POSITION SUMMARY:
Combines great location with true leadership opportunity. The Department Director is responsible for management
of all departmental functions in support of the facility and corporate mission, vision and goals. The Director
identifies cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department, taking into account business
trends, resource availability, and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with
all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Director identifies and
remedies operational concerns while continuously searching for performance improvement in operations and
standards of care. This is accomplished through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Direct participation in minimum of 1 Joint commission survey. Computer literate. Excellent oral and written
communication skills. Good customer service skills. Excellent organizational/prioritization skills. Ability to
work well with all levels of staff. Five (5) years previous hospital experience with at least 3 years supervisory
capacity. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related healthcare field required, Health
Information Management and RHIA certification preferred.

Health Facility providing acute and long-term psychiatric treatment services for children and adolescents, many with dual
diagnoses. They are seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee all aspects of patient care for the facility, which is completely
therapeutic and serves a patient census of approximately 90. The Director of Nursing ensures that patient care needs are met in

also preferred. Previous management experience in an inpatient setting is also necessary.

accept DECON and HAZMAT emergencies. The DECON room is designed to quickly process 100 patients at a time.
Position Charter
