Quarterbacks @ MindSay

Quarterbacks go down hard.
One week into the NFL season and the injuries are piling up. There is a long list of players, but most surprising is that four teams will already be starting different QBs in week 2. The Patriots, Titans, Chiefs and Bucs will all be using their backups.

Favre Poised To Become Winningest Quarterback
Brett Favre could become the all-time winningest quarterback on Sunday, if the Packers can beat the New York Giants.  With the Packers' win last Sunday, Favre tied John Elway's record for career victories by a starting quarterback with 148.

What's Going On In Atlanta?

Of all the things in the NFL, I think I'm most surprised by Michael Vick.  He has been thoroughly unimpressive, and I have always thought that he was amazing.  I don't think he was overhyped, so I guess that just means that he's having a rough time this year.  Or the rest of the Falcons are weaker.  He hasn't been getting much protection.

What Quarterback Controversy?

Foxsports.com's John Czarnecki seems to think that the "quarterback controversy" in Chicago is a bad thing.  I, of course, think he's on crack.  How can having three guys who could all be starters be a bad thing?  They all know that they have to give 100% all the time and work their butts off if they want to be the starter, and they all know that if they aren't doing a good job, there's two other guy quite capable of taking over.  Talk about motivation.  I think it's great.

Harrington To Visit Miami, Cincinatti
League and team sources confirmed today that Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington will visit with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals over the next few days.

Harrington will arrive in Miami on Tuesday evening for a Wednesday visit with Dolphins officials. He will then go to Cincinnati on Wednesday night for a Thursday meeting with the Bengals. Although several other teams are interested in Harrington, including Kansas City, no other visits are currently planned.
