Notes To Self; another idea brewing
There's a definate link in our psyche between fears and our resistance to change, we want things "safe" and this is somewhat natural and yet has become distorted with modern lifestyles. We feel threatened in ways we don't even consciously think about anymore, fears that are simply built in, a guilty conscience from years of programming - MOST of this programming is self inflicted. (I can't do that!" "That's gonna hurt" "They hate me!") And the patterning of this self-battery begins early!
As very young children, some sadly way too young, the vast majority of us learned to fear our feelings. As a three, four and five year old child we experience our existence with joy and happy expectation. Life feels lke an incredible adventure to explore with glee. At least, most of the time. It's often something very silly that puts us on the path to accepting what you hear those grown ups saying even though you know it isn't exactly true. An insult in a playground - perhaps the first time another child teases another who is not prepared to handle such a situation. An episode with a bully, or simply the misinterpretation of another little person's exhuberant behaviour as something threatening.
So some simple little event that causes confusion, and this little person, already struggling to be the best he/she can be in all his/her glory, feels an emotional vertigo, possibly for the first time, and it can be a frightening experience despite the simple nature of any perceived problem. In learning to adjust through various stages of our development into maturity this process continues. It's as if we learn to build fences around our hearts when our best action would be to build bridges between hearts. Our society creates an unbalanced demand on human beings to "suck-it-up; to deny their own sensibilities and instead buy into a party line, for the sake of the party. To work your butt off for the company, to be abused and abusive , to be able to accept these things as fact means, IMHO; a person has shut down most of those joyful, exhuberant, spontaneous sensations almost completely. How else can we explain some of the phenomenas we see before our eyes? War in the 21st century - no way - how did we accept this, if not by numbing ourselves to the pain we inflict on our earth family and the natural world.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think if people can start to see behind these things they'll be able to resolve most of that internal confusion. If it never got resolved those emotion are still there in memory; as triggers for the next round. Opportunities to choose differently from learned patterned responses. Finding the creative spark Taking a moment to let yourself not cringe, to be brave and stand up for yourself and be proud because you really are beautiful and a wonderful person and you're scared as heck to go there because if you let your guard down, someone will hurt you...
No they won't! Most of the time that's not what happens at all but people watch for it, expect it and even create it's opportunity by concentrating on pre-conceived ideas of how things are., ideas we all to often simply accept as fact without giving it a second thought.
Yup, I think feelings have people scared as heck, that's why they pretend to love instead of truly accepting someone else unconditionally. That's why people forget to take care of themselves while they are busy "do-ing" for others. When we can pause for a moment and peer behind that personal smokescreen we can re-connect our heart with our lives and learn to feel again!

Hm-m-m, this was just s'posed to be a note, I was thinking about the subject, and saw some connections and though I was making notes for a poem! Ha!
Perhaps the poem will come in the morning after a good night's aleep!

A Hopi Prayer
A friend posted this elsewhere, and it seems too beautiful a sentiment to see leave it there without allowing the sentiment to reach out and touch other's hearts.
A prayer, I'm told, a poem too. It's words speak volumes to my very soul!
Hopi Prayer
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush of
Quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

In the process of becoming a diamond, we experience much stress and pressure.
I often don't share copies of these interesting documents I come across because their length can be tedious for some. This particular article seems to have not only a sense of foreboding but also a sense of great promise depending on how we approach certain challenges that we will be presented with over the next few months.
I think the rainbows that have been appearing regularly of late, at somewhat unusual times, is a sign of these coming pressures and troubles. And I'm certain people of the world are ready for the challenge to co-create an environment that supports and enhances all life in all it's guises! I take a deep breath and prepare to ride the most incredible roller coaster of all - life!

