Rank @ MindSay
Why cant my NCOs get that I DONT WANT TO BE ONE!!! I am ok with being just an E-4 right now. I have no want or need to be an NCO at all. I am not ready for more pressure then I already have on me. Hell I already cant handle the little bit that is put on me. Why not let other guys who WANT that go to the WLC school.. why is it when I say NO I dont want to do that and NO I dont want a packet put in for a promotion they say o well you are doing it anyways... I dont think I am going to sign the packet though when it is done.. I mean yes they will be mad but they cant force me to fucking write my name on it.. I DONT want to be an NCO right now. I will get there. I WILL be one and when I am one I will do a great job at it and I will have my shit down tight like it should be.. not like it is right now. Right now I dont know my own job, I dont know the facts that EVERY member of the Army should know.. simple stuff on your weapon and fuck I will admit at time I am even weak on my rank structure. Which is very sad.. Why cant they just leave me alone to do the job they gave me at the mometn and let me be. I HATE being forced to do things. I hate being told to be motivated because it just makes me not want to do shit.. yes that is the little rebel in me that is still not done fighting and I hope he never does.. but god damn it.. I DONT want it...
That is it.. LAter

Eee Gads, Watson! It's a dayum cold out there. Actually we are in a heat wave today! A whole 1 degree. With windchill it is still 1 degree out! Way better then it was yesterday when we went to the tkd tournie! From about 4 am till 9 am it was -12 but with windchill feeling like -27. When we finally got on the road an hour and half late (we was tired from the night before and everyone was CRABBY) it was up to -10 with windchill feeling like -24 the rest of the day.
The kids thought I was crazy because I made them load the van up with 3 blankets, the small bag of kitty litter, the rest of the salt, a couple cans of soups, a small propane blow torch and a couple of spoons. I also made them run down stairs to grab a few jugs of water and my last tin coffee can. There was NO WAY in hell that I was getting strandend even an hour and half in IA with out being able to take care of my kids yesterday. When we stopped to fill the tank up, I grabbed some other small foods also and had a friend of mine that works at the store double check under the van to make sure my jack and tire where under there. Chad is such a nice guy! Grew up together, hung out together, and disappointed our families by not ever dating!:D He helped carry out the bags of grocieries (not his job anymore at the store-he helps the owner with the butcher counter now) and noticed we were loaded up to go somewhere and got right after me about my spare tire and cables to jump with and how i shouldn't have the kids out on a day like yesterday and with my knees I shouldn't be out on a day like yesterday. But he knows I won't listen so he crawled on the cold ground to make sure everything was there and then procedded to chew my ass more. He got right after Coltin about listening to me (he knows my kids are onery like me:D) and told DeLaney to keep her cute lil ears covered at all times.
We got to the tournie after opening ceromonies and in time to see one of our lil classmates take all three trophies in her age division and rank. Which would have been DeLaney's and Coltin's age division and Rank. Mr. Johnson gave me a bad time and said see should have just signed up for the tournie! Poor Amanda had no competition out there! Then we wondered all over the place trying to find my cousin Joe and his boy Kody. Kody is a black belt, just turned 8, and we wanted to watch him. Finally found them right when they were getting ready to start his age group and division! Kody did rather well considering this was his first time at this age ranking. Poor boy had to go up against two different state champions. One from MN and one from IA! He got 4th out of 8th so Joe and I had to do some fast talkign to get him to realize that was dayum good when all those other boys were closer to 10 and he just turned 8!
Another lil girl from our class, Britney was going at the same time as Kody, so we wondered down to her area when Kody was waiting his turn and she did really good also. Took 1st and 2nd but the lil boy she kept having to compete with took over all. She started crying and I pointed out to her that for her first tournie that is dayum good. I convienced her to wonder over to watch Robin a 12 year old 2nd degree black belt who was competting against a state champ and a regional champ and this was her first go as a 2nd degree black belt. Britney realized that if Robin can go out there and not cry when she got 3rd overall that she did a good job. Then we watched Mr. Bel a 16 year old 2nd degree black belt on his way to 3rd. We ended up wondering over to the women's comp that I would have been in and didn't get to see how he did, but we saw the first part of his form and Mr. Bel rocks! His name is actually Ryan but since Mr. Johnson's name is also Ryan we call mr. bel only half of his last name to keep them seperated.
