I did a week long lesson on scoring movies and writing soundtracks in my music appreciation class once. I used Isaac Hayes' film score for the movie Shaft as one of the example. The kids just thought it was neat that he was the voice of Chef in the show South Park.
As many bloggers have posted and mourned, we've lost a comedic genius on Sunday. George Carlin, best known for "Seven Words You Can Never Use on Television," died in Los Angeles, at the age of 71. According to his publicist, the cause of death was heart failure.
Carlin became a stand-up comic in the late 50's, and debuted his first solo guest appearance on "The Merv Griffin Show" in 1965. By the 70's, he was a well-known comedian, and had made more than 80 major television appearances, while regularly being featured in nightclubs in New York and Las Vegas, however he felt his clean-cut image was a lie. It was at this time Carlin reinvented himself to become the comedian we all grew to love; a man who wasn't afraid of words or honesty.
The Associated Press released the above news clip summing up details of his life and death. Carlin will be greatly missed, though his humor and inspiration will live on.
I hope you are proud of me. I have some people interested in my work...LOL!...well not some.....just 2 and even if nothing happens with this I'm proud of myself for even having the courage to put it out there.

Yesterday... Last night kid came over and took Smiley (our only canary left) out of her cage. Then he claimed he wanted to make it drink by putting it under the tap and showering it with hot water until it died and then put it back into its cage.
Today... We rent our house so the owner came and she OMG cut down every tree and shrub and bush and everything. And plus with the summer coming there won't be anything to guard our house against the sunlight, it's just gonna go straight through and warm up the house like hell. We can't even open the blinds without half the world seeing inside our house (a large section of it is just huge glass windows that cover the whole wall). Anyway, I was really upset about what she did, I almost started crying. I don't know how she has the heart to do that. She'll do anything to make our lives miserable.
Anyway... The stupid internet blocking thing? Well...I've got quite a number of net nannies on me and plus, my browser just closes itself if I go on anything "bad". Everything, even to the extent of GOOGLE search engine is being blocked. I really don't know why. And I couldn't care less.
