I am doing well. Hope you all are doing well. Not much has changed in my life! Still busy as hell and bored when I am not busy!:D
I think the pod people stole my husband last night and left me one of theirs! I suggested to Randy that we go to the Casino for dinner and that way I can use one of my $10 dollar coupons! Otherwise I loose my coupons until I go 3 months back to back! He agreed! No fights! No smart ass comments nothing! He really didn't appreciate me asking where my actual husband was at!
So I got my moms to watch the kids for me and I took the plunge and drove across the above posted bridge. I hate driving bridges but this bridge out right scares the shit out of me! I have driven across the Golden Gate and never lost my breath, breakfast, or felt like taking a dump like I do on this bridge! This is the only toll road in our area. And it is the old grating style bridge and very narrow. And it always seems to be my luck that I end up with a cattle rig or an over the road rig on the bridge with me at the same Goddess Dayum time!
Normally I avoid this bridge but I wasn't about to drive in a circle to get to the casino. I got lucky and meet no rigs either way on the dayum thing! We didn't win anything but I saw a lot of my highschool friends last night! I think it was get away from the hosue and kids night for everyone! Some were playing at the Bingo hall and others were doing what I was doing! Using our monthly coupons of free money so we don't loose them!
Today I worked a bit on my last paper. The Professor is holding me to a high standard (her words not mine) and tears apart my rough drafts! Got to love her! I am not worried about the final. I study every day. My goal is to tear apart my rough draft according to the professor's suggestions so I get an A for my final paper.
I am meeting a friend of mine for lunch. I am actually leaving here to go order our Chix salads and takign it to her job for her. We are going to eat in the hospital's cafeteria. I'll find out what happened between her and her ol man on Saturday. I heard bits and pieces from Randy since her ol man told him a bit about it on Sunday. I am nosey sue me:P
After eating with her, I'll get my Dollar General run down, pick up the kids and we will blaze to TKD. Where we will get our belts from post testing. Since we were all sick last week we didn't go much to our instructors pleasure! He told me that a good dozen kids showed up for TKD and he sent them home due to flu symptoms. Then I'll treat the kids and Randy to take out either pizza or Thai blaze home. Take a fast spit bath, grab my que and go pick up Ashley the youngest of our pool team. Thankfully we are playing at our Pub tonight so it won't put me late by pickign her up. Let's just hope she is actually at her mom's house in our town instead of her Granny's house in Macy!

For the past few years, I and many other ppl have been feeling like we have been living in a increasing Communist Country. Our various freedoms and the right to do the most basic things has become illegal or taxed the hell out of. Did our Founding Fathers NOT start this country to get away from gov't rule and stupid assinine lack of common sense?
But US Citizens do not dispare! We are NOT alone in how our gov't is becoming a Communist Rule and telling us what we can do, how to do what they tell us we can do, and all that jive! The Britions are no better off then we are! Only difference is their anal retintive gov't calls their taxes and stupid ass laws "Sin Taxes".
The UK not only went after smoking but now they are going after drinking. And cars! Hey at least they are being fair if you ask my opinon on that! Not only are they making it illegal to kill oneself with smoke by making it almost unattinable to smoke anywhere but your house, now the UK is hiking their already HIGH booze tax up another 6%. They are now trying to do away with the "pub" scene. The car issue is along the lines of SUVs and bigger vechiles. For many US Citizens they have no clue exactly how expensive it is over in the UK.
Case in point when us US Citizens were bitching about paying 1.70 plus a gallon on gas the UK Citizens were already paying about 3-4 bucks a gallon for gas. So just imagine what they are paying now with US Citizens paying about 3-4 bucks a gallon for gas. They are looking at almost a 10 dollar a gallon gas fill.
Many British Citizens are speaking out on these "Sin" Taxes. Baisc enjoyment for many ppl of drinking, smoking, and driving vechiles they already paid otu the ass on are now "SINS" and they will be taxed for it. Citizens over in the UK have pointed out that their ecomony is just as shitty as the US's and the gov't is stupid ass hell for hiking these taxes because it will NOT stop ppl from drinking or smoking. If a person wants to drink and smoke they are going to. It won't stop them from driving their vechiles anymore than US Citizens have stopped driving big vechiles. All it is going to do is cost the Gov't money by loss of revenue.
And once our lovely gov'ts tax basic enjoyments to death and cause the majority of citizens in their country to stop doing what they enjoy, and cost the gov't revenue they will start taxing to death basic everyday living items even more than they already do. Because we all know that it isn't the gov't that keeps our countries running. It is the citizens and how they are taxed to death and then told we have no say in anything. We are told how to live our lives, what we can and can't do.
Saying this to anyone in our gov'ts can consitute a treason act if we act against it. Even when the US Consitution says the US Citizens have the right to rise up and clean out our own gov't. If we should do this we are committing a treasonist act even though we have a consitutional right to do so. In otherwords, if the Citizens of the US finally wise up and stop their bitching and act, we are dayumed. If we continue our bitching and do nothing we are dayumed. At least the US Citizens have a small recourse with our Consititution. I am not sure what the British Citizens have for recourse.
Got to love our Communist Gov'ts that use the guise of democrocy to beat down their citizens.

