Resident Evil 4 @ MindSay
I happily haven't been able to attend my blog, due to the fact I've been busy... having fun! XD Yay! I went and saw "Over the hedge" yesterday night, and also got myself two of the Resident evil 4 collector figures for my shelf. They live quite nicely next to my 9 inch Nemesis, so thats all good and cool. I'll provide pictures below as well, so people can see what they look like. Very nifty.
On other topics: My dreams have settled for now. In due time, I'll have another 'flare up', and they'll come back. So far, it's been quiet this week. I had one with Leon from RE4, where he was just yacking with Ashley after the game ended and they were back in Washington.. but.. that was really boring and nothing good happened. I think its just from playing the game too much for hours on end. lol. Happens a lot to me. Did that a bunch when I played FFX and FF8 as well... You dun' wanna know what happened in those. o_- I have a sick mind...
Anyway, I never got far with Resident Evil, mostly because I *hated* the controls. If you want to turn right you've got to turn left with the joystick? WTF! My brain could not, would not compute that, so I would always get killed studpidly!! Argh.
So I started Resident Evil 4 this morning. Awesome game so far! Much easier to control Leon than it was controlling Chris or Jill. Hmmmph....but the game is so hardcore I'm having trouble playing it for long stretchs of time. The wimp in me is crying Heeeeelp! Can't do this anymore every half an hour LOL
I'm such a girl...
Ahhhhhhhhh! Dude! Christmas has been sweet, and it's not even til tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! It's freaking awesome. Well yesterday, I started off my day by going to school, which was a lot less fun than it may sound... Really. But I survived the school day, and around 3:00, Jake and I went to the mall... I'm still recuperating. Let's put it this way... If you thought that the Nittany Mall was hell before, try going the day before Christmas Eve. It was mall hell! Mall hell! Ahhh! But yeah, so I went to get gifts for my friends Chris and Angelique, because I'm out of money til tomorrow. I know them better than they think I do, hehehe... Well I know that Angelique is uber obsessed with carebears, Chris likes The Boondock Saints and has hatchet man (ICP) tattooed on his leg, loves Iron Maiden, and has a thing for skulls. Jake told me that Chris was planning on sewing patches on to one of his jackets, soooooo I got him patches. I got his lovely, and awesomely entertaining and lovable girlfriend, Angelique, a poster of Grumpy Bear , a sticker of Grumpy Bear, and a wristband with Stewie from Family Guy on it that says "YOU IMBECILE!". The Grumpy Bear stuff looks like Tim Burton designed it, but it's really cool. I figured that Chris has enough posters on the walls of their apartment, so Angelique needed one. She really liked it, but unfortunately, when I dropped off the gifts, Chris wasn't there, so I only got to see Angelique's reactions, but she was really happy. I was on the phone with Angelique when Chris got home, he opened the presents and I swear I never thought I'd ever hear him say this "Fuck yeah!" I got a 'fuck yeah' from Chris, and then I got a supersweet "Thaaaaaaaaank you Jess!" and it was cool. I knew they'd like them. So that was a really awesome part of my day.
I dunno why, but I have like tons of Christmas spirit this year. It like... Feels really good to give stuff away rather than get stuff, I mean, I like getting stuff, but all the money I've had since like two weeks ago went to presents, literally. And most of it was Christmas money. I spent the 20 dollar gift card to Best Buy on Jake, I spent the 20 dollar gift card to Hot Topic *from Nora, yaaaaay!* on Chris and Angelique, and then like I had forty bucks that I worked for, I spent that on my parents. I spent 20 dollars of my unreceived (my mom lent it to me) Christmas money on my brother. It feels really good.
Speaking of my brother, I always used to think that he hated me. I think that he now sees where I was coming from last year, because he's having to deal with a lot of the same problems I had to last year. I never really had that much respect for him, but he's been really nice, and he bought my mom, dad, and I Christmas gifts, bought a few of his close friends gifts, and bought my grandparents gifts. But so, I got him a gift yesterday, and he got mine yesterday, around the exact same time, both at Wal-Mart. We walked out of the store, and exchaned gifts. He bought me a game (ONE THAT I REALLY WANTED!!!!!), I bought him a game. We know eachother too well, haha. Well 15 years of living with the same people kind of does that to you. Well I bought him something he picked out, yeah I know, defeats the purpose, but it was more efficiant, and he knew I wanted the game he gave me.
