Ramble at the end of a road
Once upon a time, there was only one child in the House O'Quill and I was a stay-at-home writing mom.
I had forgotten, in truth, what it felt like.
Spousal Unit and Cyclone have been in Tennessee for a few days, leaving Cartoon Ranger and me here... being an only child and a stay-at-home writing mom. It's been...
Rather amazingly peaceful. :)
I haven't fallen off the earth or gone on vacation. Instead, I've been writing, watching movies with CR, enjoying the latest upgrades on the kitchen (my fifth grade Sunday Schoolers are SO SICK of hearing about The Kitchen...and very relieved to get the final update yesterday), writing, playing with CR, going out with the little guy, hanging in with the little guy, and searching for The Lost Tooth.
CR has lost his first tooth. We have been in preparation for this event for a long time. It finally happened...very unceremoniously. He made a face, waved his hand in the air, threw something...and...
It was his tooth. I am still looking for it. White tooth, white tile floor, Legos..... Like looking for the proverbial needle. I am not vacuuming until it shows up...but I have swept a great deal.
Fortunately, we're not tooth fairy people here, so there was no expectation of a monetary compensation for the lost dental equipment.

I have seen my MindSay bookmark often as I have been writing. But... I truly felt I had nothing worthwhile to say. It's been a rather cloistered life, here. A good one. Just...quiet.
Taught Kinders yesterday at the 9:30 hour. Such was the census in the Kinder-department that I had about 12 kids and the class next door had 2. We combined and I did the lesson, while the other teachers from the other class did snack and craft. I am still not a whiz-bang with Kinders, but it was fun to be Cartoon Ranger's teacher for the morning. I don't think he ever really understood that Mommy was also Teacher. For him, the delight and "ooh" of it were new, yesterday. "Hallo, Mrs. Mommy! Hallo, Teacher! Hallo, Mrs. Sandi!" he said, over and again during class. Each time, reminding himself that I was still Mommy. Even while I entertained lots of kids his age with the story of Gold Frankenstein and Myrrh. (Okay, not exactly, but by the time it got home, that's probably what it sounded like.)
It made MY day, I can tell you that.

As the year draws to a close (she says in the inevitable Year's End Reflection Moment) I find myself in a quiet place. Perhaps it is the "half my family is far away" quiet. Perhaps it's the natural quiet of a natural hermit. Perhaps it is the peace of planned anticipation for a new year that could bring new changes and heretofore unexplored roads.
Perhaps it is merely the calm before the storm.
If I don't get back here within the next twelve hours, please accept my best wishes for a SAFE 2008. One of treasured moments, remembered lessons, memories and at least fifty-two gut-crunching hours of laughter.
And may 2008 bring peace. To your hearts, families and individual worlds.

talked to heather a lil will a lil an char lol that was funny talkin to char.. "brb i think i have to poop" lol wtf char :P haha and remember the kimster made scott speechless lol go kimster \m/ hehe hmm i was jus playin games on etalk waitin for tommy to come back.. then i started thinkin bout things.. an so i did a lil school work.. techie came on but we didnt talk much i was doin my art assignment.. but i showed him when i was done lol an then he sent me pics.. yay :D lol techie all dressed up workin haha
SCHOOL STUFF
EngLish 2,3, and 4 --for #2 the podcast doesnt work so i hafta read the stupid story myself but im gonna wait to do it coz i still have yet to finish the book im doin for #3 since it needsa go back next week.. im finishing that one first.. IF my dumbass teach ever emails me back about the assignment.. *gives a mean face an rolls my eyes at her* stupid. :) oo ooo i read the first two chapters of the book for #3.. im into it now lol dammit.. and i understand it a lil more butttt the journals WTF i have no clue what to write for it its sposed to be "my voice" not a summary of the story.. lol i would much rather be given a fuggin test to prove i read it O_O lol for real.. for #4 the assignments seem pretty easy im jus too wrapped up wit the book for #3.. an the fact my email has still NOT been read.. GRRR!!!!!
Art -- the thing on my art assignment at the end it says to place the assignment in block 3 lesson 2 drop box.. but uhh.. it was block 4 lesson 2.. that confused tha fugg outta me.. i went to the B3L2 drop box an the assignment was "whats it worth" i was like huh? i thought it was a closer look?? and then i saw the picture and read the assignment.. and i thought.. wtf.. ive already done this.. MY FIRST TIME IN TDA!! lmao so i went and read B4L2 and figured it was jus a mistake so i put my assignments in block 4 drop box.. and when u send in ur assignment u can type a lil message in the message box jus like any email an told her dat it said block 3 not block 4 lol :D but tha assignment haha omg i did the best i could.. if u all wanna see ill send u the scanned picture of it.. lol its sucky tho. i seriously cant draw worth a darn lol
PE -- i logged two hours and 45 minutes.. walking the track and shooting hoops.. two days in and 4:45 already.. lol not bad eh? :P jus 5:15 to go.. yay haha then no more for da rest of the block.. but still needa do that report thing jus not sure what im doin wit dat since i STARTED it my first time in tda lol im pretty sure i picked basketball as my sport of choice for it but i dun remember anything beyond that about the assignment so maybe ill jus start it over? lol *shrugs*
haha thas all my classes :D sounds so easy eh? :S lol