. . . its cold and overcast, the street is wet . . . its building up to begin raining again, any moment. Crossing the street and just stepping onto the curb, he feels the first few raindrops and a quick cold wind pushes the drops to pick up speed as he does. Reaching ahead of him as far as he can . . . opens the door and pushes the rain and the chill back, outside . . . and then steps straight seeking to find the faint warmth that seems to be deeper inside. He unbuttons his coat and unwraps his scarf, but is chilled and not sure how much he dares unwrap just yet.
It's an intimate, luxurious pub and the fireplace is built into a thick extending wall and ledge, separating the bar from the dining area. There's plenty of empty tables and he lays the coat and scarf in a chair and steps directly to the fireplace. A man comes over, adds more wood, stirs the fire and it starts to soak the chill out of him, warm enough for him to relax and not shiver.
She comes up from behind him and puts her arms over his shoulders. He turns around and she keeps her arms around his neck and he put his arms loosely around her. He looks into see her eyes and she tilts her head and gives him a very long soft kiss. Her face is cold, wet and flushed from coming in from outside. He wants to say something . . . she looks at him and puts her finger over his lips to keep him from speaking.
She takes off her coat and is dressed in a long brown shift dress. She kisses his cheek and then turns and takes him by the hand over to a pair of warm, deep, chairs across from the fireplace. She patted the adjacent chair seat and had him sit down. He looked and she wasn’t wearing any jewelry on her left hand, but noticed she had a very large single diamond on the ring finger on her right hand. He looked up at her again and she had been watching him. She turns and orders hot hot tea, which is brought moments later. She quietly prepares the tea . . . just the right sweet . . . milk . . . and offers it to him steaming.
She smiles, set back and sunk into the chair. Once she was comfortable she reaches for his hand, smiles and looks into his eyes for a long time. She held his hand and wiped a tear from her eye with the other. “You want to hear my perfect British accent?” She said a few phrases, straightening in her chair and laughing. “I have a British passport too and . . . . this” She settled into the chair again and then pulled her dress tighter across her abdomen so the roundness showed. Her eyes looked into his looking for his reaction, but they were empty as he looked. “His name is Geoffrey”, her eyes still looking into his she wipes a tear from each.
They sat there for a long time; she occasionally wiped a tear from her eye. She looked towards the door and stood up and reached for her coat. A man came in with a very little girl barely a toddler in his left arm. He smiled, introduced himself and extended his right hand to shake.
He looked back and she had put on her coat. She walked up close to him, he could have put his arms around her, then she whispered, “It’s a nice Estate nearby” she looked at him again and then they walked out together and down the street.

To investigate antiherpetic substances from Ganoderma lucidum, various protein bound polysaccharides, GLhw, GLhw-01, GLhw-02, GLhw-03, were isolated by activity-guided isolation from water soluble substances of the carpophores. These substances were examined for their antiviral activities against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2) by plaque reduction assay in vitro. Among them, the acidic protein bound polysaccharide, GLhw-02 of a brownish substance, exhibited the most potent antherpetic activity with 50% effective concentrations (EC50) of 300 approximately 520 microg/ml in Vero and HEp-2 cells, and its selectivity indices (SI) were more than 20. GLhw-02 was identified to consist mainly of polysaccharide (approximately 40.6%) and protein (approximately 7.80%) by anthrone test and Lowry-Folin test, and showed the usual molar ratio (C:H:O = 1:2:1) of carbohydrates by elemental analysis. These results suggest that GLhw-02 possesses the possibility of being developed from a new antiherpetic agent.