| http://www.tomkenyon.com/hathors/hathors8.html A Catalytic and Volatile Phase of Global Transformation Hathors — 3.17.06 — Spain You are about to enter another catalytic and volatile phase of global transformation. From our perspective, it would be helpful for you to understand that, as a collective, you are poised between two contrasting worlds. Your present reality is shifting right before your eyes. And along with it many of your current philosophical and religious paradigms, as well as your economic and political structures, are being challenged to say the least. In terms of cultural thought forms and values, you are entering a kind of no-man’s land where your social anchors and benchmarks will be of little use to you. Your present global cultural reality is changing radically in ways that will be difficult to control—especially for those currently in power. But while the dissolution of your present world is accelerating, so are the beginnings of your future reality, which as we have mentioned earlier, will be multi-dimensional in nature with many diverse cultural and artistic viewpoints co-existing simultaneously. Before this possible new Renaissance can take place, however, humanity seems headed into an increase of catalytic and volatile events to shake loose its fixation on certain beliefs that no longer work in mankind’s best interest, and are, in fact, a danger to the continuance of biological life on this planet. In other words, your collective cultural beliefs and how you live in your world are threatening life itself. The seeds of this new world, of which we speak, are already being sown, and some of the new ways of thinking, feeling and being are starting to show themselves in embryonic ways. Look to your new generations to see how these signs of the new world are showing themselves. What some persons view as anti-social and aberrant behaviors are, in some cases, an attempt to return to a type of personal sanity in a world that has gone mad. Remember, that you are moving between the present ways of thinking and living to an, as yet, undefined sense of the new world—and its vast potentials for spiritual and cultural evolution. But this movement into your future that some call a new Golden Age is, not in fact, guaranteed or a done deal as the saying goes. Your future (both individually and collectively) depends upon what you choose to do or don’t do now—in each and every moment of your present reality. The future, in other words, does not just happen, but rather it is forged in the foundry of personal choice. We think it vital that you understand what you are up against as you move to create a more benevolent and life-friendly future. We say this because there are those who would shape the emerging new world and this new age of humanity according to their own selfish ends. Many of them have held the reins of the old world into the present moment through the power of money and politics, while others have held the reins through spiritual dominance and control. These forces will not let go of their power lightly. We have said, on many occasions, that you can change your destiny in the last final moments. The prophecies of doom need not come true, for you are the creators of your future—though to be more exact—you are actually the co-creators of your future. And the co-creator with you in this task of creating a new world is consciousness itself—what some of you call God or Goddess—but which we refer to as The Great Mystery. The energies of self-awareness and spiritual evolution continue to emanate from deep space, as we mentioned in previous postings. Yet collectively, humanity still resists this impulse to higher evolution and awareness. To be fair to you, you have been and continue to be manipulated by those who wield planetary power for their own personal gain. They are not interested in the elevation of humanity—far from it. And so you are caught between the pressures of spiritual evolution, which are bombarding you from deep space, and those who increasingly work to control and manipulate you. As we have noted before, the continual inability of humanity to move upward in consciousness (whether through an inherent defect in its nature, or through control and manipulation) will have potentially devastating effects upon your ecological systems. Expect further increases in erratic weather patterns, volcanic activity and earthquakes. Although your science does not recognize this, we would say to you that such activities are both natural cycles of your Earth as a conscious being, and also the result of a co-creation between you and Earth her self. Your collective thought forms and patterns of emotion, not to mention your physical actions, have direct affects upon the Earth, her evolution and the evolution of life—as you know it. If you read previous postings, you will see that we have advocated that you store food and water as well as emergency supplies—a precaution for potential disruptions due to economic, climatic and seismic changes. We would now say to you that this is not precautionary, but a highly probable possibility. True, catastrophe can be averted at the twelfth hour, if the collective spiritual vibration of humanity were to move upward en masse, but we do not, unfortunately, see this in your time-line (at least, at this time). So we advise you to make some practical plans for yourself and your loved ones, just in case normal sources of food and water become disrupted. We also mentioned, previously, a time line regarding the value of your money, and that time line is now upon us. Unless some unforeseen force comes into play, this economic downturn will most likely take place on a global level in the next few months. How severe it will be depends upon many factors, not the least of which are international decisions made by those who hold