welp i think ive used my brain enough for today lool and i dont wanna sleep all day again.. so im gonna jump into bed get cozied up an snooze.. until my ymmot wakes me up :P haha

im so dead. i went to bed around 7:30 this morning. woke up every couple of hours. would check msn and then go back to bed. when i went to bed this morning i was tired like my body was tired but i wasnt sleepy i was wide awake heh but then i wake up an its like i havent slept in days.. but then i got up the third time and katlyn was on shes babysitting at someones house today until 8pm.. sucks lol but at least she can be online so yay :D i miss her sooo much!!!
im hungryyy i was talking to this guy from etalk last night well this morning more like it and he said he needed coffee and so i said coffee and coffee cake and then he said bagels.. then somehow that turned into food from McD's lol and that jus made me hungryyy i was cravin mcd's breakfast lool *drools* mm mmm mmmmm :D but obvi i couldnt go get any so i was jus munchin on these fudge grahams i had on my desk lol yummerness you betcha :D but now its 4pm.. and im waitin for da food to be done.. if its even been started lol if not ima go down there and make it myself lol and it'll be all for moi :D haha
hehe right now im watching spiderman.. ooo and last night big daddy lool love it :P it was on back to back so i watched it both times haha its jus so cute when hes like "ALRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGHHHHHHHHHHT gawd u were normal yesterday!!!" :D LOL

soo yesterday was alright.. i had some interesting convos lol played them addicting games on etalk again lol me and brooke are so addicted to them for real we'll be like okay jus one more then bed but.. them games are NEVER played only ONCE MORE lmfao but the yeti sports ones they're sooo cute.. the big white thing.. an the lil penguin.. so cute cept its so sad they choose such a cute lil penguin to be the thing that gets smacked and swung around.. .poor thing :( they're funny tho.. and fun of course.. finally got 5th place on the seal bounce one :D i was so shocked lol
then theres this boi in texas i think that msgs me on etalk and i told him to do my homework for me lmao hes like if i could pop my head thru the screen then sure i would lmao O_O me an brooke were like heck yea make him do our essays for us!! hahaha but nah im gonna do it myself.. even if it does take me a long time..
oh shyt that reminds me i only have this week to finish that book and the journals O_O sooo im goin to go and get started on that right now and ill post more later

It feels like a Monday.
Calendars be cursed! I know they're not displaying the truth. It's Monday again - I just know it.
I'm exhausted. My eyes feel bloated like water blisters. And there's a dull warm thump like a metronome keeping time on the inner surface of my forehead.
It feels like a Monday. It's got to be Monday. It's the only reasonable explanation.
Or maybe I never went to sleep at all. If one does not sleep from the period of time by which a calendar declares one date has passed into another, has the prior date truly ended?
Or should there be a new calendar which is unique to everyone - the days measured out by sleep patterns? Go to sleep - day is done. Wake up - new day begins. Insomniacs will have longer days. Chronic nappers will have tons of shorter days. And calendar creating companies will all go out of business.

But I don't feel like I did.

Work wants me to come in this morning, but i'm feeling kinda lousy, so I might call in sick at the last moment, we'll see what happens, if as i'm waking up more I feel better or not.
I really miss my sisters today.... we've been getting along really well while we talk online and on the phone while they're at school.
I'm tired.. and these rambles probably won't make much sense later on....
the teddy geiger cd is about to fall off my desk onto the floor.... oops.
I need to brush my teeth my mom tastes like morning breath big time.