Mr. Jones and Mr. Johnson was right, if we would have competetied yesterday I would have came home with a couple of trophies. But I refused to get points awarded just because I had a knee surgery and couldn't jump on #2 front kicks when I should be doing #1 jump front kicks. By the time 2:30 rolled around we were all tired. Joe and Kody drove up with Mr. Jones and Mr. Bel (they drove the others jumped in with them) so they had to stick around till Mr. Jones competeted. I really wanted to watch Mr. Jones and Mr. Johnson compete. Mr. Jones is a 1st degree black belt and Mr. Johnson is a 3rd degree soon to be 4th degree. That would have been interesting. But alas we loaded up with our tshirts we got, gave Kody a hug again and teased cousin Joe about not competiting himself. Joe's excuse is he gets way to nervous and wasn't like me and his sister Tammy (that's my vet) who took speech in highschool, college, and 4-H (tammy not me) nor did he take part in plays, muscicals, one acts, or debate team like we did. I giggled at him and said tell you what coz, you partake in our academy's tournie and we can talk Mr. Johnson into letting us do a expidetion sparring match between the two of us. You as a 1st degree black belt and me as either a Cami or a green belt when ever the tournie comes around. You can attempt to beat the crap out of me. He perked up and said hmmm that might get me into that tournie!:D So he is going to think about it and talk to his wifey and if she thinks he should do the tournie (she will-she likes tournies) then we will see if Mr. Johnson will let us try to beat the crap out of each other:D
Anyway, by the time we made it back into the city it was about 4:30 and I realized due to my busy week and weekend I had no food in the hosue, called Randy and he said to pick something up. The kids wanted chicken. So we stopped at KFC's and got chicken. I am not a big chicken eater so I let the kids pick out what kind of chicken and the sides. we got home and I put the food in the oven and the kids helped me to clean the mudporch and change litter boxes.
Now that the kids are off to Mass with Granny, I need to deciede if I am showering up and after they get home if we are running back to the city for grocieries or doing what Randy suggested and just email him my grociery/dollar general list and he and Arjan will stop on the way home and get it all for me. Randy is feelign crappy cause he worked out in that -24 weather pulling wire, conduit, and double checkign the structuour and mechanical engenerring on a packign plant and a mill yesterday. But the weather is suppose to turn crappier today and he knows I HATE the cold and refuse to drive in snow and ice as it comes down. Randy looks at it this way, he may feel like crap and be cold but he can at least move with out being stiff and have his joints lock up like I do during the cold. Bree called right before my mom picked the kids up and said she is going to call back with a grociery list of her own and said to just have the hubby's pick up the crap. She is at work and her house is empty also of food and this way neither one of us have to run to go get grocieries the guys can do it!
I probalby will just take down her grociery list and email it along with mine and make our hubby's do the shoppign this weekend!
I am down rambling for now. My dad called and left a messy last night saying he is running low on fuel oil and needed some more wood. He won't take the split wood (to hard to push back intot he furnace with his back and knees) so instead of telling him we dont' have any 3ft length cut, I am going to bundle up and cut him a pile of 3ft length wood and this evening with Randy's help take it down to the parental units. I'll go out about noon to do that cause I have to get my house back in order!
Talk to you all later!