the reins to the world power. No one can say for certain, what your future will be like—either individually or collectively, because there is always the possibility for conscious choice at any moment. And conscious choice or intent can and does alter the quantum field of consciousness itself and thus eventually even physical reality (if the power of choice or intent is strong enough). And so it is that we do not predict your future. We are only saying what we see in your timeline unless you collectively make different choices in how you live your lives and how you deal with each other and the Earth. In many ways, survival is an intelligence test. In this light, we would say that the cosmic test of increased spiritual evolution is putting you and everyone else under extreme pressure. Nothing less than an upward movement in global consciousness will suffice. Nothing less than spiritual mastery will allow you to pass through the eye of the needle that is upon you. Those who master the new vibratory realms of consciousness and find ways to express them in physical reality—in how they live their lives—these will be the stewards who bring in the new age and the new world. We have spoken many times about the need for states of ecstasy and bliss, as these are the signatures of the higher vibratory realms of which we speak. Although we have said and continue to say that entering these states is inherently easy, we also recognize that they are difficult to create when you are under duress. This is why we encourage you to find your spiritual center in these increasingly difficult times. By spiritual center we mean the still point within you where you are in touch with your own inner nature. For some of you this means regular meditation, for others it means being in nature, or some other way of connecting with your inner self. Whatever means you have found to center yourself, you must make it second nature. And do it regularly. We say this because as your world becomes more chaotic, it will be more difficult to find your center unless you have trained yourself to enter it at will. The vibratory realms of ecstasy, bliss, appreciation, and gratitude are not just elevators of consciousness, they are also protectors. They will help you remain in a higher vibratory field than those around you, should those around you descend into lower expressions of their nature. Should you find yourself in such situations, we suggest you quietly (without drawing attention to yourself) move your emotions into these higher vibratory realms (appreciation, gratitude, ecstasy and bliss). Although you will be in the same physical dimension as those around you, you will be in a different emotional and vibratory dimension. And when it comes to fate or destiny—it all hinges on vibration—specifically what vibrational realm you are residing in. And this ultimately depends, as do most things, upon choice. From one perspective, for sure, you are entering extremely dangerous times. From another perspective, however, you have unprecedented opportunities to rapidly accelerate your spiritual evolution and mastery. These opportunities exist literally because the pressure waves of evolution and the social and cultural pressures to conform are hitting you from all sides. You are, in this sense, much like a piece of coal that is placed under immense pressure—a pressure that is seemingly beyond your control. It is indeed uncomfortable to live through such pressure, but the result, spiritually speaking, is that you become a diamond. We hold for you a vision of your grandest destiny. We hold this vision in our hearts; this is true. But only you can make it so. The Hathors © 2006 Tom Kenyon. All rights reserved. Columnar Rainbows and a great link: Atmospheric Optics, beautiful photos!
More rainbows have entered our lives! I've yet to fully appreciate the symbology of this one but I have to share with you what happened last week; we got rainbowed! And it was a fun experience for our neighbourhood.
It was the day before my 50th birthday, so a milestone sort of day. We had been out for a drive and were returning home, on the approach to the turn for our street. I thought I spied a columnar rainbow to my right but thought it might just be my sunglasses so I slid them down and there it was! As we made our turn and headed down our street the sun was in front of us and there were two columns of rainbow along and above both sides of the street! I didn't have my camera at the time unfortunately and wonder if I would've been able to capture it!
We stopped at the store at the end of our street and laughed with the store owner that the rainbow may be a sign of good luck. It certainly may! Though columnar rainbows are common this time of year when the air is particularly cold and crisp and I have seen several over the years. I've rarely seen them in the city, except in Niagara Falls where the air is saturated with moisture!
Rainbows... I've begun to track how rainbows have some significance in my life...
I was born in Niagara Falls. There we had the Rainbow Bridge - one of the main border crossings to the US; the bridge is close to the falls itself and there are often rainbows over the Niagara River near where the bridge is located.
As a child I recall there were often rainbows over the falls itself; with all the water droplets in the air there are bound to be rainbows when the sun is just right. I remember too, making rainbows of my own with a garden hose on a sunny day! I had quite a penchant for rainbows then!
Check out this site called: Atmospheric Optics (My links seem to be colourless today!) or cut & paste this address; http://www.atoptics.co.uk/ ) There are beautiful photographs of various rainbows and information about how and why they ocurr. It's a fun site to visit on a rainy day! Re: rainy days bring rainbow ways!
