*I can't believe they're gone.  When I go home this time next week, I'll have to walk by this big gaping hole in the center of town (PS, the entire 'town' consists of only 2 more blocks of stores, so this gap is pretty significant) to get to my parents' store, which thankfully was untouched.

But wow.

What a blow to a really amazing community.  I'll have to send some messages around to see how all of my people up there are doing.

Here's hoping that the tenants who lived above those stores have some place warm to go tonight.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Rebuild
Security Level: Low (Public / Everybody)

Rebuild of Evangelion - September 1, 2007

This is now showing in Japan. I wasn't told about this until a few days ago, Uyoku's brother told me about it. Not that much difference as I can see from the trailers, which is something I would've liked.

I'd go to Japan to see it, but I have to get ready for work now... :(

p.s. I just finished watching a complete collection of "Kino's Journey".

Random
Things I love: pizza, Gregory not being able to keep his hands off my newly blonde head, being understood, being done with my chores for the weekend, that vanilla Pepsi is growing on me.

Things I hate: having to find/steal/beg/borrow computer time, the fact that my mother's son will spend no more than three years (prolly) in prison while I get to rebuild my collections from the past ten years, not being able to find things when I want to spend money.

Things I would love to do but don't have the courage to: walk up to someone whom I've been driving behind for the past few moments, and who hasn't been using their turn signal and say 'um, excuse me, but you are out of blinker fluid."; go up to someone with a Bush/Cheney sticker on their car and ask 'do you still think that is a good idea?'; make my own haircolor by mixing two other colors together.

New Orleans , What do you think ? (2)

So, I worked a 7 - 1 shift at work. Where alot of people where donating money and buying stuff to help the relief effort in New Orleans. Needless to say, the store was very busy. This area, in 48 hours, loaded up 10 tracktor trailors full of stuff for the victims of the hurricane.

So, the question that needs to be asked now, is ... Should they rebuild New Orleans to the city that it was? Reshape it somehow, so that it ends up above sea leavl , but possiably smaller ? These question have been floating around the news broadcasts most of the day.

My take on it ? I think they should rebuild, if possiable, but smaller, and above sea level. If that is possiable, we are sure to find out in the coming months, and years.
