last night at around 1 am, I had to get gas, and I decided to take the targa off and have some fun with my car, it's relaxing to drive around at night with the wind caressing your hair, but, at the end of my cruise, in fact, at the place where I turn left to go down a hill to the apartment, my car starts POURING smoke from under the hood!
I actually thought it was on fire, so I turned off the car immediately, turned on my hazards, and got the fzck away from my car! It smelled of maple syrup, which means it was probably coolant, but I wasn't taking chances with that much smoke! Upon getting away from my car, I immediately dialed for Cal, and he and his mechanic friend arrived in less than 5 minutes, thanks to his friends extremely quick Mustang.
They opened the hood after it stopped pouring smoke, and also guessed it was a coolant line, it had actually sprayed on the underside of the hood! Also it had leaked enough to where it was sizzling on my exhaust, which was causing the smoke show. But they found the break in the line, and found that I had NO coolant in my car to get it home, so I turned when the signal came, went about 50 feet, and my car immediately went to red line on the temp gauge! I turned it off immediately, and waved my hands (they were following me) and I put my car in neutral, and Cal's friend got out, gave my car a big push, and grabbed a hold of the wing on the back, and rode my car down the hill, and pushed it into the apartment parking lot.
After that, I went into the apartment, and they went out to watch the "races", like I said, nobody races -.-, but apparently, about a minute before they got to the spot, cops had started to fill in around the "racers" and they all got arrested. If I hadn't been out cruising, and my car wouldn't have overheated, they both would have gotten arrested.
Everything happens for a reason. :O
That and my car is okay today too! Went and got a new line, a nicer, more expensive one, and got some coolant, had Cal do it, and my car is fine, no knocking or signs that the short overheat had done anything bad to the motor :D It runs! :D