Update on the story boards... I've not done well at all in that area and while it disappoints me a bit I've been focusing on photography and learning the full potential of my camera. Which suggests to me I might to a collage photo type of board eventually, or something claymation...
I was going to try scanning simple sketches but I couldn't even seem to pull that off with any flair! eee gads!!!
So I'm learning my camera is actually pretty awesome! Once I started experimenting with the manual featuresI came to appreciate what I might accomplish with a digital medium. Lately I've been trying close up Macro shots and adjusting various settings to record the effect and help me remember the settings. Some sort of doll, or claymation or sculpture sounds highly reasonable!
I've been experimenting more with my PhotoShop too, anything detailed seems work intensive and I suspect that's more because I haven't tapped it's full potential more than it's limitations!
In the meantime check out that site and I hope you see a rainbow soon!

The Rainbow Way, Naturally!
a piece of a poem taken from luckydragon 's post on February 3rd;
the world requires the room to grow
to change, to flower to reap and sow
our natural world gives the keys to solutions
our world is the product of our mass resolutions
The poem was a method to work through thoughts regarding recent "cartoon" protests and the wide range of emotions being displayed throughout the world. Having been able to move through my own "feelings" about the issue I particularly found this part of the poem so very promising and I hope others too can see through the smoke screens and appreciate what's really going on in our world.
Humans are evolving! Incredible as that may seem when you look around your own neighborhood or watch the news. There really is something happening here and what it is, is exactly clear! It will take patience and understanding to allow the development to come through but there is no doubt in my mind that it will. The debate over free speech, over sensitivity to others feelings, over how one "deals with" one's own feelings, over freedom. over democracy, over religious beliefs, over any beliefs that may be held fondly by anyone, that debate is "in process" and how we come through this will determine where and how our world will develop from here.
The poem makes the point that our natural world is change. And points to our natural world for the solutions. This is very much in line with the Rainbow way. When radicals of any belief system begin to see the folly of their ways there will be great change in the world we know. Our world will then be allowed it's own freedom and will be allowed to change and develop and move forward with us in our evolution.
Can it be understood that the world has been hostage to our limited and limiting belief systems for far too long? Can the connections between upheavals in society as well as weather pattens and volcanic activities be seen as the earth's attempt to adjust in a world that won't accept change?
If life is change, does it make sense to desperately hold onto beliefs that were developed three thousand years ago? Somehow, it seems to me, old beliefs need to adjust to a current view of the world! And it's not just my opinion, it just appears that this is the natural way of things that we all need to adopt somehow.
I don't wish to suggest all beliefs be thrown by the wayside or that they are not useful. I do wish to suggest that we do ourselves much good by allowing things to grow from one thing to another, to evolve and to continue on in a new light. This natural pattern of existence is interfered with when we don't allow ourselves and our society the "space to grow".
Even in the so-called "new world" there is a tendancy for people to want things to remain the same, to be predictable and reliable. The natural world teaches us this is not the way of the world and yet we continue to try to draw lines across the continent to mark "borders" that nature can't see and protect "institutions" that nature will not acknowledge. Well the borders are questionable at best, and even with borders - things still come and go. The institutions continue their struggle to survive but will finally fall by the wayside when people begin to accept that they are the one's who must take on the responsibility of caring for their neighbors and their world. The institutions will fall or they will change. Static they cannot be for much longer - the natural world simply cannot tolerate such impossible demands!
Darwin studied evolution and understood something special goes on here on this wonderous earth on which we live. Perhaps his theories will get updated soon - our world is the product of cooperation between all the species and elements that are present - not as the result of competition as is commonly believed. Still we always should remember it is only a theory and while it may seem plausible it may not be fact!
However I don't think anyone can dispute the changes that occur, that each of us experience every day. Perhaps we can work toward becoming masters of change instead of trying to be keepers of a "status quo" that simply will not be held static.
What we can create as a "new normal" is limited only by our imaginations! The natural world is opening the door and encouraging us all to use our creative abilities and create a world healthier and happier than anything we've experienced here before!
