Retrospect of the threesome

Three young men’s lives crossed paths that bonded them in friendship for a short enterable. It got wild and woolly as these young Airman broke the bonds of their middle class upbringing.

Roger was in his late teens Ron and Russ had spent a hitch in different branches of the service and were in their early twenties, all had screwed up in civilian life. The Air Force felt like home to us, work hard, play hard and travel.

By some luck of the draw, we all hit Clark Air Force Base at the same time and drew assignments to the bomb dump. We had a likening for beer, whiskey, and women and it was between wars. That did not take long to change, so until it hit the fan it was hell bent for leather for us.

There was this bar called the Combo, a dank dark smelly place, it had cheap liquor and women. It was the hang out for the whole crew from the bomb dump; this was a good deal for us, if the other out fits left us in peace.

The night that got me in trouble, these knuckle draggers from the tire repair shop tried to horn in on our women. They were some big S.O.B. and had little regard for our objection to their uncouth behavior. Yours truly had a skin full, felt no pain and I had left my brains back upon the base. I ask them to get there tail out of the bomb dumps bar, they laughed, I went back to my table picked up my chair hit the biggest one over his head. Dam he just shook his head wiped away the blood and sent me flying over the bar. That little flight cost me eleven stitches in my head and sixty days restriction. Roger had a busted hand, Russ a cut over his right eye and they got thirty days restriction.  It took a long time to reclaim our bar, those knuckle draggers were one tough bunch. From then on, our First Sergeant had every dirty detail that came up for the yard bird threesome.

The threesome

Ron got married, made a career out of the Air Force, Roger got out of the Air Forces went to prison for making illegal Whiskey, Russ did not make it out of Vietnam.
