I've noticed that sadness has a friend. When a creeping, weeks long sadness first sets in, it brings a partner in tow. Hi, I'm Sadness, meet my friend Grief. Oh, it's nice to meet you Grief, wait a sec, haven't we met before? Usually when a person experiences grief it's through an expression of loss. It's markedly different from sadness, but they belong to the same family. Grief is more empty and nervous system stopping. But there is a less potent grief and it happens to be a close friend of sadness. A sort of residual grief. It's a... hey remember me from when your relative died two years ago kind of grief. Sadness from the present brings grief from the past. FUCK
Sadness with a tinge of grief. I'm going to have a relationship with this sadness. A healthy relationship. The kind of relationship that makes your life better. I've been waiting a long time to meet this sadness. This is the right sadness. The sadness with a purpose. I'm not going to use it and it's not going to use me. It is old and wise, perfected through countless generations. I am going to lean on it. I am going to learn from it. I am going to grow from it. Nice to meet you Sadness.

Will it be my Album of 2006 though? I'm not quite sure yet. It's definately the best Muse album thus far, but whether I'll look back on it in December and say that it's the best album 2006 brought us, I don't know. I mean, we've had Stadium Arcadium (Red Hot Chili Peppers) this year, which is very good, and there's future releases by Razorlight, The Killers (hopefully), Stone Sour, Incubus, Evanescece (I'm just expecting this to be good, not great), Story One (I've got high hopes on this being brill), and the small matter that Guns N' Roses might (and there is an awful lot of emphasis on might) be releasing Chinese Democracy in November, amongst any others that might get announced/released that I can't think of just yet.
At the moment though, it's there. Black Holes And Revelations = Album of 2006. Then again, I am a massive Muse fan. Roll on the UK Tour!!!..actually, roll on the UK tour dates!!

Worst album of 2006? I'm highly tempted to say Arctic Monkeys' Whatever You Say I Am, That's What I'm Not. It's just so diabolically repetitive, it's unforgivable. I might listen to it one day and love it all over again, as I did when I first bought it, or I might just remember that, in the end, it's just not all that impressive, and probably isn't worth all the hype it got given.

man mxpx is awesome. i just started listening to them. i love that song, Barbie Girl, because when I was younger and my swimpool had all nighter parties they'd line dance to that song- the original version, and i hated it because I thought it was the most annoying ditzy sounding song ever- but the mxpx version is awesome lol.
I just got another rhcp cd-mothers milk. they are an awesome band, and they dont have that incredibly dirty language either. I mean they drop the F bomb sometimes, but what band doesnt lol. They're alot nicer than say, the offspring. I'm learning by the way on the piano-actually ive technically learned it already its really easy.
Man i'm so glad spring break is over! my mom thought that i had spring break already, because I went skiing one day last week. man im not even good at skiing. i fell like 50 times. But anyways, i had to do school all week! and yes i am homeschooled. THAT DOES NOT MEAN IM SHELTERED!!!! of course there are incredibly sheltered homeschoolers that i know, but most are not like that. we're just sterotyped. typically we're less sheltered though, because when we're at home by ourselves we can watch whatever we want on tv lol.
