The shit has already hit the fan
and it ain't even 10 o'clock yet.
Wait.
Now it is.
But that's besides the point.
One of the physicians I work for
Made me an offer that I could not refuse...
It's a Clinical Reseach Coordinator position
With a pay grade of 10
My current pay grade is 7
and I'll be an exempt/professional
and I'll get a full hour for lunch, not 30 minutes
I'll have an 8% match for my retirement fund
I'll have 120 vacation hours every fiscal year
Did I mention I'd be making waaaaaaay more $$$$?
So, I thought, thought, thought, and thought
I was stressing over how to tell my supervisor
So I talked to our Department HR person
She was excited and said I was a shoe in
for Hater of the Year Award...LOL
I'm kidding...
The position requires a degree
in just about anything
She said since I graduated in June,
HR would probably look past that
and leave it up to the physicians
who offered me the job in the first place
Red Tape is a bitch, ain't it??
Anywho, she suggested I say something now
Even though it isn't certain.
So I gave her a heads up
and told her that I applied for the position
but before I could finish my sentence
she shouted, "You're leaving, aren't you!"
I told her not yet, I just applied today.
She's all: "You're gonna get the job..."
I let her know that nothing was for certain.
And she shouldn't sweat it until HR calls her
I've been in the same position for 3 years
She hoards responsibility, which makes me feel incompetent
and irresponsible. I am, but that's besides the point
Dude, I'm SO good when I apply myself-LOL
SO I can expect the 3rd degree until I leave,
IF I leave..
It's not really a "leave", though.
I'll be in the same department
Just a different cubicle...
I figure if they're gonna separate me from my office mate,
I may as well bounce.
We saw the plans for the new office.
My current super has my cube right outside her office :|
HELLLLLLLLLL to the nizzaw!!!
This is where I say GUD DEY, son!!!
Peace.
