all days. So I rushed to my computer, looked up the lyrics as well as the video, and decided to make this very special post in honor of my cousin Tyler's graduation from 8th grade.
Tyler, may this summer be as awesome for you as the summer of '99 was for me. Seize the day, buddy. Live life to the fullest. But most importantly...
Rock on.
"My Own Worst Enemy"
Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk
I didn't mean to call you that
I can't remember what was said or what you threw at me
Please tell me...
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard,
And I'm sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
And you're gone
Gone
It's no suprise to me I am my own worst enemy
'Cause every now and then I kick the living shit out of me
The smoke alarm is going off,
And there's a cigarette still burning...
Please tell me why my car is in the front yard
And I'm sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
And you're gone
Gone
Please tell me why my car is in the front yard
And I'm sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night...
It's no suprise to me I am my own worst enemy
'Cause every now and then I kick the living shit out of me
Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk
I didn't mean to call you that

Hey kids, rock and roll. Rock on, ooh, my soul.
Hey you, doobie-do, Did ya?
Hey, shout, summer time blues,
Jump up and down in your blue swede shoes.
Hey kids, rock and roll, Rock on!
And where do we go from here?
Which is the path that's clear?
Still lookin for my blue jean baby queen
Prettiest girl I'd ever seen.
See her shake on the movie screen,
Jimmy dean! (James Dean)
((Funky electric violin solo))
And where do we go from here?
Which is the path that's clear?
Still lookin for my blue jean baby queen,
Prettiest girl I'd ever seen.
See her shake on the movie screen,
Jimmy Dean! Jimmy Dean! Rock on!
((Million repeats of "Hey kids, rock and roll, rock on!")0
