Portugal @ MindSay
Getting closer to when I go away, which is cool. I still got to organise a passport.
Oh and I'm counting down the months to when I can drive my car by myself. I know petrol is oh so expensive, but I am so over public transport that never gets there on time and sometimes the one you were waiting for doesn't turn up till 8.06am when it was meant to get there at quarter to eight. That was yesterday and alas I was twenty minutes late to work.
If I drive my car I can leave at 7.30am and get to work at 8am. Inevitably getting home by 5pm. Or earlier if I am inclined towards getting up at 6am, which I'm not, so that won't happen.
Can't wait to drive my car! I just hate the learning part... Even though I can drive at 100 km's, I still find myself holding my breath for the first part.
Anyhow, I should be planning something before I go away. I'll email the details to people soon.
I'm writing this at work because mindsay doesn't work at home anymore.
Ciao for now

Happenings...
Friday had my good friend whom I've known since grade 2, Kris had her 22nd birthday party and went to out for a long night out dancing in the city at a much classier club than I'm used to. But I think it was a really good place and it only cost $10 to get in. I wore my sister's awesome super high heels and now kinda have to hobble, but it's not as bad as they were yesterday lol. Totally worth it though because all my friends are really tall and they wear high heels too, so I didn't look short next to them in the photos :). I'm not short, but when people wear heels, it's another story.
Saturday was Kris's birthday again but at Copacabana resteraunt/ dance show/ club. Good fun. This time didn't care and wore sensible shoes so I could actually dance without being in pain lol. Probably took about 50 photos over the two nights and spent a bit, but I don't go clubbing much so when I do I make the most of it. But I was on water last night because I didn't want to spend anymore than the entrance fee.
Today Sunday my sister's good friend is getting baptised so we'll be going to that at a 6pm mass. I'm glad it wasn't in the morning or I'd not have been awake enough to enjoy it. So it will be good tonight.
TRAVEL
Oh I'm going to.... drum roll... Bankok, Spain, Morocco and Portugal for a month. I know I already said about the other places, but mum will be in Bankok for a week so I'm going to join her for a few days.
So cool, I'm booking the trip tomorrow and paying for it up front on the weekend.
Then I'll go tour Europe in January but that's another story and not yet set.
Hasta luego
EVERY PARENT'S WORST NIGHTMARE
Saturday May 5,2007
Mark Reynolds
THE three-year-old daughter of two doctors is feared kidnapped today after disappearing during a family holiday in Portugal.
Kate McCann, a GP, and her husband, Gerry, a heart specialist, had left the toddler – dressed only in white pyjamas – sleeping with her two-year-old twin brother and sister.
Specialist anti-kidnap officers from Britain’s Serious Organised Crime Agency were heading to the resort last night to help the Portuguese police.
Sniffer dogs scoured the area for any signs of the missing youngster. One dog, after smelling a piece of the child’s clothes, appeared to pick up the scent before it disappeared some 50 yards away outside a local supermarket.
The store’s CCTV was checked – but it had not been working.
The McCanns, both 38, from Rothley village, near Leicester, were due to celebrate Maddy’s fourth birthday next week.
They issued an emotional statement, saying: “We have received lots of support from friends, family and the public and the family are very grateful for that support.
“At this time, all the family’s focus is in assisting the UK, and in particular the Portuguese, authorities in securing Madeleine’s safe return.”
