Look whoes kid is out of step.lol
My profile pic is my 3 year old at VBS. Yes, she's the one standing by herself looking thuroughly confuzzled. the one thats three steps behind everyone else. But for her, that's progress! she was around other kids without screaming. And not only that, but on stage in front of everyone! I am so proud of her!

Every day after VBS We worked with her on the songs. her speech therapist would go over each word till she could say most of them clearly. We brought her up to the stage area every day to get her used to it. We did everything that we could so she could have a chance doing the same thing everone else her age was.

And she did well! actually as far as i'm concerned, she did brilliantly!Yay Miss YY. You can do it!

I'm me again

MindSay's profile/icon pic upload now works, much to the relief of us formerly headless voids.  Now I'm back as a blue maple leaf, as the Great Jehova and the Continental Congress intended.

dating sucks

Oy...so as I mentioned before, I'm recently single and friends have said to try match.com because they thought I could meet people close to my area without having to go to a bar or some other silly thing that younger people do.  So I surf around a little just for the hell of it and build a profile, but I don't post a picture.

And for some reason, my profile screams out "if you are between 250-300 lbs, don't have a job, walk with a cane and are a horny bastard, you should write to me!"  Now, I don't know what in the hell I said that could possibly provoke such people to respond, but I guess I did.  These guys are completely opposite of what I expected.  One guy's profile said he was "athletic and toned" when you could clearly see in the photo where he was sitting on his "hog" that his belly has prevented him from seeing his toes for at least the last 10 years!

Now I'm no skinny minnie, but my past two very long term relationships consisted of men that were in pretty decent shape and not carrying a small wading pool in their bellies.  So I thought, maybe I'm being shallow (no pun intended!)

I did chat with and actually meet one guy whose picture didn't really seem like my type, but he seemed quite amusing, sarcastic, funny and fun...but there was just no chemistry whatsoever.  He was ready to jump in with both feet, but I'm just not ready for that.

I don't know if I should just give it up, but after being married for 17 years and in a long term relationship for another 10, that it would be nice to have someone to hang out with.  Where are all the cool people?!!!!!