Okay, before I go any farther, lemme say this, people that have known me for a long time probably know that I love the Resident Evil series. People that have known me for a really long time, realize that it was the first game I actually played through, Resident Evil for the Sega Saturn, and people that have known me for a really, really long time, know that that game used to give me nightmares, cuz I was like... Six. And everyone should know this, and if they don't, they live under a rock. But the commercials for the new Resident Evil look really cool, and really gory, and awesome as hell... He got me Resident Evil 4. He spent more than half of his pay check to buy me a Christmas gift that I would like. Thanks Mike! I still have a ton of people to get presents for, but I'll take care of it... Outta things to say, so peace out.
Peace,
<3 Jess
Resident Evil 4. It came out for the Gamecube, and took the world by storm. It's safe to say that the jump from Resident Evil: Nemesis to RE4 is the biggest leap a franchise has ever made. IT's easily the best Gamecube game ever, and the best Resident Evil to date. Every gamecube owner should (and probably already does) own a copy of it. But, all good things must come to an end. For those of you who only own a Gamecube, and don't own a PS2, you're getting screwed, cuz here comes Resident Evil 4 for the PS2.
The game is going to be better than the Gamecube version, first of all. There is no denying it. It's just going to be flat out awesome. There will be new costumes, new weapons, but here's the kicker: MORE ADA! There will be at least FIVE more ada missions than just "Assignment Ada" in the game. The graphics will not be as good, granted, but they will only be roughly 2% worse. That's barely noticable. So, that's practically the only negative.
I'm just SO FUCKING excited about this game, but here's the real, REAL kicker: I'M GETTING IT!!!
These are the last days before I go back to tafe on Wednesday to a lil class rightly dubbed by Miss Melly: 'Pop Fuck' (Popular Fiction)...Gee Gary I can't wait to see you again...Why'd the holidays have to come to an end just when I was starting to have so much fun?
What have these holidays consisted of?
Trying portion control although when pods came into the picture (crispy shells filled with mars bar bits) it was very hard. And I think I like cheese too much.
Exercising. I think I went to the gym once...did a few 1 hour walks here and there mostly after dropping my car off at the mechanics and going to pick it up again on two occasions. I like what Carrie said in Sex and The City: I don't go to the gym. Shopping is my cardio - which leads me to:
Shopping. I did a lot of shopping these holidays. Shopping is all round therapy for me. Whether I'm happy, sad, pissed off, stressed out...whatever...there's nothing like the fix of buying something :D After a while I thought, ok...let's try staying away from the shops, but that's when I discovered TVSN (TV Shopping Network)...
Jan got his PR - My husband finally got his permanent residence in Australia. Whoo hoo! It just took us over 2 and a half years...I love my cutie.
I got HDs - Yesssss...HDs mean High Distinctions. And I got them for all my subjects last semester. Aren't I a square?
Spending time with friends. Not as much as I'd like to, but it's been quality time and I've enjoyed myself muchly. Luvya guys...
Ann & Leon - you guys are like my siblings without the fighting ;) Dunno what I'd do without your love, strength and guidance.
Melly - I call her my lil sis...Can't get enough of our deep and meaningfuls...altho a little less burping would be good *takes away her coke*...So adorable ;) *hugs* (cuz she secretly loves em!)
Jarrod - So cool seeing you again and your hip parents! I particularly enjoyed your soothing music - I should call you when I have insomnia! You're one of the nicest guys in the world...*personal cheer for Jarrod*
Dave - You know I'm proud of you and admire your self-discipline and dedication...
Sarah - You've got your 12 Kingdoms now...I hope you're happy :D *wants to see Sarah shop even more!*
Scott - Well, the extent of our converstions have been purely online cuz someone's been playing too much Warcraft and getting hungover...But it was fun sharing sashimi & chicken with ya way back at Mel's party.
Mandy - I just don't get to talk to you enough! hehe...Must rectify this matter but I know you're a busy girl :D *hugs*
Gaming. I've mostly played Resident Evil 4 on gamecube and Zelda: Minish Cap on gba.
TV/Movies: The highlights: Napoleon Dynamite and 3rd time round of Sex and the City.
Stress galore. Jan, Ann & Leon have been the prime witnesses to my slow decay into madness. But...it's getting better, hopefully as I adjust to the ever shifting planes in my life. That's why the holidays have consisted of a lot of shopping and gaming instead of working on my novel *ahem*...
