Riverdance @ MindSay
Ok so now it is monday and we are supposed to be starting testing of our new product line. I came in @ 7 this morning and dutifilly started setting up my stuff, connecting it all up just so only to find out that not all the bugs have been worked out and that I'm not supposed to do anything more for right now... This is fine by me for the first little while of course. Anyone that wants to pay me the $ that I'm making for standing around doing nothing, I'm not going to complain. Here it is 5 hrs later tho and I'm getting rather bored. I have chosen not to take a lunch for the main reason that if I do I shouldn't leave until 4pm and I'd much rather leave @ 3pm so I can be home that much sooner and be able to spend time with my family. The other work related news that I have is that for the next month or so they are offering OT. Again not something that I really can or will complain about. If they are going to shell out 22-23 dollars an hour for me to do this crap then I'm all for an extra 4-10 hours a week. Make for some nice paychecks and get some of the back bills paid off. You know the ones...the gas bill with the leftover from winter, the cell phone bill from the weekend in Canada that added up remarkably quickly even for me, the other odds and ends that accumulate when you don't work for a month to a month and 1/2 in winter time....
Home life is good. I have my son this week and so we get to be a whole family for a while. Rose and I are still enjoying each others company and have just dropped into the whole domestic thing like we have already done this a lifetime or two (inside joke for those of you who know us) and the boys are acting more like brothers every day. I am actually happy again and so is she... Another interesting fact is that even though I am the one with cats @ my house it is when he spends any amount of time @ his fathers house that he needs his asthma treatments. He has needed a total of one @ my house in like the past month and he can't go a weekend with Dad without one? Strange.....
My other news is that I went and saw Riverdance last night. I had bought the tickets a while ago for myself, my sister, and my mom and stepdad. So the 4 of us went and had a great time. This has been the 4th or 5th time I have seen it, the 3rd for my mom and the first for Jolene and Frank. It wasn't the best I have ever seen but far from the worst. I wasn't aware of the fact that Rose has never been to a show so I feel kinda bad about not being able to take her with me. However I did see while I was there that later this summer Beauty and the Beast and Rent are coming so I will have to be sure to get tickets to both of those for us as well as next spring Spamalot (Monty Python) will be coming so I will have to get tickets for that as well for us. I really enjoy going to shows, what can I say.
Other than that Amy and Mani are out of town this week so we have no one to go to the park with us, which in its own way is tough because it's nice to have other adults to converse with and the kids all play well together.
Don't really know what else to write as of this moment so I think I will sign off for a while until something else occours that is worth expending the calories to move my fingers and share with the world.
