A boring couple of weeks

*Sigh*

So... Phil and Jo are going to Fine Arts Camp and are going to be made very unavailable to me for a majority of the next two weeks. Calvin is fishing until tomorrow, and most likely on and off for the next couple of weeks. Adrienne doesn't come back for another whole 6 days. Judson, Nate and Skye all work, leaving them unavailable as usual. So pretty much, it'll just be me and Calvin playing card games and watching movies some nights and me and Adrienne watching The Office some nights as well. Other than that, I'll just be watching movies by myself and trying to see as many critically acclaimed movies as I can, so I can be more enlightened in that department of my life... I need to watch Garden State.

Wedding Music
Found more music for the wedding.  So the song Mark and I picked for me walking up to is Pachebel's Canon in D Major, and "our song" that we are having our first dance to is "Songbird" by Eva Cassidy.  It is beautiful.  If you haven't heard it, I would highly recommend you listen to it, it is so peaceful and beautiful to listen to.  She also does a version of "Fly me to the moon"  I really like that version, but of course Frankie's version will always be the best.  I think for a wedding though her version is more romantic and slower to dance to, whereas his version you could actually add a little sway dancing to it.  Which reminds me, Mark and I are working on dancing to the song "Sway" first sang by Dean Martin but the newer version is by (I hate to say it) the pussycat dolls and it is a song I have wanted to teach Mark to dance to for so long, and he wants to learn and is actually excited to learn and dance at our wedding to it. Which is good, cause if he didn't want to I would never pressure him into doing something he didn't want to do, last thing I need to do is make the guy more nervous about certain things.  He hates crowds of people, but suprisingly is wanting to learn to dance at the wedding.  He can slow dance very well, but he feels he wants to improve.  I can understand that, after all the attention is all on the people getting married, so since dancing is a part of it, may as well be ready.  There is so much music that I hear that I say, "Hey that would be nice to have at our wedding", that honestly our wedding reception would be a week long if we picked every song I heard.  Music has always been so important to Mark and I, I think we will have to make our lists and go through them, and decide that way.

drdrew recommends: alwaysseeking

alwaysseeking has the "classic" style blog, that makes blogging what it is.   She'll hit you with powerful thoughtful writing, let you know what she's listening to, and then throw in some humor.

A recent post explains:

" sometimes i really need snapped out of my mindset.  i start to think i can't do anything.

i think i can, and then i fall back.  and then i hurt.  it's easy to slip.  this time when i thought about you (its inevitable, but today was not a product of the past) i smiled."

When someone asks me why people blog, and what people blog about, this is where I'll point them.   It's whatever you want it to be, whatever you choose to make it.  It's yours.

drdrew recommends: kered

kered is a co-worker of mine, it's true.   However, it doesn't change the fact that I think his blog is probably the funniest and best blog you've never read on MindSay.   His "Busted Files" series will having you laughing for hours.  Derek has a knack of finding funny and popular links and news stories, and his blog is always current with the latest events.   He's a must to have in your inbox, go check it out.

Happy Holidays everyone!!