Well it is 10:01 pm in my household and I just got the kids put to bed; so I can turn around and wake them up at 7 am on a Saturday:D
Class went really well and we had a lot of fun. Even though we are NOT officially Camo belts, Mr. Johnson told us to show up for it. We are doing Bo Staff or as some of you know them Long Staffs. This is one of Mr. Johnson's favorite weapons so he teaches us a lil more than normal! Since there were enough lil ones to pair with each other, I got to pair with Mr. Johnson. It was nice to actually spar and practice with someone who is just as tall if not taller then you! Normally I end up on my knees or squating down cause I get stuck with the lil guys!:D
The kids and I went to Perkins and had a nice lesurly dinner while Randy and Arjan were driving home. Spud was very happy to see Randy and from what Randy could deduce by his behavor we are going on day 3 of no seuzuries. Yay! After dinner the kids and I headed back to the Taekwondo Academy for post dated testing. There was one Brown belt, two Blue belts, 3 Yellow belts (that would be us) and one White belt. We also had 4 Tiny Tiger various colored belts testing. We did very well. And Mr. Jones and Mr. Johnson used us as an example and got right after the 3 higher ranked belts (brown and blues) on how they were too toned down and not being respectful. We got to show off our double sticks (basically swords) moves but since it was post testing we didn't get to show any of our basic sparring skills. Unlike normal testing where you get your belt that day after testing, we don't get our new camo belts till Monday evening's class. Why? Mr. Johnson likes to present the belts in front of as many students as possible for post dated testers. Simply because we are the ones that have missed regular classes for one reason or another and have had to put more work in and he likes to rub it in a nice manner to the regular class.
We also got our sparring gear tonight. I strung the kids payments out over 4 months because it was before the Holidays. I paid off mine in one shot tonight. Mr. Johnson had all my sparring gear on hand brand new but my chest protector. He has to order that. But he was nice enough to order my gear bag when he did the kids' so I could have it when I paid for my sparring gear! Tomorrow we are heading into IA about an hour and half in to watch a TKD Tournie before we partake in one. The kids want to get up at 7 am so they can make their cousin Cody a poster to cheer him on. He is 7 almost 8 and a black belt. This will be his first black belt tournie. They also plan on making Amanda, one of their rank classmates who is takign part tomorrow, a sign. And we plan on making Mr. Johnson and Mr. Jones a sign also. They are both partakign in teh black belt adult division.
Since Randy and Arjan will be up near where we will be at tomorrow we are meeting them for an early dinner after we watch Mr. Jones and Mr. Johnson in the tournie!
Hope you all have a good day tomorrow!
Has anyone heard about the buzz surrounding A-List bloggers losing their page rank due to their business dealings with textlinkads, payperpost and other advertisers? Some people lost their page rank completely, while others were penalized a point or two. Google isn't playing....
Has anyone else had google search their blog every day?
Just wondering? I lost the page rank on four of my blogs. I'm not too upset because I still have other ways to generate income, but knowing one entity has so much control over the internet is a little scary.
So, has Google's e-war effected you? How so?
Okay I am going to do something I hardly ever do! I am going to post a picture of me and my kids! You see we had our first testing for taekowndo yesterday and we all passed to the next rank. The instructor challenged us at the beginning of June when we signed up to get to this point with everyone else. Everyone else was four or five weeks ahead of us in learning what they needed to know to test. But we worked hard and learned everything even with missing about six classes due to various things!
DeLaney did really well and enjoyed showing off her numchuck skills! She picked those suckers up fast! Even the instructor said that they just might end up being her weapon of choice! Coltin got very nervous and ended up freezing in the middle of his form test with everyone. The instructor called him to the judging table, gave him a lil pep talk and had him do his form by himself with the instructor calling out the moves after explaining to all the folks watching that Coltin does know his form and the hardest test for anyone is usually going from White belt to the next rank and then testing for your first black belt. Everyone in the building hooted and hollered for him when he completed the form by himself!
Randy even came to the testing and took pictures. I am not sharing the pictures of the actual testing because yay, you all don't need to see my entire huge sexy body moving:P But I will share the picture of the kids and I after the award ceromony against one of the walls!
