I was lying in the cold rain, waiting for death to descend on me, when I heard footsteps...
I didn't look up, I had no energy left...
"Hm...?What the? Oh my, are you ok?" I heard a voice...
"..." i didn't even have the energy to speak...
The man, i could tell by his voice, seemed to kneel down, and gently lifted my head up, I was looking into his eyes, they were soft and gentle, a soft brown colour, i felf myself gettting lost those eyes...
"Pl...ease, hel..p m..e" I managed to stutter out...
"oh my..." I heard him exclaim, he lifted me up with such ease, and started to walk...
"Wait, my...daugh...ter, sh...e's over ther..e" at this he turned around, and headed towads my preicous girl, he lifted her onto his hsoulders, picked me up again, and walked, I had no idea of where we were heading, I just hoped it was somewhere safe...
After what I thought was 10 minutes, we reached a home, he kicked the door wit his foot and it swung open, he carried us in and put me on a sofa, and Kira beside me, he went to fetch us blankets and cups of tea, by this time Kira had woken up and she was curled up beside me...
He came back in and we wrapped the blankets around us.
"So, wht were you do out there like that then...?"
I don't know why, but i felt as though i could trust this man, so I told him everything, about my ex, about what he did to us, how they hurt my daughter, I could see he was listening closely and didn't interupt me...
When I finished, i looked at him and I could see sadness in his eyes...
"I see, have you told the police about this?" hs asked.
"I can't some of those men are part of the police force, they would persude their follow workmates that I was just meantally destroyed person waiting to go into a mental home, I have to stop them somehow..."
"I know we haven't know each other long, but I can see you'll need some help, so i'm willing to help you..." he got up out of his seat and offered his hand to shake.... "I'm Sereno, what might you're name be?" he asked
"My name is Rosa, and this is my daughter, Kira...." I shook his hand...
"Tis a pleasure to meet you...you must be soaking in those clothes, you's can borrow my sister's clothes, i'm sure she won't mind, and i'm sure she'll have something that wouls fit you too, Kira" He explained...
"Thank you, Mr Sereno..." She whispered.
"Just call me Sereno..." With that he headed upstairs to find us some clothes...
