Rattlesnake @ MindSay 
That snakes on the plane thing everyone seems to be enjoying... well...
I have had two encounters with snakes in my path in the last 48 hours... it isn't as cute and there were no one liners..
The first one happened while walking with my friend Grendel in the back area where I was housesitting... It was near dusk, but not quite.. the sun was just behind a ridge but plenty of light... We were looking for Mormon Tea, and I was looking at the ground as I walked but it was open enough that I felt safe. I took one step forward, lifted my other foot and saw a movement in the top corner of my eye... It was a snake picking up his head, and the tail had a faint rattle I could barely hear because I was so busy trying to process the moment... I have NEVER squealed like a girl before at things like this, but it was so unexpected, caught me so off guard... One more step and I would have been on top of the motherfucker... Some snakes just look like rattlers for defense, and those are the ones I usually stumble across... This one was really a rattler...
One step more... I didn't even see it... he blended in with the rocks so well, tucked in between three short scrubby tumble weeds.
Today while mowing and chopping the incredible growth of weeds and grasses around the house, I tried to keep my mind aware of the snake factor,especially after the last incident.. I got into that zen mowing mode and it kind of slipped my mind. I got up close to the edge of the house and all of a sudden a snake head stands up and i, well... i dropped the mower and jumped back yelling "rattlesnake rattlesnake"... he had the same coloring, but different markings and different head.. but when you see anything close to a rattlesnake in color and it is too close you tend to react and run first, look back and identify later...
Two snakes.. First one venomous, potentially very bad situation... second one just a simple snake, a beneficial snake... but still.. a snake i didn't see until i was close enough for harm had he not been a mellow nonvenomous thing...
Must learn to walk with more vigilance...
Snakes on a plane may be cute, but snakes in the yard are definitely something completely different.
I had the worst pain ever today. I wanted to slit myself. Me and Spencer took Will to the Childrens Museum. About 3/4 through it I started feeling the massive hit of woman pain. It was BRUTAL. I couldnt walk. It physically hurt to talk. It hurt so fucking bad, I started crying. Spencer was slightly freaking out and he had no idea what to do and theres Will, taking pictures of me laying on the Forks cement with Spencers camera phone and Spencer yelling at him not to and telling Will he'll drop kick him in the face. It was a little nuts. I was trying to find a position that wouldnt kill me with pain but I couldnt. My stomache was pumping with pain and my back was like I had been laying on a steel rod for a month. It was unbearable. I had to call my mom early to come get us and she was scared at how I looked and was acting because it was that bad. I had to work tonight too.Which sucked. Carolyn called me too to ask me to come in EARLY on top of all that. Luckily I was sleeping and my mom told her to fuck herself. Well. Not quite. My mom said I was rolling over in pain in bed and I wouldnt be able to come in early. So she didnt make me or anything. Thank god the pain pulses were over by 6 cause standing at work for 3 hours would have been complete HELL.
Tonight was fun though. Spencer got me from work and we went to my place. We went to get a movie, but the movie place we had a coupon for was closed. Spencer was peeing in an ally and he was being a baby about "someone seeing him". God. I have more balls then he does. Id just whip it out and pee. Heres another thing he mentioned. When we went to the movie the other night he told me how he had to pee in a stall because the urinals were occupied. I said All of them? and he was like Well no, Every second one. I was like "?" and he said some dumb man rule about never going directly beside another guy peeing. So it goes Empty urinal, occupied urinal, empty urinal, occupied urinal, ect ect. regardless of how busy it is. Thats so gay. I mean, Id just go inbetween 2 guys and whip my thang out and look at theres and have a little convo with them. Itd be great fun. ANYWHO, yeah we ended up going to Safeway instead and getting stuff to put on icecream(which Im now feeling sick from I might add) and me and Spencer were joking around and he fake "pretended to walk" and I was like Meh fine, walk. And he did! lol he wouldnt get back in the car so he walked home. My mom was like where the hells spencer? and I was like Meh I donno. My mom was so confused lol. But he did arrive like 20 minutes after me.
Tomorrow should be alright. I have a dumb shift, 10am to 1pm. Isnt that queer? Daves a tightass and doesnt wanna pay 3 people to be on the floor on a weekday so Im basically a filler until Sharon gets there to take over at 1. Christ. But then my parents are treating me and spencer to a Tony Romas lunch buffet and then they're taking us to the Zoo and then Im going BACK to spencers for Dinner. Im assuming. He doesnt know Im going there for Dinner yet, but I am. Its looking like a pretty sweet week. Then if we go to the beach on Wednesday, and then my dad was gonna take me and Spencer to the Mennonite place Thursday, Id work 6-9 and then hang out with Spencer Thursday night. THEN! On friday I leave for Cali baby. YEAH! Should be pretty sweet.
