One Class is Enough this Semester!

Good Goddess Above!  My brain is fried!  I bailed on exersising again this evening and my moms immeditally got after me for that.  Your going to loose your momentem...blah blah blah.........your starting to loose that water weight...blah blah blah.  I kept my kewl and politly informed her that my school work at this time takes priority over any walking or eliptical machine.  Then my mother who hasn't been in any form of school (I don't count continuing credits to keep her RN License) for 50 some years, said it shouldn't be that hard to do your work during the day.  Mind you my mother didn't go to college college.  She went to a 4 year Catholic Nursing school and only took core courses for nursing!

It took me literally all day minus 20 minutes in the morning to take the kids to school and three and half hours this evening (we had a school function to go to for the kids) to complete all but my final essay for this week.  I read the main chapter for this week and after looking at next weeks assignment, I don't have to read the other two chapters she went over in our notes this week till NEXT WEEK.  I took all my notes, I read everyone's postings, I posted my main posting today and responded over 4 times to other people's main posting (we only have to do 2 for the maxium to recieve a grade), I hunted down two completely different News Editorials to do my assignment.  One on the US's No Child Left Behind Law and one from Jeruslum on Ramadan.  I wrote, typed, and then posted both articles and my take of appeals and submitted them to the prof.  I read 4 different classmates essays and picked one to make suggestions on.  I posted my suggestions and printed off next week's assignments and new topic for the next paper.  I also wrote down about two dozen ideas to "improve" my final draft of the Self Discriptive Essay, the Prof likes my paper but says I am not descriptive enough.  I am going to work in the fact I am actually a very private person til I obtain a comfort level with others:D

I finally got all this done at 10 pm tonight!  During the day and all my homework, I managed to get two loads of laundry done, discuss and be interviewed for my girl Teri for one of her papers and gave her some presidential historic information on Jimmy Carter for another paper and consented in talking to my brother for 45 minutes.  In the afternoon, the kids and I did our Dollar General run (that is my new wally world:P), killd some time at the Buffalo pasture reading the Historical marker and took a few pictures of the buffalo, then we went up to the school for Family Science night!  The kids really enjoyed themselves and now we have to show Randy how to implode soda cans, pull plant DNA, and explode two 2 liters of soda using menthos and life savers!  The program was run by one of the NE Medical Center Genetisist out of Lincoln and I think a Highschool Biology teacher out of Omaha!  I was a big kid and managed to snag a lil vile of strawberry dna that the kids (all school kids present) helped to pull tonight!  I gave it to a lil girl who didn't get any though.  Oh and we have to show Randy how to ease a no shell hard boiled egg into a beaker flask with out breaking it and then show him how to get it out!

I don't think I could handle two or three classes this semester for my first semester back.  Not with everything I do around this house for everyone including people who don't live in my house!  I am doing good if I do say so myself.  And tomorrow my "date" with my girl Bree is actually going off with out a hitch!  My moms is taking the kids to school for me so I can meet Bree in the morning.  We will do her small errands and then Casino HERE WE COME!  Randy set me a 100 buck limit and Arjan set Bree a 50 buck limit not counting lunch or any stops we make.  Those killjoys know that Bree and I can sit at the casino all day if allowed!  As long as we are out of the casino by 2 pm to pick up our respected kids all is good!  I won't even complain about having to drive to the city tomorrow night for TKD and then kill two hours before my Leadership class AFTER our actual TKD class!

My New Addiction
It has been a long while since I have had the time to sit and write...so here I am sitting and writing! But soon I will be engaging in my newest obsession, posting on Shelfari!

My friend Laura introduced me to it earlier this week and I simply cannot stay off this site. I enjoy it on so many levels. I am nosy, so I like looking at what other people are reading. I like writing reviews, as you all know. And my favorite part is posting the books that I have read. I've already decided to post my entire library, an activity that should last me the rest of my life.

This isn't so much a blogging entry as a cry for help. Somebody stop me!!

:)

Second Camping Trip of the Year!

Well I am the majority of the way packed for our second camping trip of the year.  This time we are actually doing it right and not going to some rinky dinky lil fair ground camp site.  We are going to a camp site near the Mighty Missiouri River.  Actually our camp sight is next to a lil pond or lake I can't remember the name of it.  But we are with in walking, biking, and driving of the River.

We are going to Gavin's Point Damm, the last damm along the Missiouri River.  It is outside of Yankton, SD and near Crofton, NE.  The campsite we are going to is actually in SD but it is run by the Nebraska Corp of Enginneers so the camp site is actually a NE "town".  Nothing but camp sites:D  There are tons of nice and not so nice camp grounds in the area both on the NE and SD sides of the River and one of many Lewis and Clark Lakes that are above the damm.  This is the area my family has always gone camping at.  We love to fish off the rocks near the damm, and for those of the family that don't like river fishing off the banks but in boats instead, they can either go boating in Lewis and Clark Lake or the River.  Or if you perfer bank fishing off of the lakes or ponds; you can fish in the lil lake near our camp site or in the Lewis and Clark Lake.

They have many hiking trails on both sides of the big lake, they have activites in some of the camp grounds for free for kids and families.  They have bike trails leading into and away from Yankton, Yankton has a lot of activites to do during the summer, you can take a tour of the damm, the fish hatchery, an old church/monstary and along the lil lake we will be camping at, you drive or bike or walk down a ways along the river road the lake has a lil beach area to swim in.

I am just waiting for a couple of loads of laundry to finish up, then I can shower, dress, and finish packing clothes and personal items.  After I load up the clothes, I can load up the dog, the dog food, and dog dishes. Then I can go around to the other animals and load all of them up on food and water for a weekend.  Call and remind my dad to have him or my mom to come up and check on the guine pigs and birds at least Saturday evening or Sunday evening.  And they will let my auntie and uncle know that we are gone so if anyone comes down the lane besides hired men that we aren't home and to check out what is going on.

The only down side of going camping this weekend is, we are missing a going away/good luck party for some friends of ours.  Arwen and Molly are moving to Wyoming next weekend.  Arwen is the brother of my friend Sebrina's hubby Arjan.  Arjan and his family are from the Netherlands and are Permenant Citizens in the US.  Actually Arjan, his brothers Marco and Arwen in a few years are going to become Citizens of the US.  Their brother Andre is going to just keep his permenant status and keep his citizenship in the Netherlands like his parents did.  Arwen is the youngest of the brothers and is the second one to actually leave his family.  Arjan has left his family when he was in his teens and twenties by leaving with his bio dad the majority of the time and then the mandatory 4 years in the military.  He didn't come over to the US until he was in his 20s where his brothers were still in highschool when the family moved over here.  At least Molly and Arwen invited us to come visit with Sebrina and Arjan once they get settled.  I think that would be nice because they will be living with in a few hours drive of Yellow Stone and the kids really like both Molly and Arwen.  Okay it does help Molly's case that she trains horses and when they get moved back towards her family, she and her sister will be raising horses and she told her nephews, neice, and my kids that if mom and dad will allow it she will adopt some mustangs for them and break them and send them back with one of us when we go to visit.

Anyway, I am looking forward to going camping even if it is for 3 nights.  I have most of July and the first part of August to try to get a week long camping trip in somewhere in NE or SD!:D  I promise I will try and post some pictures of this trip since I never did get around to post pictures of my trip to CA!  I have to bring my laptop with me because Randy is anal about posting to gasbuddy.  The freak.
