Thursday, lunch time, i rear ended a kid in my grade.
that sounds wrong.
i rear ended his truck. it was at an intersection, he was at a dead stop. i was going about...30.
the worst part of it? how it actually happened. i sneezed. no joke. i sneezed and like, mid sneeze i rear end this kid. this is so embarrassing.
thankfully, this kid is someone i know. well, i've known him since like 2nd grade, and that's right around the last time i've talked to him. he was chill though. him and his girlfriend were more concerned with me. they said all they saw was my hood just FLY up.
i hit my head on the steering wheel, like, the circular part. you know? yeah i banged against that pretty hard. everything was in slow motion and i was all dizzy and disoriented. i honestly think i have a concussion but the doctors hardly looked. they were more concerned that i didn't have wiplash or back problems. which is good too. what's not so good about the doctor visit is that i didn't even get any real pills. i got Relafin. you know what that is? it's for arthrits. it's a freaking anti-inflammatory. i was hoping for hydros or something. he was all, "oh it's stronger than motrin." woowww. might as well just prescribe advil.
anyways, my car is basically totalled. i mean it's not. we can fix it. only it would cost more than anything. so we're not fixing it. it's just sitting in front of my house now with the hood all crunched up and the windshield all cracked. and the fender gone. and don't forget the headlight. people drive slower by my house now. awesome.
oh and his car? barely anything. at most he'll get a new bumper. my car is too small to inflict any real damage to anything except maybe a small rat. i didn't even reach his headlight, which is good.
basically, i've (unwillingly) decided to become a walker. i don't mind it at all actually. it is cold outside, but not so much after i've walked about half a mile or so. plus it gives me time to listen to my ipod and actually pay attention to the song and think. instead of having to watch the road. of course, it does take me about 30 minutes to go somewhere that used to take me about 5. but hey, i'll get used to it. i'll have to anyways.
all in all i'm fine and so are they. everything is fine, except maybe the insurance company's opinion of me, and my car. and my head. >_< fact is, at least i'm not seriously injured.
