Woot Alert!
I don't usually do this, but...

Woot (http://www.woot.com) has a daily deal which I would recommend -- it's the Sandisk Sansa e250 personal "multimedia" player with 2 GB of built in memory and a MicroSD slot for further memory.   It plays MP3s and WMA files -- but also displays images and video (albeit on a really, really tiny screen).

I have the 4GB model and I love it. (At home we call it the "faux-pod.") Sansa is a well-known brand, and this item has received plenty of good reviews. It's also quite sturdy; mine has fallen on the floor quite a few times without damage.  If you're in the market for an MP3 player only slightly bigger than the iPod Nano and much less expensive -- and you can get by with 2GB -- I'd highly recommend it.

Woot's price is fifty bucks plus $5 shipping.  This is really quite impressive -- even for a refurbished unit (with 90 day warranty).

I'm sure it won't last long -- get it if you're interested!

My Favorite Chinese Poet

First,I must say that I am very happy because Mindsay where I'm in now is a terrific place.I knew the first foreign e-friend who is an expert on Pride and Prejudice which I am reading.And I received  the first foreigner's comment on my English writing.There's friendship everywhere.

I think I would get many stuffs which are different from ones in my country.In the other side,I believe that I can bring you lots of my country's things.

Well,today I will recommend you a poet who is my favorite.He is Xu Zhimo,or Hsu Chimuo.He was born in1873 and died in 1931.His young death is a tragedy of Chinese history of literature because he's the one who change the habit of Chinese poets' writing.

Now I will show you one of his most best-known poems.

                            Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again

by Xu Zhimo

Very quietly I take my leave
As quietly as I came here;
Quietly I wave good-bye
To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

The golden willows by the riverside
Are young brides in the setting sun;
Their reflections on the shimmering waves
Always linger in the depth of my heart.

The floating heart growing in the sludge
Sways leisurely under the water;
In the gentle waves of Cambridge
I would be a water plant!

That pool under the shade of elm trees
Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;
Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds
Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream?

To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream
To where the green grass is more verdant;
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight
And sing aloud in the splendor of starlight.

But I cannot sing aloud
Quietness is my farewell music;
Even summer insects heap silence for me
Silent is Cambridge tonight!

Very quietly I take my leave
As quietly as I came here;
Gently I flick my sleeves
Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away

I don't know how many people know the poet in you western world,but he is my and a lot of Chinese people's favorite.So I recommend him.

(no subject)

Still a little depressed. I think I may be getting over it... but don't want to jinx myself just yet. It's gone from always being sad, to always being kinda angry, to now being always pissed. I'm going back to my bitchy self I was like in the beginning of high school. I though I left it all behind, but I guess not.

Last night, I went out with a friend, and he wouldn't get out of the car until I felt better. Needless to say, he was an hour past his curfew... oops. His mom likes me, though, so maybe he can get away with it. He wasn't even supposed to be out- but because it was with me, his mom let him go.

Venting is sometimes necessary. I put so much time and effort into my friends, and taking care of other people, that I completely neglect myself.

...Not a good thing. I don't recommend it...
