Finally there are only two days left until I can board that plane and leave America behind for nine fantastic months.
Everything that I own is currently strewn across my bedroom floor, and I haven't been packing so much as pacing around and staring at it all - wondering how it's ever going to fit into my tiny suitcase and backpack.
It still hasn't really occurred to me that I'm going to be living in England this time next week. I've been watching BBC America, and movies like Love Actually and The Holiday and those things make me more excited and make it seem a little bit more real to me, but honestly I don't think I'll be able to actually believe this is happening until I can catch that first glimpse of British soil through the plane window.
Tomorrow I'm going back to the U of M for a seriously last minute trip to see all my old friends again, one last time while I still can. It's going to be so weird having to start all over again. Normally Sophomore year is a time to meet up with all the people you met before and return to a place that you've already gotten to know, but for me it's going to be freshmen year a second time around.
Hopefully I will get all my packing done in time, and get an aisle seat on the way to Iceland, but a window seat on the way to London. :)
