sucky: my current love interest is never allowed to see me again. he's on probation for drug abuse, which he quit doing, and he's 19, so he's not suppose to hang out (or make out) with underage girls, such as myself. so he said we can't hang out until he's off of probation or i'm 18, which are both 2+ years from now. i'm not sure if he's worth it, but if i'm single at that time, i think i'll give it a go. he gave my a hicky, but that won't last. i'm gunna miss his tongue ring...  he said he likes me alot and that it's hard to find girls who are into the same stuff as him, like rob zombie and violent, gory movies and making out on pool tables *giggle*

Wastewater Could Help Fight U.S. Drought—and Anthrax

And they've figured out better ways to apply it, either by imbedding it in filter fibers, turning it into a foam or integrating it into solid surfaces using chemical vapor deposition (the same process semiconductor companies use to make thin films). When light hits TiON, its electrons activate, meaning they jump to a higher orbit. Exposed to water, these energetic electrons oxidize—and neutralize—pathogens quickly and thoroughly. ‘We are going to have an alternative that will be effective in controlling pathogens without adding chemicals to the water,’ says University of Illinois environmental engineering professor Benito Mariñas, co-leader of the WaterCAMPWS Disinfection Team. TiON could treat naturally occurring microorganisms as well as bioterrorism agents, such as anthrax. Proposed Bush budget cuts would hit hospitals

“As they often do this time of year, things are looking bad for hospitals. The federal government is proposing cuts to the Medicare and Medicaid programs, a huge source of hospital revenue. So hospital organizations are engaging in their annual lobbying ritual - spewing out numbers, warning of cutbacks, and collaring legislators. It all feels familiar, but hospital leaders say things are worse than usual this year. […] [Delaware Valley Healthcare Council] estimates that hospitals in Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania suburbs would lose $230 million in the next year. Of that, he said $170 million would be hard cuts. Scientist gets light sentence for mailing bacteria

“Nearly four years after it started, a legal drama for a genetics researcher at the University of Pittsburg that at one time involved allegations of bio terrorism has finally ended -- with the minimum fine and unsupervised probation. Dr. Robert E. Scientists not prepared for biosecurity threat

Chlorine poses potentially deadly threat, critical weakness exposed by NYPD [New York City Police Department]

“Representative Edward J. Markey (D-MA), a senior member of the House Homeland Security Committee, reacted today to news that New York Police Department investigators were able to easily and anonymously purchase toxic chlorine via the Internet. Rep. Markey has repeatedly expressed concern over potential use of chemicals like chlorine by terrorists and authored a provision, which is part of the 9/11 Commission Recommendation law signed by the president last August (PL 110-53), to require mandatory re-routing of security-sensitive materials such as chlorine to the safest and most secure rail route. IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] Helps Recover Stray Radioactive Sources in Nigeria

“At the request of the Nigerian government, the IAEA deployed a team of nuclear safety experts to secure and transport several potentially hazardous radioactive sources in the country. Staff from the Agency´s Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Waste Technology department (NEFW) traveled to several different locations within Nigeria to safely recover the radiological sources and ship them in transport containers for return to Canada or processing at a Nigerian waste facility. My truck-break in suspect: 

 

I did a little snooping in the Maryland Court System database.

 

He has 4 criminal traffic charges

He has 2 domestic violence charges

He already has probation on his record

 

Best (or worst) or worst of it all, he was born in July of 1987.  That means that just this month, he turned or is turning TWENTY YEARS OLD!

 

If he is still on probation and they can tie him to the 6 truck break-in's on my street, he'll probably spend some time in jail.  When they arrest him, I'm going to talk to the Prosecutor about what he's facing.  If he isn't going to get jail time, I'm demanding an intervention of some sort.  He could take some training, do community service, go to college, go to Job Corps, I don't care....just SOMETHING to turn his life around.  Nobody should be thrown away at 20 years old.  I just hope that he gets it through his skull that he has to change. 

 

Wonder if I can call Dog the Bounty Hunter and ask him if he could have a chat with our suspect!!!?????

Dear Friends,

Shawn (my 21 y/o son) is out of jail!! On bond from 2 counties.( $5,000 each!) He is pretty confident that the charges from Cobb county will be dropped, and then he will finish up his probation in Gwinnett by November and be kept on the first offenders status, which means no felony. I hope so for his sake.

He is going to begin searching for a job this week. He recognizes that he needs to find better friends, new friends, supportive friends. And get into a support group so he can learn about his illness of Bipolar. So he can set good boundaries for himself and not repeat this pattern again in a few months.

We may be seeing him tonite if Mark can get home in time. (Ack traveling to Marietta at that time of day will be HUGE!) It will have been since Mothers day that I have seen him. I'm a little nervous. But it will be ok.
