Recuperation @ MindSay

WILL BE AWAY FOR A BIT - BACK SOON
The blog will be quiet for awhile. Will be away for some couple of weeks to go into surgery and recuperation. Would appreciate your prayers to accompany me through this. Thank you so much. Smiley Blessings to you all from the hands of a loving God.

He told me I had to get off the computer
Taking the advice of my very dear friend, tootboy , I am going to "zone" -- was that the right term, sir?

He called me and when I sounded more like a character from a low-budget horror film (the breathless wheezing of an asthmatic villain kind of sound) with a bad chest cold, he dropped the phone and opted to IM.  Wise fellow.  He made me promise to get off the computer and watch a stupid movie.

I just can't decide which stupid movie to watch. This led to a deep discussion on the merits of Brendan Fraser (long rabbit trail, sorry) but I am still clueless...

Hey, I'll watch Clueless.  There, Scott, is that zoned enough? :D

I'd say "bronchitis sucks" but that would imply enough oomph to inhale sharply enough to produce a vacuum. So I'll simply say that it will be lovely to be able to breathe again without having to actually think about it.

Sigh.  Shallowly.

Coming Home
Surgery went well- much healing to do in the days ahead - but first we need to get him home.  Hospitals are not a good place to recuperate.  Sleep is nearly impossible, and everything is cramped and regulated.  A couple of hours from now the doctor should clear him to be discharged.  The days ahead will be uncomfortable physically, but far better here than there.  This past week has been so disjunct from the rest of our lives- fear and concern and a lack of control.  Time to reclaim the joy and comfort in each daily routine and the beauty of the seasons in transition.

Recuperating

I'm on the mend and starting to get back in the swing of my normal, busy life.  Still a bit congested, but the worst of it is passed.  The kids seemed to bounce back from it quickly and I probably would have too if it had not went into my chest and turned into bronchitis.  I swear, I can never have a cold and not have that happen!

Thank goodness that I have a wonderful husband who dropped what he had to do and played the part of Mr. Mom for a few days while I slept it all off.  Hahaha...he had to go back to work to get some rest!  The kids tried to kill him!

I have a lot of mystery shopping to make up and so I will be busy the next few days.  But I am really excited about making out my list of dreams, similar to what snuggs  did on her blog!  She came up with a fabulous list of wild and wonderful dreams that she has had and it was awesome!

Well I think I'm gonna go pop another Ricola cough drop and hit the hay.  Hope you all have a great day!
