Recipe:
-Decide on the project details, spend time on e-Bay ordering any special badges you will need.
-Take one old but functioning refrigerator. Preferrably an old "roundie"
-Cover and tape the parts of the unit you do not wish to paint
-Remove all badges, flashings and bright-parts you do not want to keep
-Fill in all unwanted holes with gap filler, allow to dry
-Sand back the surface to be painted with 3 grades of sandpaper - Course to fine
-Using a sponge roller, coat with primer - once. Allow to dry overnight
-Sand the primer back with wet/dry sandpaper until flawless
-Clean with a cloth, moistened with Methylated Spirit
-Inspect and re-do any imperfect surface areas
-Using another sponge roller, paint the unit with the desired enamel colour. Allow to dry overnight
-Inspect and re-do any imperfect surface. Allow to dry
-Install decals and handpainted details. Allow to dry overnight
-Using another sponge roller, cover with gloss enamel. Allow to dry overnight
-Inspect, sand (wet/dry) and repaint any imperfect surfaces.
-When satisfied with the painted finish, intsall the bright-work (badges etc)
